Stayed here for six nights on floor 29, in one of the executive suites. It was the best hotel I have every stayed in. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff (Nothing was too much for William: thank you) and the food was 1st class. The breakfast was a banquet! Location was good too with everything within a 15 minute taxi ride away. Totally recommended.
Location Right in the centre of Guiyang. From airport it takes around 20minutes by car or 12km. On road outside are local shops and banks. Room Room on 20th floor is quite spacious but unusual room for pullmans. Suffering from wear and tear and grubbiness around edges of room. There is a large king size bed, comfortable with bed side tables either side that include lamps, telephone and alarm clock with old style Apple connection. Unplugging lamps allows plug sockets built into bed frame in which are two pin. There is a nice comfortable reclinable chair with a small table. Large double windows with a nice view of the city. Facing the bed is a large unit with desk & lamp, large TV (with 70 channels including BBC, CNN and NHK) and luggage rack. There is also a kettle and some hot drink items. Large wardrobes with Pullman amenities such as yoga mat, safe, slippers etc. The bathroom is most unusual with an open plan set up with two frosted rooms, one with toilet and one with a separate unusual square bath and shower. This has a glass window into room but electronic blinds come down if you wish. In the middle is the sink plus a TV for I guess watching if you are brushing your teeth but poorly positioned to actually see, you are not able to watch from bath. Amenities are all mini bottle Co Bigelow. There is digital Ac unit as well & black out drapes. Overall the room is spacious and interesting but chipped desks and stains on walls & floor makes it not feel up to Pullman standard of cleanliness. Facilities The hotel offers free WIFI that multiple devices can be connected to and also VPN's work. A connectivity lounge or business centre is on ground floor. Catering includes a buffet restaurant and another one. Food is ok at buffet. Leisure facilties include a large olympic size indoor pool, good for lengths. A modern gym, hair salon and a spa. There is also a garden you can walk around which is quite nice outside of buffet restaurant. On the ground floor are some Chinese shops and ATM machines. Staff Staff are ok but don't speak much English. Check-in wasn't exactly warm and welcoming and not really the expectation of an international hotel like the pullmans. Overall a hotel well located if you need to be in Guiyang, however probably the most worn out Pullmans I have ever stayed at. In need of a clean. Would stay elsewhere if came again.
The location of the hotel is good. Starbucks at the corner of the hotel. Room is good but a little small. Staffs in the restaurant can only understand water, spoon, fork, yes, no or other basic words. Other than that, they didn't understand. We had hard timr putting the bill the the room as they said the food bill was above the limit that you put guarantee when check-in. Been travelling all over the world but this is the first time i experienced this. Tried to pay with cc, the restaurant only accept Unionpay card not international. Staff had to go down to reception to ask for the edc machine. Finally it worked. Shower lay out got the bathroom flooded. So be careful not to shower too long.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights from December 29 2016. This hotel is 20 minutes to airport and is just outside the Central of Guiyang city. Since most of the tourists' spots are scattering around Guiyang and are quite far apart,we found using Pullman Hotel as a base was convenient. Breakfast offered great choices and food was good. We did not tried the other restaurant in the hotel, not even at New Year Eve because they didn't have celebration in the hotel! We went to the popular eatery street just behind the hotel instead. Great fun and wonderful dishes in different food stalls. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Wifi signals all over the hotel was good. Services were excellent and we were made feeling at home. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We surely will recommend this hotel to our friends travelling to Guiyang.
16th July: Slow Check-in. Seems only one person handled group check-in. Pay ¥500 for deposit. Wait an hr before the room is ready. Room is clean. Requested for a cassia pillow & it took them a while to send to the room. At non-smoking floor, still can smell cigarettes, din sleep well. 20th July: Check-in at night - the room was Dirty. Too tired to request a change of room. Requested for a cassia pillow & they run out of it. The pillow in the room is too soft even when I stacked both together. Din sleep well. Luckily this time no smells of cigarettes. It is July, busy month for them but I still could not tolerate a Dirty room!! The wall in the bathroom is dirty, the hangers in the closet were dusty, the carpet is dusty as I have allergies even with slippers on. Location: Linked to shopping mall that is equipped with small aquarium with baby sharks, turtles, stingrays, eels & quite a variety of fishes. Children love them. Also linked to a street selling local delicacies. Abt 30 mins from Airport for normal traffic condition.
Loved and friendly reception and so helpful in finding places. Such a modern style is my favorite. Very close to airport. Free internet and coffee pods. Best budget stay I have ever had.you can go there and have a try.
The hotel is located in very good surrounding, near a big shopping mall with lot's of restaurants. All sightseeing spots are easy to reach. Room is really spacey and in top condition. Check in was fast and efiicient, but I didn't get the voucher for a free drink for my Platinum Membership status. Internet is outstandig fast and really easy to log in w/o any enerving registration! Less good was airport pick up booking. Had sent a mail to the hotel some days prior arrival. Never get an answer. My chinese friend called and fixed it. Upon arrival there was a car and it worked. On childrens day I wanted to stay in the hotel for buffet dinner. At 07.20h p.m. it was very crowdy and noisy and restaurant reception staff recomended to return after 08.00h p.m. So I did, but then they let me wait outside and dicussed anything. Finally the receptionist brought me to my table - five or six were free, so I didn't understand why to let me wait. Few minutes after I started my dinna they began to remove tables from the room and to make necessary arrangements after kid's party. Why the didn't wai till all guests were out with such? Upon check out to leave the hotel, I had to see that they invoiced pre-payment again. Luckily I had the booking confirmation with me and they started to double check. After some long minutes they found my down payment and made revised invoice. Was the first time in all the years which I am with Accor Hotels, so I do not think it's a system error. But maybe anybody has made any "handwork" which better should not be done. Anyway got the right price but as I travel since more than 20 yrs thru China I really can imagine what have had happen if I din't have this confirmation with me. Accor should double check their procedure. Conclusion: Some space to improve, but my stay was not spoiled at all.
i really like the live counters in the breakfast spread......food was innovative yet they had traditional food . service s not that great because waiters hardly understand english ......would suggest to train the staff in Foreign languages . ambience was good..
There is not much to write, as hotels go, it is just one of them. A place to stay Did not come across anything of particular interest. However, if you are Planning to stay, please read on. It is centrally located in the city, the rooms are very pretty small and compact – hardly any Place to move around, bathrooms are particularly small with just space of one person at A time. Bathroom accessories are of good quality, shower, hot water What I liked about the bathroom was a spacious bath-tub, one could comfortably rest withoutCramping – Lobby One particular gent – English speaking, was quite friendly and jovial, missed to ask his Name. good range of dishes for Breakfast having a quite cute location outside with surrounding trees and water. If you are adventurous and like to try the local food, there is pretty long chain of food stalls Just outside the hotel, you can order food/dishes without speaking the local lingo, as they all Have menus with photos/ prices, but one needs to buy pre-paid card – balance refundable nearby. Was not impressed by their small rooms, not sure if this is standard in all Pullmans, being first stay in this chain. If you are in this part of the world, it is suggestable to stay in international chain
Overall okay. I booked a business package on Accor online that includes complimentary ironing. But nobody at the hotel knows about that and have rejected my request for ironing a dress shirt. Such incident also happened last time I stayed here but they accepted my request last time.
