My girlfriend and i looked for accommodation close to the beach, not only was accommodation in a perfect spot all employees could not do enough to make it a pleasurable and comfortable experience, thanks!

This is a great resort for people of a certain age who are travelling by themselves The staff are very friendly and helpful but do not introud upon your space Breakfast can get repetive but good quality and fresh Pools are very clean and safe Room service can get delivered quickly even if thy have to venture through tropical storms I have been to chaba cabana three times in the last year and have just booked for my 60th birthday next year GO TO CHABA

We stayed at the Chaba Cabana early September for almost two weeks and whilst there are negatives there are also many positives. We had decided to upgrade, when booking, to a villa – which is a rather grand description of what you get which is a semi -detached hotel room on the ground. It has a “balcony” - again rather a grand description but there are no sea views unless you book one of the two luxury villas. So you are looking out on the neighbours over the way and the path to the beach/pool. It has adjoining doors with next door. If like us you view a hotel room as little more than somewhere to lay your head you should be ok. However. There are a few points to consider. There is a wardrobe but storage for your smalls and stuff is severely limited - no drawers. So you have to live out of your suitcases. The air conditioning is rather noisy if you are a light sleeper. The bathroom – agreed it is a bit dated - but the shower works – so im good! We were lucky in that we only had a neighbour for two nights – but the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. The beach and pool were about 20 yards from us - cant beat that! There are three sets of stairs that lead on to the beach, one that is currently a bit wonky is not used for safety reasons but that would make 4 – how many do you need in a 50 yard frontage?? The beach is lovely as is the sea crystal clear and like walking into a bath – it doesn’t seem to get deeper than 3ft for over 200 yards out – lovely. Breakfast - im not a breakfast person so a coffee and juice, perhaps toast usually does – I prefer lunch and dinner. There is fruit and cold meats, an egg station and a few hot containers with the usual contents. The staff greet with a smile always and strive to help wherever possible. Our air con bust and within ten minutes a bloke had come out and fixed it. We stocked our mini bar with beer and wine from the shops - no issues!!! The wi fi seemed to work – even when sitting by the pool – so no probs there. As mentioned you are about 10- 15 minutes from the main town, but if you walk along the beach there are 4 beach front places where you can have a drink to break up the journey and then cut through their hotels to miss out the hill at the Chaba. Repeat on the way home. You can get a taxi but at 200 - 300 each way that equates to a couple of beers each time so why bother - unless you are bad on our feet - walk.Don’t expect late nights here as it shuts up about 10 - 10.30. All in all it was a nice relaxing holiday, id far rather I stayed here than one of the hotels down towards the town.

Hotel was amazing , clean and tidy , hotel pool was clean and welcoming the staff was so friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble especially a couple of restraunt staff On and Som mad the trips to breakfast very pleasant each day and was very accommodating for the evening meals as well. Hotel is at end of beach away from the busy night life but was only 15 minutes walk and it was nice to leave the night life at the end of the evening and return to the quieter end . Beach was clean and tidy my only down side was it was not as cheep as expected and bar drinks was on par with the Uk , but would I do it all again ,yes tomorrow if I could afford it and yes I would go back to the same hotel Chaba Cabana beach resort excellent trip .

There is a hotel shuttle which costs 300baht one way for a trip less than 10 minutes. It is expensive and next time I would take a taxi. Took me by surprise we had to pay 2000 baht bond on checking in. Breakfast is average, not a great selection. There is the usual station where you choose how you would like eggs made. The upside is that the beach is seconds from your room. Beware hiring a car from hotel reception. I questioned the two options: hand in passport or pay 5000baht bond. Because I went to walk away she cancelled the bond and I got to keep my passport.

Another great holiday courtesy of the team at Chaba. As mentioned in some other reviews the Wifi was a little hit and miss but the staff , surroundings and general feeling of the place is just beautiful. Cant wait to come back with the littlies next year !!!

My husband and I stay here for 2 weeks at the end of May. This was our 4th visit and we had a fab time. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good with a gorgeous view from the restaurant. We feel that this hotel is in the perfect location with plenty of restaurant close by and walking distance to the town or more lively beach area. If walking is a problem you can easily get a taxi or tuk tuk into town. We did eat in the hotel restaurant on 2 occasions the food and service was very good. Look forward to returning again in the future

Stayed recently with 2 small children and other family members. The staff were so friendly and helpful with our children. The location is great, right on the beach. Gorgeous white sand and blue sea. The pool area was nice and the pool bar had lovely cocktails and food, we spent a lot of time there. The small pool was perfect for the kids and you can see on to the beach from your sun lounger. Our room was kept very clean by the maid. Reception were always helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a fabulous holiday.

The rooms are clean and quite up to date. WiFi is a little patchy but pretty good for Samui. Tour operator / motorbike rental lady was lovely. Got us a great trip to Aumthong National Marine Park. We really enjoyed ourselves, having drinks at the pool bar. Thanks a lot.

A very nice resort, pleasant staff always ready to assist. We did find it was cheaper eating at different beach front locations but that is to be expected, however the dining area was always busy so the meals must have been good. Only downside we found was that the dividing wall between the rooms was very thin so you could hear your neighbor talking.
