We are so lucky we found this paradise. The rooms were REALLY nice. Everything is so clean, they offer a free one-way ride to neighboring areas at 3 pm. The breakfast is one of the best we've had at a hotel in Thailand (very good!) and included in the price. The price was amazing for the place! WOW! RIGHT on the beach. Perfect swimming beach for kids, very quiet with an amazing restaurant nearby also. We would have stayed longer if we could have-absolutely perfect!
If you are looking for a privacy and beautiful place at the same time, this is spot for you. Private beach access, huge pool, oceans front restaurant, little gym, spa... The staff was outstanding, always smiling and very helpful. Our big bungalow right next to the beach is just gorgeous. The location is little bit far from the rest of the world but doesn't matter because you find everything what you need right here at The Resort. They also offer a scooter or car rentals if you want to take a trip around thw island. Amazing vacation, thank you!
Resort was amazing! Staff even better, they are friendly and will go above and beyond for each and every guest. Really a great relaxing experience. The resort is located a bit of a distance from the hussle and bustle of the cities but they offer a free bus shuttle to 3 of the main shopping/tourist areas in the afternoon. The beach was clean, quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend this place 🙂
Staff very friendly although only couple speak English . We had private pool room & it was fabulous. We had B & B & the breakfast had nice variety of fruit, cereal , breads, eggs & omelettes. Cannot fault service or staff who go that extra mile to help. Taxi are expensive from hotel although still less than £20 to Cheweng. Paradise!
We stayed at Kanok Buri Hotel over Christmas. It was the worst, yet one of he most expensive hotel during our trip through Thailand. The hotel is situated at Lipa Noi beach. The beach is quiet, but sometimes quite dirty (in particular, the areas nobody feels responsible for). The hotel staff only cleaned (if at all) the stretch directly in front of the hotel, but not the area right next to the hotel. The sea does also not look inviting, we had a feeling that there was a lot of trash in the water due to the nearby harbours. The hotel has seen better days, but now it is rather run down. The garden in which the bungalows are situated is quite nice, but there is a small "river" that was probably not cleaned in forever and is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. I never got bitten by mosquitoes as much as I was during our time at Kanok Buri Resort. The first room they gave us smelled very damp, so we asked for another room. However, they forgot to bring out luggage to the new room. The new room was alright, although the bathroom was probably not renovated since the 90ies. The bedding had stains on it, so I asked them to change it. It would have been okay if we had paid 30-40 Euro per night, but we paid 90 Euro per night which is absolutely overpriced for the room we had and the service provided by the hotel. The staff was very friendly, but seemed to be unorganised at best or simply lazy at worst. For example, the staff never wiped the sun beds or the tables at the restaurant terrace if they were wet from the rain (only upon request). They also never put the sun umbrellas next to the sun beds (although I would expect that of a four-star-hotel). My mum, who is nearly 60, and I tried our best for about 10 minutes to carry one of the heavy wooden umbrellas to the sun beds, but gave up eventually only to notice three of the hotel guys watching us instead of helping us. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Nathon, Bophut or Chaweng at 3pm every day. According to the brochure, they also offer massages (1200 Baht for a 60 minutes Thai massage, normally 200-400 Baht), motorbike/car rental as well as private cars with a driver (2500 Baht for up to 5 hours, drive up to the mountains costs 1000 Baht extra). The transfer from/to the airport cost 900 Baht.
We cant thank Kanok Buri and Gift enough for putting on such a great day and making our 3 night stay and wedding at Kanok buri so memorable. Firstly the hotel, it is in a beautiful quiet location everything from the lobby to the rooms we booked were fantastic. Service was exceptional and a real feeling that providing a top quality service was the least they could do. Yes, reviews are right that the hotel is a little more expensive than eating outside, however the food that is served is exceptional and matches the cost. If you did want a cheaper alternative there are two Thai run cafes across the road which cook amaxing local dishes and catered to party of over thirty people. The beach is stunning. After visiting chaweng before this is a complete change of atmosphere and if you are looking for a wedding location Kanok Buri could not be more perfect. Gift....what can I say. We cant stop looking at our photos of that perfect day. You pulled out every stop to deliver exactly what we wanted. From start to finish it was amazing. From flowers to food to photographs to setting you delivered what we dreamt about....thank you so much....and a double thank you for letting us party late in to the night Every single one of our guests had an amazing time and cannot stop talking about it. If you are thinking of getting married in Koh Samui this is the place to do it.
