I Stayed 1 night for busines purpose, Perfect location, service, decoration, ambiance, local& international cuisine, tasty foods .. Certainly I recommend for that province trips. You will be so comfort and so glad..
The hotel is about 20km from the city centre, so it's not convienent if you need to go to city centre. One shopping centre is 10 minutes away, can find some restaurants there; besides the hotel, there is a very big park, so some of the rooms have nice park view. The hotel rooms are nice, clean, comfortable.
I have told them time and time again they need to take care of maintenance of the rooms As a platinum member i don't not see any improvement with them The only reason why I go back is that there aren't many true 5 star hotels in guiyang The exec lounge team does their very best every time I stay but I believe the issue is with management The chinese restaurant in the hotel service is spotty , sometimes good and sometimes bad , as with the food The last time I was there , there was only 1 table on the restaurant and we mentioned we were in a rush , the food took over an hour to all come out Again I don't understand why Also the food quality varies considerably from each time I east , sometimes very good and sometimes so so I hope they deal with this too For the rooms the carpets are truly disgusting and some rooms need to be seriously changed, will take pictures if I have issues my next stay But hotel is located by the city GOVT and in the business district , and there is a very nice park next to the hotel if u like to jog in the morning The pool is ok and gym ok too functional
Very large and clean room, got upgraded to executive suites and facilities as we are gold member. Had problem with the air conditioning, they had the heating on because of “ cold season “ and cannot change back to cold even though the temperature was around 26 degree Celsius during our stays.Otherwise the facilities are good. The staffs are very friendly : Duke and Levi ( Navigator), Gordon Zhu and Lawrence of the front desk, Angel Liang and her staffs of the Executive Lounge, they are all exceptional.
My sister and I were in town for a tennis tournament and we stayed at the Renaissance Guiyang for 7 nights. The staff is incredible, very outgoing and they even helped us to exchange $ for Yuan to pay for the taxi. The attendants were incredible at the club level as well, They taught us how to play Dou Dizhu and helped us with any of our needs. I can't imagine there being a better hotel in Guiyang! I would recommend it to anyone who was heading to this region of China! -William Albanese
The Renaissance Guiyang is brand new and offers upmarket accommodation in Guiyang new city. The common areas are stylish and the Club Floor rooms are spacious and luxurious. The Club Room on the 23rd floor have beautiful views and offer a generous happy hour drinks and light meals.
I stayed in this hotel for three nights. My first impression the hotel was huge and looks elegant. When I entered the room, it looks modern and the bed was comfortable. Nearby there is park that is nice for walking around. But it's far from restaurants and shops. It took half an hour to go to nearby mall. Overall it was worthwhile staying there.
I stay 2 nights here . Very late checkin at midnight n the counter staff was very efficient . Breakfast - a wide variety of local cuisine and western is available . Room is good n comfortable as expected . Nice pair of slippers . Wifi connection is good . It's the second time I stayed in this hotel . The only glitch experienced this time is that it takes an awfully Long time ( 15 -20 minutes in total ) for the elevators to bring me down to ground level . That is despite 4 lifts - supposedly in operation . On one instance , the lift that I was in stopped at nearly every floor .
Big rooms, very clean, personnel efficient and kind, modern style and intercontinental breakfast: these are only some reasons why you should chose this hotel. Nice choice with a good ratio quality/price.
Just finished spending 5 days/nights over a 1 week period. It falls into the 5 star category for sure, and is very pleasant for all the following reasons: First, you can get very reasonable prices online and/or by calling and speaking to a Manager. I do recommend spending a little extra to get Executive Lounge access. The Lounge has a very relaxing view at the top as well as snacks, refreshments and most of all, dinner and a full array of liquors if you like to drink. The dinner is served at 5:30pm each night. Small buffet-style consisting of 4-6 dishes and plenty of fruits, desserts and refreshments. The rooms are all great with plenty of direct and indirect lighting, modern clean bathrooms and your own heat & A/C controls. Hot water comes almost instantly. You can also get a clothes dryer rack if you'd like to wash your own clothes. The sheets and pillows are also tops. Damn comfortable bedding as most top Hotels are now. The Gym, Pool & facilities are tops. Gym has all new equipment though could use a few more workout machines. I will say however that they keep their pool at 27 C, which is 80F. That's a bit too cold and uncomfortable for me & I swim 5 days / week. I asked the attendants if they can warm it up to 28 or 29 and they did the next two days. Though it went back down on the 4th and 5th day. Also, the sauna had some pointy nails/tacks sticking up from an area in the center. I pointed it out to a couple of employees but it wasn't fixed while I was there. The water in the shower area didn't get hot until around a full minute. Though hot water in the rooms was fine. The sauna and steam room are great overall and large enough for around a dozen people! That's large for a sauna and steam room. They also get really HOT which is great. Allow 15 minutes for the steam room to get really hot. English was not spoken by most of the staff but most of the front lobby folks speak adequately. The customer service Manager, "Bella" is great and Jeffrey Yuan is also very helpful. Both speak English. All the staff get an A+ for effort and hospitality! I would have liked a slightly warmer pool, but can't in good conscience (not) give 5 stars overall just for that. I also thoroughly checked out the Intercontinental just a few kilometers away. While it too was nice, It was considerably more money and the facilities were absolutely not as good. The Renaissance wins in Guiyang as the best 5 star value in my book! Howard S.
