Good hotel right in the middle of CHAWENG BEACH . Pool is OK. Breakfast average. Rooms just OK. Service poor.Tariff is reasonable as compared adjoining properties. Me, No regrets staying for staying 3 nights .

The guest hotel is a beautiful resort with nicely decorated rooms. It's nice, They also have a huge garden with lots of exotic plants - beautiful! Their pool is great, well designed and super clean! - Food: the rooms come with breakfast and dinner and all we can say here it's outstanding! We had one of the best food there and even home.

We were approached at breakfast by staff and told we were to leave the hotel as they were beginning renovations that day. No notice whatsoever! The hotel was extremely run down. It needs an overhaul. But to do it that way was ridiculous. We are apparently going to be refunded the remaining 6 days....i really hope so.

The old hotel needs a big make over but we no what to expect, the staff are great the beach is great lovely swimming pool, meals are good the bar is not stocked very well running out of Wine, water, and top shelve stuff only one staff member on after 4pm to look after bar and meals run off his feet. but does it with a smile. Stayed for 18 nights will be back.

Had a 6 nights stay in July where we for 2 days had no water. Had arranged to receive a breakfast-box a an early check-out, but nothing was prepared/ready. So stay away! Koh Samui was very lovely, so we will back but NOT at Beachcomber.

We just clocked up our 12th stay at Beachcomber Hotel and didn’t regret it. As usual we bring along friends that get rooms also, 1 lot that have been before and another lot that was their first trip to Thailand. For us it's our home away from home, there are no surprises.. we know it's an old hotel but we also know that for the price it fills our needs. Great part of the beach to swim and the aqua park is right next door which kids young and old enjoy, the pool was good and offers plenty of shade and loungers. The staff are friendly and speak perfectly adequate English, cleaning staff are very flexible and thorough. Breakfast was ok also, especially the Thai dishes, there is an egg station. We booked the suite room upstairs for the second year running and this has two bathrooms, bedroom, large lounge area which could be set up to sleep more and it has a large deck overlooking the pool. This room was good for us as we were socialising with 4 other friends in nearby rooms. It would be good for families. The massage huts on the beach were doing a roaring trade and lovely girls. The beachcomber gets many returning guests that are not after anything flashy, they just want a good sized room, nice beach, friendly staff etc. We did have an issue with our air cond and this is not the first time, they are old and really do need to be upgraded, however we were provided with a fan by the friendly boy on reception late at night. The TV's and stations are not great as our friends commented but we never turn ours on. There seems to be an issue with the key cards on occasions but this is promptly fixed. If you get a room near the beach end you will hear very little. Rose is the manager there and has been there for many years and is very good and seeing everything is ok. We would love to see some $ spent on the place but then we would end up paying more for something that does the job well. Thanks again to the staff for making our holiday happy and we will see you sooner than you will expect, look out for our email to discuss a unexpected trip back!

I read many reviews before booking here. Many said don't stay but we booked anyway. We spoke at length to Rose who is desk manager & negotiated an excellent price for a beach bungalow. Yes, the bathroom is tired & could do with a refurb but it's cleaned daily but the lovely team who always made sure our sheets & towels were changed each day. Always a smile & a kind word. Breakfast is standard fare but tasty. The bungalow right on the beach is the place to be, views out to sea are amazing. Have loved every minute & will be back as soon as we can for another super visit. The staff make this place a great experience, don't read the reviews & go elsewhere, I would rather stay in a tired hotel with polite staff than an upmarket rip off. Cheap but fun😊

It is "Chaweng beachcomber hotel" So horrible to stay here , old bed and bad smell , old aircondition,no good service, old and no good bathroom ,dirty around, horrible breakfast ... I am so "SICK" with this hotel. It is deluxe room of this hotel... See how can be "deluxe" .. I am so sad and sick ... PS: checking before booking hotel... Don't do believe from photos what you see... Then you will get sick same us

Very nice room with all comfort, even beach towels available. If the sea is too wild, the pool will help cool down. A few minutes walk from the restaurants, bars and shops. I recommend if you like it a bit quite.

Me and my friends where there for about 4 days, room was clean all the time, nice ladies and great service. they will help you find group attractions but be aware that it could be pricier than the internet but easier...