It's the best place to stay as a couple in Koh Samui We had a room with our private swimming pool And There were no noise or children The staff us amaizing !!! Special note to Nook from the frontdesk who helped me so much as i get out of the hospital in koh Samui This place is really the best And i recommand it to everyone who wants quiet And relaxing holidays in Koh Samui
What can I say about this hotel apart from what a beautiful and gorgeous place with absolutely stunning scenes! My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights for our friends' wedding, which was being held on the beach at this hotel and I can honestly say if it were my wedding I would have been over the moon with what the staff catered for on the day. So...let me start with the hotel itself first. A very clean looking hotel (inside and out) with beautiful walkways through the hotel which takes you to the dining area which, of course overlooks the beach...stunning! We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was very spacious, very clean with complimentary teas, coffees, water and shampoo, lotions and gel in the bathroom. Hairdryer in the bathroom too! Our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided! In the room beach mats and beach towels were provided for you to take onto the beach with you. Be sure to return them though as you will be charged if they're not returned. Breakfast was good. A selection of cereals, toast/buns, croissants as well as eggs (fried, scrambled, omlette), boiled ham and chicken sausages as well as fresh fruit. Not forgetting tea, coffee, water and juices. The pool is ok...not ideal if you're planning to swim lengths like Michael Phelps but nice to float around in, however the sea is literally on your door step so you can open swim there! The wifi is good...occasionally drops off and is difficult to reconnect but once connected it's pretty strong around the whole hotel...even to the bar opposite the hotel. Now onto the staff....WOW!!! Their customer service was unbelievable. Like the hotel we stayed in Cambodia they are so friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for you. I've never been in a hotel and witnessed manners like it. Their service was top class! As I said my partner and I came to this hotel for a friends' wedding and the whole evening was just absolutely stunning. The staff were absolutely brilliant from the get go. The set up they provided was stunning and the bride wanted specific type of flowers for her wedding but because the country doesn't grow that type of flower, they imported them in especially for the wedding...service or what?! The staff were efficient and professional when serving the courses in the sit down meal and they always had smiles on their faces. The hotels location is good with several bars and restaurants around the area. The hotel will happily ring to book you a taxi or you can hire out a moped/scooter and take a wander around the island yourself. As I write this I'm currently sat in the dining area looking out at the sea, listening to the waves crashing and feeling emotional that our time here is coming to an end, but the whole experience has been one I will never forget and I thank the hotel and the staff for making our stay one of the most enjoyable stays we've had.
Great hotel that served our purpose well - relaxing on the best beach in Koh Samui. We stayed in the main building and had a balcony with a spa. We were happy with our room and had no problems with amenities, the shower pressure and hot water worked well, as with the spa and air con. I think our room served us well and cant say I am convinced by paying the extra for the bungalow with private pool. The beach is beautiful and quite (we went to Chaweng Beach and couldn't wait to get back!) and the sunset views are amazing. There is plenty of eateries across the street and down the road along with massage and taxi services. The ferry port town of Nathon is only 6km away and a taxi costs around 300 Baht. Nathon also has a full size Tesco's where you can stock up on supplies. This hotel is not 5 stars, if you want that stay down the road instead, it could do with a bit of a revamp but this is reflected in the price, For now I think it could be Lip Noi's hidden gem!
We stayed in this hotel the night before and night of our wedding. As we were getting married at Faraway Villa (right next door) the location was amazing, 3 steps along the beach! But sadly this hotel strikes me a something that may have been amazing a few years ago, but is now very run down. We stayed in a private plunge pool room, our plunge pool was actually on our front open balcony right in front of the main pool and restaurant, so not really private. The room was large and clean, with an incredible massive stone bath in the bathroom and awesome looking shower with lots of different jets. I went to have a bath the night before the wedding and.....no hot water plus not water pressure. I called reception and two people arrived at my room to fix the issue, they left advising me it was fixed. It wasn't and there was no hot water or pressure for the duration of our stay. A number of our wedding guests stayed in this hotel taking up another 4 rooms, all had the same issue with water and some had broken air con. Attempts were made to fix the air con but again the issues remained. I must also say that the food and cocktails in the restaurant was also not good. Again for us the positive was the location and the hotel was abandoned other than our guests so after the wedding everyone was able to walk to the hotel to have a drink by the pool. Being able to do that was amazing but I would not recommend the hotel.
