We just returned from our 12 stay at Banana Resort and this is really the best. The staff is like a Big family so it feels like our secound home. The Beach is clean and the food is great to at Baitong resturant. I truelly believe that the service here comes from the heart and i recommend a stay to see for yourselves, take Care and see you soon 🙏

I booked this hotel because of the traditional thai rooms with modern amenities. This resort was beautiful! Staff here are very nice and accommodating. Our room included breakfast every morning which was incredibly good. The only annoying thing was the little bugs on the table that would make their way on your plate but I guess it's because it was an open air restaurant. The pool area was small but very inviting. Throughout the day pool staff will come by with complementary snacks which was nice. The resort is on the quieter side so if your looking for a party hotel you should make your way to the ark bar. But if your looking to relax then this is a place for you. I definitely felt spoiled here at Banana Fan Sea. The rooms were gorgeous with vaulted ceilings and thai decor. The bathroom needs a bit updating though. The beach turns into a romantic dinner at night and it was also very delicious. The beach on this property was clean and pristine. Highly recommended. Would stay here again.

Family of 6 stayed at the Banana Fan Resort in October. One room was a king for my father. My family (3 kids) had the connecting double - one king connected to a double room. The hotel had set up a third bed in the double room for our third kid. Zero complaints on the room and perfect for families needing space. Beach was amazing. Pool was relaxing. Walking distance to great Chaweng resturants. Only complaint would be the drink at the pool were a little weak (mixed drinks). Hotel could afford to have a top shelf section for guests who will pay. But when happy hour drinks, tip the shot glass full and over. Otherwise a perfect stay!!!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Banana Fan Resort. The location is far enough away from the craziness of town and I think it has the best part of the beach. We stayed in rooms 328 and 329 which has in interconnecting living space and a private pool on the beachfront. It was perfect for my ex, myself and two kids. We spent 6 nights in total and were looked after so well by everyone at the resort. Will be back.

Like many other people I chose this hotel for a 9 stay for my wife and me because of the many positive reviews, which are well earned. I spent number of months weighing up a small number of hotels on Chewang Beach for our holiday and finally chose the Banana Fan Sea Resort. Before I comment on the positives there are a couple of negatives (or possible negatives which I would like to highlight). The hotel and its bungalows are lovely but the bungalows are in need of some updating as the rooms are staring to show their age. The lighting inside is very poor with only one light in the ceiling of the bedroom, as well as the bedside lamps. This made it very difficult when my wife was getting ready to go out for dinner in the evening. Though I booked a driver from the hotel to meet us on our arrival at the airport I had to call the hotel to ask where he was, after we had waited at the meeting point and most other passengers from our flight had left. Once he arrived he was a very friendly chap but he was late. Probably the most irritating point is that the key fob on your room key like most hotels controls the power to your room and as the hotel is focussed on the environment when you are not in the room there is no AC so you return after a day out to a swaealtering room and any phones etc are not charging. After saying that the staff were all very good and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The check in was quick witha welcome drink and a nice touch from the hotel, welcoming all the day's new arrivals on the hotel notice board! We were welcomed to the room by a member of staff who showed us where everything was. The bungalows are surrounded by vegetation but the beach is also a few steps away. Breakfast in the morning was very good sitting on the veranda of the restaurant watching the ocean. The breakfast is a full selection of western and Thai options including an egg, pancakes and waffle station and of course much fresh fruit. I particularly enjoyed the eggs benedict and cappuccino at breakfast. There are plenty of sun beds both by the pool and on the beach for hotel guests and which are monitored by the hotel staff. During the day the hotel has 2 happy hours (12-3pm and 5-7pmh, also as well as the main menu there are additional cheap snacks available. The hotel offers daily activities which are briefed through a daily newsletter which is on the breakfast table. My wife and I generally like to do our own thing but we did go on the organised bicycle trip to visit the 'Big Buddah' which was really good. The hotel is well placed to me private enough if that is what you want or in less than 10 minutes you can be in the middle of Chewang with bars with music and sports bars but without intruding on the privacy of the hotel. Each evening the rooms are given a turndown service which is a nice touch. Overall a lovely hotel managed and staffed by a lovely team and we would definitely consider returning.

