Stayed for five nights. This hotel is functional and fairly priced. Rooms are large and clean. There is a free shuttle bus running in the mornings to new town. Someone commented that the breakfast could be better. I found out this time that you can order an egg and they will make that for you.
Our family of 5, children aged 4, 8, and 10, stayed here for 2 nights. This 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and very comfortable for all of us. The provide with toothbrushes/paste, toiletries, water and a can of coke/sprite was in the fridge for us to drink. I gave this hotel 3 stars only because they had to move us to a different room after I've tried to shower my 4 year old and there was no hot water. It was very late at night and with the cranky kids, it was very inconvenient for us to move to another floor. But once we all settled in we were comfortable and could enjoy our time in Guangzhou. We would definitely go back to this place for their spacious apartment and for the price. The location is close enough to many restaurant and Starbucks just down the road, maybe 8-10 min. walk. Behind the building, there's a strip of convenience store to purchase water, etc.
We stayed here in January with a large group. No cooking facilities in kitchen which i found strange. We had easy access to shopping malls and Leide Metro station. The Metro is fantastic although perpetually crowded as expected. Surrounding food options were good and cheap. Staff were mostly friendly. Breakfast had some OK options and catered for all tastes.
My group of 7 travellers stayed here for four nights in January. The pick up from airport was very well organised but a little expensive. Most staff were friendly with one notable exception. Location was good. Takes a couple of days to get your bearings. Luckily on the first night we stumbled upon a laneway where there was a massive range of fresh, tasty and diverse street food at ridiculously cheap prices. This was exactly what we had come for so we were very fortunate in that regard. Breakfast was so-so. Rooms had kitchens but no utensils. Kids used room service once with no qualms. Wi-fi was not great although we did not have reason to complain. OK value for money. My advice is to organise a tour and travel metro and ferry. That was a great experience.
Stay at Dan Executive Apartment for 5 days, apartment was so so but very bad service, no cooking and utensils in kitchen, not even a microwave. You have to rent it for 80 Yuen a day. Location is so so, you need to walk about 1 km to TianHe Road where all shopping center located.
Was here for business for three nights in November. I found the Dan Executive Apartments via my client. I can see why they stay there. The hotel: - is convenient to Guangzhou cbd - has large well appointed rooms at good prices - has an ok breakfast. I'd stay again.
loaction is ok. price is very low. breakfest is nothing. room are big but look old. shower is not clean enough and too small compare to other chines hotels. so if you do not mind to get big room near the new city so it' s fine.
I recently spent several days staying at the Dan Executive apartments during a business trip to Guangzhou. It was an excellent place to stay, clean, roomy, well appointed and with very friendly and helpful staff. Guangzhou is a huge city and to be honest I never really got my bearings or had a sense of where I was based in relation to the whole gigantic city. But the location of the Dan complex certainly proved ideal for my purposes. It was very handy to a major transport thoroughfare so that each day our driver would pick up the team and we were off and on our way very quickly and efficiently. Just along the block there was a whole row of eating places, all different types of cuisine, and we took turns picking a different eatery each evening. Then we just wandered back to the hotel to our superbly comfortable rooms and rested up for the next day's activities. There was also a supermarket in this block so it was a simple matter to stock up on supplies. My apartment consisted of a generous living area, a roomy bedroom with a very comfortable bed,a small kitchen and an excellent bathroom. There was also a balcony and another smaller balcony that had a washing machine on it. There were so many nice and thoughtful touches in the room's accessories - an umbrella in the wardrobe, a shaving kit and dental supplies in the bathroom, a rechargeable torch beside the bed, even a stationery compendium and a sewing kit in the bedside cabinet. The air-conditioning was very effective, despite the outside temperatures soaring to 36 degrees, and there was free wi-fi. This was a bit slow but that may have been to do with Chinese restrictions on internet traffic, I'm not sure. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and there was an excellent range of Chinese and European food to fuel up on for the busy day ahead. All the staff were very friendly and exuded a Chinese hospitality which is quite something to experience. I would very much recommend this as a place to stay in Guangzhou.
I recently stayed at the Dan Apartments for six nights. It was a great place to be based. We were travelling out of town most days but it was nice to come back to a comfortable base each night. There is a street full of food outlets a short distance away which we frequented nightly. Very handy for a working group. The rooms were well laid out although I found the lack of any cutlery etc in the kitchen annoying. I would recommend the Dan Apartments to anyone going to Guangzhou.
I have stayed at this place three times now. The first two it was absolutely excellent. The last time there is now new management and a few things were not working. They kept asking for a deposit after we had already paid upon check in. I offered to pay the entire amount of my stay and they refused, then i would get another call again to top up my deposit. That was irritating. However the rooms are still spacious and nice. If you need non-smoking don't get rooms on the 15th floor and under...You can also order gas cooker and it comes with all the cutlery if you are going to use the kitchen. Make sure the room comes with breakfast, sometimes they don't.
