A good 3 star

This place has a lot of bad reviews I was reluctant to book but with limited options we took a chance. Location is perfect with wonderful waterfront views. A nice walk to the market or marina you are steps to everything but tucked away from the strip so the hotel itself is very peaceful.The pool is huge but the water was on the cold side. The rooms are massive with 2 washrooms a separate sitting area and a massive balcony. The rooms are showing signs of wear and tear but they have updated the furniture and everything was clean. We booked this knowing it was a 3 star and it is a great 3 star. The hotel place seemed empty all the time it was difficult to find someone working,we would have to go to the front desk for water or anything like that. So if you are looking for cocktails around the pool forget about it unless you bring your own. It’s one of the few waterfront properties in saint Francois so you do pay for that but if that is important to you then it is worth the stay.

Loved La Cocoteraie!

We loved La Cocoteraie! The pros: 1. Perfect location on the whole island- within walking distance of a marina, golf course, restaurants and shops, yet so peaceful. 2. Super clean. 3. Awesome manager and really helpful and friendly staff- shout out to Christian and Laurence! 4. Huge, clean pool. 5. Right on the beach. 6. Delicious and filling included breakfast every day. 7. Dinner is also delicious, as well as drinks at the bar- thanks to Allen! 8. Room is huge- 2 bathrooms, separate sitting room and outdoor covered terrace. 9. Super hot and strong shower. The cons: 1. It's old and in need of some refurbishment. This ranges from simple painting to dangerously unsafe railings overlooking the beach. This is not a luxurious hotel in the fashion of a Ritz Carlton. It is an old style European Caribbean hotel and we loved it!

It might have been a nice hotel....20 years ago. Swimming pool was off for two days (pump issue), our minibar and other appliance were broken. Pool side is dangerous. Not up to a standard to receive american clients.

The hotel is in serious need of an updated. Rooms are generally clean but our hottub was not clean and the water was dirty coming from the pipes. While staff was polite, their minimal English was an issue.

Attractive hotel, near marina.

Perfectly located beachside hotel with a gigantic, beautiful swimming pool. Flowers everywhere. Our room was actually an apartment, large bedroom, living room, and two full bathrooms. A lot of upgrading needed all over the hotel, but the overall impression was Pleasant. Breakfast somewhat disorganized, but plentiful. Staff very helpful at all levels. Being so close to the marina a great plus.beautiful views

Excellent location below mediocre service

No phone, no room service, exterior falling apart and late arrivals has no food as kitchen closes at 9:30 PM.Overgrown shrubs and unlighted foot paths with broken concrete makes it drangreous to walk at night.It has seen better days.unless opener ship pour money to make it better,it would deserve at best two star.?It was a sad excuse for a resort.Can not recommend as it is overly priced. On arrival at 10 P M only person to check us in was the watchman. When asked to meet the Manager,he would not come to the facility till next morning. Extremely disappointed with the facility. Shower did not work. Extremely short of staff to get anything done. Do not recommend it to anyone.

Great pool, small beach. Rooms were large but not in greatest shape. Property was very pretty and it was great to stay near the marina and have options for dinner, shopping, etc. we really enjoyed this hotel and would stay again.

Relaxing, pleasant stay

Hotel staff was very courteous. They called a reliable taxi service for us and were always available to help in any way. The room was spacious and clean. We felt very relaxed and safe. Free breakfast offerings were wonderful. Check in was about an hour late, though, & the noise from the nearby restaurants with live music could sometimes be heard at night. I do wish there was a way to make coffee/tea in room. I overall enjoyed my stay.

Unfortunately, I was only here for two days. Pool and beach amenities were great. Morning breakfast included was amazing. Only comment is the lack of available WiFi save for the Hotel lobby, but in truth, in a climate and atmosphere as this, you should not be on WiFi!
