An excellent hotel with amazing friendly staff. We chose the breakfast option to be included with our stay and was absolutely delicious every morning 10/10 credit to the chefs. I would recommend this brilliant hotel to families or couples and not so much to a group of boys (which I was with) or girls due to it being in a very quiet, calm and relaxed environment unless you're looking for that. But still had fun and enjoyed our stay very much making use of all the fantastic facilities provided. Hotel up on the mountains so difficult to get up or down when looking to head out or return back to hotel. Never worried tho as free transport was always provided every so often, taking us and picking us up from the main areas on the island. I would also like to thank the staff for the complimentary champagne and cake on my friends birthday who stayed with us, the surprise was lovely.
We have been staying at Mantra resort before and were really satisfied already then. Hence the re-booking. The resort has since then been renovated and we got a complimentary upgrade with a fantastic view and bottle of sparkling wine to enjoy on the balcony. Staff is very serviceminded always with a smile. Their gym is one of the better ones on the island with new equipment in a spacious nice environment. The breakfast is fantastic. The resort is located a bit off but do offer shuttle bus service frequently. Best is to rent a motorbike which the hotel helps you with. We will definately come back and warmly recommend a stay here.
The most beautiful view, peace and quiet, sweet and extremely service minded personnel and everything in perfect order - that is what you get at Mantra Samui Resort. We stayed for 14 days, and we had a wonderful time and got exactly what we came for - nice warm weather and the a chance just to rest and enjoy ourself. Mantra Resort is very beautiful, but as it is lying up in the hills, there is nothing else nearby. But every hour there is a shuttle bus going down to both Fishermans Village (that you reach in just 10 minutes) and Chaweng, which takes about 30 minutes to reach. We used the shuttle bus several times, and it worked perfectly both going out and getting picked up again. A new thing for us, was an app that Mantra had, where you can communicate with the staff - ordering room service, shuttle bus, room cleaning, asking questions etc. That was great, especially because we could get our room cleaned when it was most convenient for us. Our room had a large balcony, with sun beds, which meant we could be lying in privacy if we didn't wanted to stay by the pool. As we like to work out every day it is important for us, that there is an okay fitness center. It's a big fitness center at Mantra, with lots of different mashines and weights. It is a bit used, but one of the treadmills did get repaired while we were there, and the facilities it far better than what we usually see. We are really gonna miss having our breakfast (which is really good and with a lot to choose from), looking out on the most beautiful view every morning, and getting served by all the sweet staff that soon remembered how we took our coffee every morning. We give our warmest recommendations to Mantra Samui Resort - thank you for a perfect holiday🌞
If you're looking for a quite spot with a stunning view on Samui, the View restaurant is a great choice. Facilities are comfortable and modern and the staff very friendly. The menus are at a reasonable price for simple and tasty Thai food.
Stayed 3 nights at Mantra Samui in the Love Ocean room. The hotel upgraded us and the room was simply amazing. Newly renovated and the views are spectacular. Breakfast was also a highlight and recommend the healthy breakfast and the grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream is a treat! Infinity Pool is the best we've been in and hard to leave. Thank you to Niklas for introducing yourself and making sure our stay was perfect. The staff are so kind and generous. A big thank you and will be back 🙏
We stayed one night at the resort, at the end of our trip. From the coconut water upon arrival and the accommodation app where you can book/request anything the resort offers, to the complementary shuttle to Fisherman's Village and the offer of a boxed breakfast for our early departure, the resort was five-stars. All staff was professional and courteous. We would definitely stay at Mantra again.