We just finished a 6 night stay after 2 weeks touring northern Thailand. We chose this resort because of its location and reviews. And we were not disappointed. White sand and clear water beach right at your door. The resort restaurant overlooks the beach and there is Kevin Bar on the edge of the sand. Deck chairs align the back of the beach. Get in the early with a towel to reserve one. The friendly security guard at the northern end of the resort will assist and make sure no one takes your chair while you are at breakfast or still getting ready in your room. He even makes the towel like a bed sheet, nicely tucked in. The security meant we felt secure in leaving our things on the chair while we swam. Through our stay we were always made welcome with all staff from reception, Bar, restaurant and maintenance smiling and wishing us well. It was great to see resort staff having fun while working. It adds to the friendly atmosphere. Our room was located just off reception (#503). This was an upgrade with a balcony as we booked the cheapest room with no balcony. We didn't use the balcony as we were in full view of reception and other guests. But that didn't matter as we spent most of our time on the beach when in the resort. The room was good size and clean. The bed was also comfortable. It was also quiet even though the road was nearby with the Muay Thai loud trucks going past regularly. Breakfast was good with fresh cooked eggs in many styles. There was also real bacon and grilled tomatoes for all us Aussies. The restaurant was also good for snacks or lunch on the beach chairs. And the Kevin Bar brought your drinks to you as well. Dinner at the restaurant was also nice. The grounds and buildings are all well maintained with flower petals of different colour combinations in the large pots changed daily. Nice touch of colour. The reception area is also large and has a lovely breeze to keep it cool. On the beach are hawkers for blow up floaties, table cloths, clothing, "ice cream, I scream" being sold. But they don't harass and some even have a joke with you if you're polite in jection. There is also the lovely man who is ever present every day selling corn and fruit. He is joined by a lady selling fresh cooked chicken, fish etc on sticks. Always smiling. There are photographs in reception of people that visit the resort year after year. And now having stayed here, I can see why. Thank you (Kob Khun Krub).

We had a wonderful time at The Banana Fan Sea Resort. From the road it doesn't look like much but step inside and it is lovely. It has single story bungalows set amongst banana plants. A short walk along the hotel path, past the pool, and you are on Chaweng Beach which is very vibrant. Luckily it is far enough away from the hotels with loud music pumping out! You have the choice of being on a lounger on the beach or away from the hustle on a lounger next to the pool but still with a view of the sea. The pool is small but adequate. The staff are lovely and the General Manager seemed to care for the hotel and the guests. They have an activity each day that the kids (and adults!) can join in. Bill was very kind and patient with the kids and it was a great way to give our daughter a break from the sun and water. The food at the restaurant was ok, could be better for the prices. The Banana Fan is a short taxi ride away from Central Chaweng but there are other eating options close to the hotel. We had a great time at this property and didn't want to leave.

Banana Fan Sea is an oasis on the very popular 7km of Chaweng Beach but away from the noisy area of the Ark Bar. We had individual 1 double bedroom villa with ensuite & private balcony sat in beautiful grounds. There is plenty of flora, trees with natural beauty providing shade. The hotel and restaurant overlooks the beach with fine white sand & blue sea. To the left the sea and beach get narrow with a man made barrier and to the right it is deeper with the speedboat being moored. Plenty of sightseeing and the usual seasports to do.

My family and I stayed at this hotel from 28th August - 8th September 2017, we have stayed at many hotels in Thailand and elsewhere and none of them compare to Banana Fan, this is mainly due to the staff from the General Manager Art who is absolutely fantastic, the front of house team, the whole restaurant team and even the cleaners, without exception each member of staff is kind, polite, friendly and welcoming - many of the other guests had stayed at the hotel several times before and we can see why! The grounds and the rooms are clean, tidy nicely decorated and the resort as a whole is clean and well maintained, the food is also very good, more expensive than the surrounding restaurants but worth the extra money at night they lay the beach for meals and have entertainment and it makes for a beautiful setting would recommend for families, couples, loan travellers - basically everyone. We took our 20 month old son and before we went I was nervous at how he would handle so much travelling, the heat etc The staff treated him so well that he fell in love with each and everyone of them and so did we. The minute we got back we put holiday requests in for next year to get over the holiday blues and we will most definitely be returning to the Banana Fan

This hotel is a gem in the crowded but joyful Chaweng beach. Banana Fan is beautiful, quiet ,peaceful and the facilities are very well maintained. Location is perfect - close to the center but still quiet! Breakfast is great with all the choices and the sea view is truly amazing. My family had wonderful time and we really hope to come back.
