I wrapped this weekend in my magic thousands attended this the hotel is pertty quiet, lovely staff, everyone is friendly rates are reasonable. there is large awimming pool.i promise i will come back next year again. thank you all
Massive clean rooms with everything you need . Pools is nice and clean . I was quite shocked with how nice the hotel was considering it was £25 a night . The location isn't a problem at all if you hire a scooter/car . If you don't it's still only 200 baht Taxi to Chaweng beach which reception call for you . 7 eleven is about 5 min walk. I highly recommend staying here if you want more for your money
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights when we first got to ko Samui, the hotel itself is beautiful, the pool is large and nice and warm. The lady at the checkout was very friendly and waited for us late at night for us to check in. The room was large and more like an apartment with a balcony and a kitchen. The only problem was there wasn't much of a food option and the closest place for food was a good 10 minute walk. Also chaweng beach was a 200 baht taxi. If you don't mind being a bit away from it all then perfect place to stay!
For about $32 a night my partner and i enjoyed this place so much, we extended our stay there. The rooms are clean and massive each with its own huge balcony (big enough for 2 people to do yoga on confortably) plus a great bathroom. You also have a kitchen with sink and small table with chairs to eat at. The bed was comfy too. The hotel has a huge pool and nice area around it. Plus a basic gym which my partner really appreciated. This place is tucked slightly back from the main road, also we hired scooters from the condotel for 200baht per day. Great value for money here :)
On our initial arrival I wasn't sure what to expect as the hotel is slightly off the beaten track but not massively. The front of the hotel looks average but as we entered the staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was big and very inviting and then we entered our room. It was unbelievable for the money. Big spacious almost apartment style place with a huge balcony area over looking the pool and Chaweng lake. Lots of storage and even a kitchenette area. The overall room was tidy and stylish although there are a few minor finishing details that could be amended but certainly nothing major. I think we paid around £25 a night and one would struggle to find a better hotel for less! The location was great. Close to the Chaweng nightlife but also in a quiet area to relax. It's a thumbs up from us!
First lets talk location - no, it isn't straightforward to find or well known by taxi drivers, fortunately I lived on Samui for a few years and knew exactly where it was. Here's directions: Tell the taxi driver to take you to Chaweng Tesco Lotus, keep going straight through the first set of traffic lights, past the temple entrance on the left and take the next left down the side of a Family Mart that is right opposite a 7-11. You'll go through a Thai residential area before coming to the Condo. The location itself is OK. Near all the good, cheap local restaurants on the ring road, near Tesco Lotus & cinema, the markets and of course Chaweng but far enough away for a quiet relaxing stay. This is a condo - I wouldnt call it a Condotel though which implies hotel like service & amenities - you wont get everything you'd expect. The rooms are big with air con, they have a kitchen & fridge, a large closet, a large balcony, TV, big bathroom with shower and bath tub - there's a good sized pool and free wifi. It's quiet so no noise, you'll most likely have the pool to yourself. I paid 700THB inc breakfast - I challenge you to find a room in Samui for this price, let alone a room with AC, this size, with breakfast and in a reasonable location. It does however come with a few sacrifices - the condo is a little rough around the edges and in much need of some TLC; A lick of paint, a good cleaning, more equipment in the kitchen such as a mircowave & cereal bowls and a clothes hanger to dry wet clothes would go a long way. The TV satellite reception is spotty. Cleaning and fresh sheets/towels is just twice a week - the linen is well used an in need of replacement. A quick trip to 7-11 or Tesco Lotus to buy toiletries, extra utensils, etc will solve some of the problems and it wont set you back much. There are mosquitoes about - it's a tropical island! - but perhaps one or 2 more due to its proximity to the lake and a bit of jungle - so I suggest an electric mosquito killer for a (almost!) bite free stay - 129THB. The breakfast isn't mind-blowing, I would pass on this if I were to stay there again. Remember you're only paying around £2 extra for 2 people a day so don't expect much - It's a typical Thai attempt of looking at a picture and trying to match what they have to it - chicken frankfurter sausage, sliced ham, thin cut belly pork fried to resemble bacon, 2 fried eggs, lightly toasted bread, tea or coffee and fruit. Not bad for £1 each but I'd prefer to pay a little more for something of better quality. Bless them for having a go though. Up to this point, for the price, I would have been inclined to give a 5 rating even with these failings. Sadly what lets them down is their complete lack of understanding of what service is. Don't get me wrong, they are perfectly pleasant people always smiling but it's a make-shift on-the-fly operation. When we first arrived they didn't have our reservation but I showed them on my mobile so they sorted it out and gave us a choice of rooms ground floor or top floor with a view - I went for the view. 10 minutes after unpacking there's a knock at the door - the room's been booked by someone else, so we had to pack up and move. Later that day we were expecting a motorbike to be delivered at 3pm. We waited and waited, eager to explore the island but also understanding Thai time can be somewhat flexible - 5pm came and we managed to find the shop number on the internet to find out where it was. It had in fact been delivered on time, the keys handed over to reception but the lady on reception decided not to tell us? They clean the rooms and change the sheets only twice a week. Bear in mind you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet on the islands, and due to the heat and humidity food and rubbish in bins go bad very quickly and attract insects, so it's a matter of hygiene. The staircase echos very loudly - luckily the condo is quiet and it was coming into low season so the comings and goings of a few people didn't bother us but I can imagine at +70% occupancy you could get woken up at night or early in the morning by people. Overall at Chaweng Lake Condotel you get a very low cost room with lots of space, wifi and a pool but the effort will be on your end to make it a comfortable stay - their current average rating of 4 is deceptive as their low price is essentially buying favourable reviews.
Good location. Located in the heart of Chaweng. Near supermarkets, cafes, bars, beach. Large rooms with terrrasoy. The room has a kitchen with an oven. Nice view of the lake. Friendly staff. I recommend!
We really loved it staying here, the guy on reception is lovely and helpful, the pool is amazing and the apartments are so spacious and clean! It's great having a kitchen and bath. It was such good value for money! It's a little remote but you can walk to the end of the road where there is a 7eleven in 5 mins. Would definitely recommend this place!
Checked in late and was helped by very friendly lady in the car park. Checked in and had bike delivered to hotel. Massive room and bathroom with 2 balconies. If you want party and people then this place not for you. If you want a massive clean room away from any noise then stay here only 5 minutes bike ride to chaweng beach
Got moved here as the hotel we had booked had "overbooked". Nice big rooms with large balconies, rooms are equiped with oven, hob and microwave so ideal if you dont want to eat out all of the time. Comfy bed , TV channels aplenty but as per our experience in other hotels , very repetitive programmes for long term stayers . The pool is big and well kept plenty of sun loungers to go around. The only downside is the location as its quite far from tne main road and even further from town. If you want a quiet location and have some transport its a good option. Cant comment on breakfast as we were room only. Staff are friendly and helpful . Cheaper scooter rental than most places .
