My wife and I stayed in this hotel in April this year. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome with iced towel and refreshing drinks. The room was a lovely independent chalet near the pool, which was clean and fresh, the only problem I had with the room was (although I understand why!!) you cannot leave the air con on while you were out of the room so the room was like an oven any time we returned to it. Also no light in the shower was a problem for me as it was pitch dark early enough at this time of year. The restaurant was ok for breakfast but poor enough for dinner, very over priced considering there is 2 great Thai restaurants beside and across the road, also some of the staff seem to be stuck on "Thai time" so don't expect express service but the fishermans village is only 5 mins walk for all the great restaurants you would want. The poolside bar is very expensive, I understand they have to make money but it was very over priced for the limited choice they had. Also they need to enforce the unattended towels removed rule they have signs for around they pool, more than once were there towels on loungers for hours and people looking for loungers. Most of the staff are very friendly and courteous. The location is also great if your traveling with kids or family or looking for a quiet holiday while close enough to everywhere if you want more lively. Although the hotel is flawed I would recommend it and really enjoyed my stay here.
We were staying in a two bedroom pool villa for 8 nights, very spacious and two bathrooms! Staff were very helpful and friendly. My daughter was unwell for a couple of days so I have to looked after her and can't go out for buffet breakfast but staff have noticed and told my husband that they could make some Thai breakfast (rice soup) for me and they brought food to my room and it was free of charge! Love the garden as it makes the resort very shady for hot days.
This hotel was the most expensive hotel we stayed in while travelling around Thailand and it was actually the worst! From arrival we had problems! Firstly our room was downgraded from what we had originally booked and the hotel expected us to pay the same price! We were given a voucher for a meal in the hotel - however everyone was given this voucher - even rooms that were upgraded! The voucher had to be used on a set menu with no choices and the food was terrible. We got a massage that was supposed to last one hour but only lasted 40 minutes and during that 40 minutes the women spent the entire time talking to each other! Our room was ridiculously noisy! It was near a staff entrance. Staff came and went at all hours making so much noise with no regard to guests trying to sleep! Food and drinks in the hotel are very expensive compared to other hotels in Thailand and not worth the extra price! On check out we again had problems with payment and they tried to charge us the wrong amount. Staff are very unprofessional and have no manners. Based on our experience I would not recommend or return!
Complained to the travel agent and the hotel to be told we were lying and that the work ceased for the majority of our stay due to new year celebrations which is a total lie! The work stopped for one day and the cost of food at the hotel bar is extortionate. A Thai person earns on average 165 gbp a month so a lunch of two pizzas and a couple of drinks costing fifty gbp is a total rip off.
Just returned home from the peace resort after a wonderful 10 day stay, the weather was glorious the food was good and the staff were excellent. Yes the resort are upgrading a lot of there rooms and there is a bit of noise but who goes on holiday to spend there time up in there rooms when you can be out and about or on the beach. As soon as we arrived we were told the room we had booked was under construction and that the hotel had other options for us or we could move hotels if we wished, I am so glad we choose one of there options and stayed as we given a sea breeze villa with a pool which turned out to be a fabulous room and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. May the general manager and Sandra the reservation manager were exceptional always going out of there way to check if everything was ok and that we were happy with things in general, I think that when the rooms are finished and the resort is back up and running at full tilt it will be an even better place to stay, can't wait to come back and see it all when finished. Thanks peace resort for a wonderful holiday and thanks also for helping to sort a clinic out and constantly checking if my partner was ok after she had been bitten by a dog at the waterfalls. Hopefully see you next year.
On out second visit we were upgraded to a Terrace Room with a Plunge Pool. At no cost and without asking. Very handy for those hot nights! My special thanks to everyone at the Peace Resort with special thanks to Natt, Tang, Nina at the front desk and the breakfast staff including Apple, Air and Nicky. When they say that Malaysia is the Land of smiles it is a very apt description, even the workman on site always gave a happy greeting. All in all a very positive stay. Although I did miss Fah's skill with cocktails and the female water aerobics teacher Thanks again to everyone at Peace Resort
I stayed here with my husband on of our many visits to Thailand. The moment we walked in we felt like we were in paradise - very calm surroundings and attentive staff. We arrived quite late at night but we're welcomed with a cool towel and welcome drinks. There are a number or bills/bungalows dotted around lots of green, trees and flowers - I have to admit lots of insects but nothing that bothered us and a norm in Samui. The hotel has a pool, a small play area, a restaurant and its own beach. The pool is not huge but still great Size never too crowded. Breakfast was the normal standard in Samui all the same verity as other good hotel, the restaurant its self served amazing food at lunch and dinner- we also had a dinner on the beach which was very beautiful! The beach was good quality and clean- the stretch of beach that is theirs is not huge so the only down fall is a lot of hotels crammed into this stop of beach but still plenty of space, the bungalows were standard but there clean - housekeeping quality is very good everyday we came back to a clean room that smelt so nice! The hotel is located on bophut which is extremely close to the airport. You can take a nice walk to fishermens village which is very trendy lots of beachside food and cool shops. Everything you need is also walking distance from the hotel, shops cafes massage bar pizza everything. There is a car park if you rent a car but if not it's very easy to use transport to get around from this area. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone great views and sunsets at a beautiful hotel on a beautiful hotel. One of my favourites.
Spent a blissful time here, accommodation was good, staff pleasant, pool fab, restaurant great, stunning beaches and great location with the Fisher-mans village a fifteen minute walk away. Caters for all comers - families, couples and singletons. Loved our time here.
Planning a family trip at the occasion of a wedding anniversary we chose the Peace Resort following many positive reviews in order to getting a special relaxing holiday. We were informed well in advance that DURING THE LAST DAYS of our 11-days' stay we would have to face some noise due to renovation tasks. After e-mail correspondence with the resort we planned our island excursions for the last days in order to avoid the noise. We were also offered a voucher for a complimentary Thai set dinner and instead of the booked Deluxe Garden View bungalows we were "upgraded" to two terrace rooms with small private pool. Unfortunately the heavy construction works (right in front of our rooms!) had started already from the FIRST day of our stay at the resort! Furthermore the indicated working hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. were exceeded every day (starting at 8 and ending mostly later than 7 !) Although the staff was always very friendly and helpful - they did all they could - and the resort in general was well equipped, the constant disturbance of a construction site did negatively affect our overall experience. We expected to get a relaxing holiday and experienced a noisy one when not staying at the beach. Finally the resort manager Sandra granted us a three nights' compensation for the inconvenience we had to face due to the heavy renovation work. After the end of the renovation period future guests will surely get a really good holiday experience. We were just there at the wrong time. Maybe an earlier complete closing during the maintenance would have caused less dissatisfied customers. Final conclusion: nice place to stay - if there hadn't been heavy renovations while guests staying at the resorts.
Stayed 5 nights feb 2027 . Nice accomadation at a reasonable price ( koh samui not cheap) nice large pool right on the beach . Food and drink prety good but plenty of 7/11 near by if your counting your pennies also your usual food hawkers on the beach. Fishermans village 10 minutes away with plenty for everyone. P.S booked for 6 nights 2018 .DEREK TREVOR Dickson.