We stayed at the Mantra Samui for 4 days, and what a pleasant stay it was! Location wise it was within 5 km's of the fisherman's village, whereby there were free shuttle buses provided to both Fisherman's Village & Central Festival markets every hour of the day! The stepped accomodation was indeed beautiful and while it did involve a little walking and a small flight of stairs, it was indeed worth it! There was a free 24 hour "buggie" service whereby a golf style biggie would take you up the steep ascents at any time of the day or night! The infinity pool looking over the Samui landscape was indeed surreal and the bar staff were incredible! Food at their five star indoor restaurant was superb and fairly reasonably priced for a 5 star resort with an exceptional breakfast buffet every morning (with over 15 per-selected freshly made plates available to order). Would definitely stay again and the hotel staff do give each person individual attention to make it that much more special! Will stay again on our return trip in the near future! Well done Mantra Samui! Regards Pete
we stayed here in mantra for 4 nights for my birthday ( wow ocean room ). mantra is amazing and honestly our favourite hotel out of the 4 hotel that we stayed in during our 2 week trip. the staff was so helpful and friendly! yes the hotel is up a hill but they provide free shuttle bus to the main places like chaweng beach and fisherman village. we will be back! Breakfast was exceptional and the view to start your day. we will be back!
This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. It was our honeymoon and I am so glad we decided to listen to the great trip advisor reviews. Firstly we booked a wow room and got upgraded to a love ocean view room 😍 it was amazing, so clean and spacious with a view to die for! Good points: 1. Super friendly staff who would always greet you with a huge smile and could not do enough for you, I normally like to mention names, but this time it's hard to because I would have to name the entire hotel staff list. 2. The views from the rooms, even the cheapest rooms, the wow rooms have amazing views. 3. The swimming pool is always super clean and has the best view I have ever seen, see attached pics. 4. The food. We only had breakfast and one room service but the food was perfect and I loved that you could order breakfast off the menu too. 5.location - even though it's up a steep hill the guys are literally waiting with a buggy to take you to your room as soon as you step foot onto the hotel grounds. It's only 5 minutes into the fishing village and about 10 min into chaweng and they offer a great free shuttle bus. We hired a bike from the hotel and it was great to get around and it only cost 500 bhat a day (we had the big bike which cost a bit more as we are both over 6ft) Bad points: NONE You wont be disappointed of you book this hotel I can assure you 😎
Upon arrival at Samui Airport we were greeted straight away and taken to the hotel in a spacious air conditioned minibus, given cold towels and water too. When you arrive at Mantra you are immediately in awe of the surroundings and the hotel itself, Check in was very swift and it wasn't long before we were given a ride on one of the golf carts to our room. We stayed in a 'Love Ocean View room', this is exactly what you get! Inside, the room was extremely spacious with a kingsize bed and a small sofa and table. The bathroom was also very spacious with a huge drench shower...you almost didn't want to leave that shower. Overall the room quality had a very high quality finish and it was kept clean each day (The fridge was also stocked with water daily). The Hotel grounds are very well kept, there was some ongoing work from the renovation but this was hardly noticeable. We had a short walk to the pool but it was up a very steep hill, this we didn't mind as it served us well in burning off some calories!! The gym was very good, lots of equipment and all of it brand new. My Girlfriend attended the yoga classes in the mornings and said they were really good, a great way to start your day. The swimming pool as you can see from the photos has the wow factor, and you won't be disappointed with the real view either. Towels are available next to the pool and the sunbeds are high quality, we spent a lot of time leaning off the edge of the infinity pool and taking in the view. The pool bar was a nice addition, great for cooling off in the sun, the cocktails and drinks list was very extensive, the only complaint....we found them a little weak. We ate breakfast in the restaurant each morning, the choice was superb and the quality of the food equalled that. We ate dinner once at the hotel and again, the food was delicious, I don't think there would be many other places to eat on the Island with a view that good. The staff at this Hotel were very professional and couldn't have done more to help us which made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Frod the barman was very entertaining! Although this hotel is set back from the beach and main road, we really didn't find it to be a drawback. A complimentary minibus is laid on each day so it was easy to get down into Bophut in the evening. We also hired a moped from the hotel which gave us the freedom to explore the Island, I would highly recommend this as the island is only small and theres so much to see and do, the hire was really cheap. On a whole we had an amazing Holiday, I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to make their stay special.
