Very nice central location in the middle of the island, friendly, smiley and helpful stuff, nice room compared to price, great swimming pool, also the have good breakfast and good food for room service. Will go back for sure
I stayed at this hotel with 5 friends and my boyfriend for 6 nights. We liked the pool area a lot and the rooms are lovely, modern and nicely decorated. The hotel is massively let down by the poor location and staff. The hotel is about a 10 min drive from any decent restaurants or bars/clubs. We rented mopeds for a couple of days which is a much better way of getting around. Although if you don't feel confident driving a moped you will be stuck paying 300/400 baht for a taxi every time you want to go somewhere. The staff really let this hotel down. None of them spoke a word of English. Which confused me as the hotel offered a great room service menu of which you couldn't order over the phone and had to go to reception to point at the menu, which the receptionist still couldn't understand. The organisation of the hotel didn't make much sense at all since all menus and notices were in English but none of the staff could speak it. I do believe that if you go to another country you should try to speak the basic language, however I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff didn't speak any English so this made the stay very difficult for us.
We planned to stay here for 4 nights but decided to check out and move to a different hotel after the first night. The location of the hotel was horrendous there was nothing nearby to even have a drink on the night. To get to the main area it was a 300/400THB taxi ride each way and on a day time they offered a shuttle service which actually only takes you one way there is no return shuttle you have to make your own way back which is another 300/400THB journey. We decided the cost of taxis we would end up spending more than a new hotel near the centre and the beach. The rooms were not really like the pictures either very basic and the shower was awful, it was basically dribbling out of the head. The wifi in the hotel is the worst I've ever used well i didn't really use it as it didn't work only to book a new hotel online. We were constantly woken up through the night by dogs on the street of the hotel. The staff on the desk were not very helpful and were difficult to communicate with. The pool looked the best it about the hotel even though we never used it. I would definitely advise not to stay here find something near Chaeweng beach.
To be fair to these guys I've read the previous reviews and they don't seem good ,but I came here after staying somewhere dreadful for much more money a night, for 20 quid a night I got 2 large rooms, a front room with corner sofa, LED TV open plan kitchenette with all features. Then the second room was a massive bedroom with cupboards a king bed and ensuite shower. As long as you get a moped you will be fine with the location because chasing is 5 mins away through the back roads , we got one for £20 a week which was fine. this location is silent at night so you get a good sleep too which was a bonus for us as some beach resorts have people causing a riot till the early hours .
Location is terrible and you need to get taxi or hire a scooter to get around. The hotel will offer u a taxi to town for 300b. Its more expensive than a normal taxi.. staff are rude and very unhelpful. Cleaners are friendly n do a good job but there was a moody old man on reception that is why you would never return..
Suitable for family. Room is quite fine. But staffs were not friendly and helpful. Very bad attitude. 4 of us included 2 babies, we were asking for late check out, we understood hotel was quite full, however the morning staff was giving attitude to my husband, said "NO". After that safety box was locked and cant opened it, we were asking for help, and the staff's answer was too busy and bye. If you wanna enjoy your holiday, better not to stay in this hotel, the staffs will ruin your holiday. Never will stay here again.
Beautiful resort in bad position with a fantastic pool. But the staff is a complete catastrophe. We asked for transfer from the airport - nobody answered, nobody came. We mentioned it while our check in and reaped a shrug. Our room had a defect door lock - in first instance the staff accused us to act like fools. After finding out that it was REALLY defect we neither heard words of excuse nor got any help with our luggage. We got another room, which wasn't prepared: dust allover the floor and the terrace, smelly and the chairs were damaged. All we've heard from the staff was offers for taxi, nothing else. Although Samui is an expensive island, their taxi prices are even overpriced. The position of the hotel is problematic too: Around there's nothing but a sex tourism bar and a lousy restaurant. These 2 points are for the pool, the calm guests and the cleaners, who approved our room the next day.
(+) 1) Rooms are large 2) Location is great ( If you have your own transport) 3) Nice kitchen, full size refrigerator (-) 1) The rooms lack of luxury feeling 2) The service is very spotty. Front desk had one person working not well trained, not attentive.
the hotel is average but staff are not helpfull at all , we tried to call them serveral time and did not respond .... which really annoyed ..... the room is clean and good looking over the swimming pool the breakfast is little bit only and limited choices
We were just staying the night as we came in on a late flight and transferring to a villa in Bang Po. Happy with the collection from the airport and the rooms were nice and spacious. It all turned horrible for us when we returned from breakfast to realise that one of the childrens iPad was missing which made us suspicious and then checking our money that we had only exchanged 12 hrs beforehand was short by half. We hadn't even had the opportunity to spend any. The iPad was located in one of the kids backpacks and the money was in a pouch in my backpack in another room, we were only away from the room for an hour tops. This is when they struck as the bags were in our presence the entire time apart from breakfast. I went to see the man at the front desk who had a feeble attempt to look into the issue, he brought out a unit to check access to the room but conveniently the batteries were depleted and the new ones that were fetched didn't work either. I wasn't allowed to see CCTV footage but I was told that there wasn't any sign of people entering the room. I started to feel that I was being done over. I was then offered to go and make a police report to which I was driven to the police station where I got a long wait and a very uninterested police force take a statement and charged me money for it. The most insulting part was the police officer that finalised my report by laughing and suggesting that maybe a ladyboy took it. To finish off when I asked to have a taxi called to take us to our next destination the person who turned up had a questionable van with bright red plush leather and no meter. I have later found out that I can get around Ko Samui relatively cheaply but this character wanted to charge 700 BHT which is two to three times what it should have cost. And he didn't even take us to our villa, he dropped us off at the bottom of the hill and my wife and I had to drag our luggage up the hill with 2 kids in tow. Thanks mate you're a legend!! So my first experience of Ko Samui was one of being treated poorly and ripped off and it all started with staying at Citin Urbana. I DO NOT recommend staying at this establishment. Go elsewhere!!! To the management of this hotel, your staff stole from me and my family therefore I'm not interested in anything you have to say and I will NEVER return.
