Fantastic location, white sandy beach close to all the shops walking distance to everything Hotel staff are fantastic nothing is a bother from reception staff to cleaners and pool area made us feel very welcome, and thank you to the massage ladies that are on the beach, the rooms where cleaned daily and a good job the only thing that I could say I wasn,t really keen on and that was breakfast it wasn,t horrible you will find something to eat, there is a wide variety to choose from it was just ok
Hotel staffs were kind, helpful and accomodating. Our room was upgraded due to availability. It was my husband's birthday and the kind staffs helped in planning a surprise, romantic birthday celebration by the beach. Will definately return. Thumbs up! and keep up the good work!
Perfect location, amazing beach... nice pool area.. breakfast was hopeless. Two of my mates got sick (they did eat grey coloured bacon) I ate at the restaurant once ... very below par. Location is best let about this place... rooms are not bad.
Stayed here last year for over new year and we loved it. If you like to be right in the centre of everything then this hotel is perfect. A huge strip full of shops, resturants and bars are at the front of the resort and at the back is the gorgeous white sand chaweng beach. The rooms are nice and modern with a good shower, fridge and tv and cleaned daily. The fridge is always stocked up with many drinks and snacks which are very cheap. The hotel pool is right next to the beach and is beautiful. I enjoy breakfast which was a buffet which included eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, pancakes and fresh made omlettes and cereal, the breakfast area is outside facing the beach and is amazing watching the sun rise in the morning while enjoying breakfast this was my favourite part. On new years eve although we was going to the full moon party the hotel was having its own party and we joined in some games and won some prizes and had a drink and bite to eat. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Although the resort is in a busy area the small bungalows are secluded and very peaceful. Also the ark bar beach club is only next door which is very lively and popular. I could not fault this hotel and enjoyed my time here it is also very reasonably priced. Koh samui is my favourite part of thailand there is so much to do and everyone is so friendly and it is so beautiful.
Stayed at Al's Resort for 4 nights in the Deluxe rooms, with breakfast. Was expecting it to be a hell hole from the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. However, there are a lot of bad points. The room is modern and looks great. However the beds are rock hard and very squeaky (twin room). The water pressure is horrendous so having a shower is like standing out in the rain. Useless really. Only one pillow provided but the extra pillows provided are rock solid. Breakfast was a let down. Only western options are eggs and sausages. Everything else is catered towards the Asian market. We didn't mind too much but as we paid a more expensive rate for it, it was disappointing. The wifi is terrible. Very slow and logs out all the time. A plus side is that the location is great. Right in the middle of everything and easy to reach Chaweng Main Street. We've travelled across Thailand and we splashed out on this hotel as we wanted a break. Not worth it in our opinion. We've stayed in some amazing places for almost half the price!
We stayed at Als for 4 nights. The 'resort' is in a great location and has easy access to the beach, shops and restaurants etc. Beautiful beach and has a basic pool with basic amenities. This hotel was our most expensive stay in Thailand and wasnt the best place we had stayed in. However it is on the beach so the price is reflected. We had our own little room with a seating area outside in the new wing. The breakfast was basic, just like the resort itself, little variation and mostly asian food. Rooms were clean and tidy (under the beds were not) has tv, air con and small shower room/toilet. Resort is peaceful. Lovely security man who made us smile everyday.
Just finished my stay here and I was disappointed with the stay. The positives are that it's in a brilliant location and the hotel staff where friendly and welcoming. The room was basic and the hot water for the shower wasn't working at all. There is a back 'yard' to this room which was pointless and dirty. Selection for breakfast was ok and the croissants where tasty and fresh. Brilliant view of the beach and coast from the outdoor breakfast table. Pool was also good.
Have been here 3 days so far and still have 4 to go, devastated to say the least. Had to move rooms because the aircon wasn't working which is understandable then when we got to the new room same again and someone has been out twice to "fix" it, again no change! Mine and my partners legs are covered in bites only to our acknowledgement of bed bites. Very disappointing with the money we paid to be here we were here 2 years ago and stayed in panupong which is a 5 minute walk away no pool or breakfast but was clean at £6 per person per night and would much rather have stayed there again! All photos we have seen of Al's resort seem to have been taken many years ago.
When we checked in we went for the cheapest room. The room is adequately sized but it doesnt have a wall on one side. It has a large sliding door through which you enter the room, hence one entire wall is transparent glass. The have curtains to aide privacy but if your looking for a regular room this may not be for you. The room we had had a crappy AC and with the Thailand heat it wasn't acceptable. Anyways since we were staying for almost a week, we requested for their villa deluxe room. This was a superb room. Large with a nice small sitting area outside the room as well. The resort offers breakfast which is decent. It has direct beach access. The BEST part of this resort is the location. You are bang in between everything! Need to go to the beach no problem. Need to go to ark bar no problem. The mall? No problem. Restaurants? No problem. What more can you ask for!
In a great location! In the middle of town and on the beach..rooms are nice and clean. Pool is lovelly and as i mentioned right on the beach. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Would highly reccomend this hotel. Will definitly stay here if im back.
