I stayed in this hotel this past Friday night. The room was clean except for the hair on the towel in the bathroom. The size of the room was great. Biggest complaint is the breakfast in the morning. We came down around 7:45 with about 15 minutes to eat and get to an appt. There were no bowls and we had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to get some. There was NO water. The machine which said water was not working and there was not a pitcher of it. The food over all was just ok. We have had much nicer breakfast at other hotels. I was very disappointed since I was staying there based on the brand. The person who was overseeing the breakfast seemed to be very busy chatting with the person at the front desk then over seeing the guest needs. I was just disappointed.
I was very new to both Greenville NC and Winterville. It is very rural but Greenville has more restaurants and things to do than Winterville. The hotel itself was very nice. I was put in the handicap room which made me feel very guilty but the room was spacious and clean and it had a full size fridge, a small dish washer, and a two stop stove and microwave. There was an evening reception with a free glass of wine or beer and small appetizer type meals. The only negative I could find was in the gym there was no hand sanitizer or anything to wipe the machines down. The towels were also practically gone. Other than that my stay was comfortable and Id recommend.
nice room, comfortable bed and pillows, most of the staff are great, 1 during the meet/greet leaves a lot to be desired, but overall its a nice place to stay with many restaurants nearby. Hospital across the street, ECU near by. I stay here at least 3-4 times a year and have only been disappointed once.
The Residence Inn in Greenville appears to be a newer property for Marriott with updated rooms. We've stayed at this location twice now while visiting family over holidays. The rooms are always clean and spacious. I'm not usually one to fight for platinum benefits when on business travel, but I had my fiance with me on this trip and we were on a longer stay, so I was hoping for a room upgrade to a suite that appeared to be available according to their website. The front desk did not offer us an upgrade when we checked in as Marriott's benefits state they should, and when we inquired, we were told nothing was available even though the website showed they were. After a long day of travel, we werent in the mood for playing games after the lady at the desk asked us "what our fascination with a suite is." After a quick call to Marriott's reservation line where they phoned the hotel, a suite had apparently JUST cancelled so they could get us an upgrade within seconds of telling us one wasn't available. Yep, games. After spending tens of thousands of dollars with a single brand because of promised loyalty perks, it shouldn't be too much to ask to receive promised benefits without having to fight for them. On Christmas Eve night, we felt bad for whoever drew the short straw and had to work the front desk, so we brought them a full tin of cookies, and didn't even receive a thank you. The staff is just incredibly unfriendly. Luckily, there is a new Marriott property being built right down the street, and we'll certainly be trying that one during our next stay.
Upon arrival, I was very impressed with the appearance of this establishment. Even better, the room was absolutely amazing. The amenities was convenient and the comfort of the bed was to die for. Very clean.
Clean, quiet, large rooms. Staff go above and beyond to meet expectations. Excellent managers reception. Nice outside patio. Across the street from ECU. Easily accessible. Would return in the future when traveling.
EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER from each department was very polite, and hospitable. All staff exuded satisfaction, and it was apparent each member was willing to go the extra mile. I felt safe my entire stay, and their amazing breakfast and extra-curricular evening activities were a cool addition.
The entire staff was very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The entire stay could not have gone better. I stay in hotels for business over 200 nights a year and this was one of my favorite stays. If your travels take you to Greenville NC, give this place a try.
I decided to try this property out because my usual hotel chain (membership) was a little more expensive and I am GLAD I did. Although I wasn't able to check in early(they were full the night prior) , all else was quite perfect. I am considering changing my membership. The staff was especially customer friendly. This was Sep 3-4th.
Very nice and clean hotel. Room was large with living room and bedroom in an L shape. Refrigerator, microwave, freezer, dish washer. Excellent food for breakfast every morning and three evening snacks per week. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Service excellent. Cost is about 1/3 greater than it needs to be. Work out are and pool clean and available.
