The Bluff House is a place to visit. There staff is courteous, they are very happy and enjoy having you on board. The ladies at the Tranquil turtle beach go out of there way to make you feel right at home. The food is good. The ocean view rooms are as published and they are awesome. The marina is neat and comfortable. We will be back!!!
Went during pizza and pasta night. I had the burger, my husband had the lobster seafood pizza. Both were good. I enjoyed the pizza a little more. It had a smidge bit of spice that was unexpected. Good spot to try.
We've been taking our boat to the Bluff House Marina each year for the last six years. Each time we visit is better than the last. The Hospitality that Molly and the Bluff House Staff offers can't be matched. Ballyhoo and the Tranquil Turtle both offer incredible local delicacies. Fine dining at night in the Ballyhoo, and casual dining overlooking the Sea of Abaco, a true island atmosphere. The Marina is well kept and one of the nicest in Abaco. The dock masters, Fernando and Andrew are fantastic. Anything you need, they will bend over backwards to get it for you. In 2017 & 2018 we stayed well over 30 days, and this year was only a week. We look forward to our 2020 trip to the Bluff House.
This place has it all: nice marina, nice restaurant, and spectacular view. PLUS, the staff are all so helpful & courteous. We enjoyed the two meals we ate there, and the one night of entertainment- simply grand!!!
We pass through Green Turtle on our way home every year. Tried the Bluff House this year. While we planned to stay a couple nights, we were gone the next day. Felt run down; the pool area was littered with half empty cocktail glasses mid afternoon from the night before, one with a palmetto bug in it. Yuk. Service at the TT bar was so slow it was comical. I thought surely this is everyone's first day on the job. One young lady stirring a pitcher of tea for 5 minutes while absolutely everyone at the bar was waiting for service of some kind. Clearly no system for service. We sat at 1:50, were finally able to order a beer and lunch at 2:15, finally served at 3. Ultimately an extremely drunk boat captain pulled in on a sport fish and proceeded to get extremely drunker and blare music and party hard well into the evening while entertaining fellow drunkards...blaring music. They were urinating right outside our boat off the dock, unaware we were looking right at their groceries until husband made them aware and asked them to take it elsewhere. If we had planned to stay longer, surely we would have brought these issues to the attention of management. When you're transient with options, it's just easier to leave.
This place is in need of attention The pool is dirty We all got ear infections The patio area is in disarray You can see that somebody does not do their job The management not doing what the management should do and it’s seing all does things Don’t fuel your boat water in the fuel And the management will tell you it’s not them the problem but the fuel company!!!!!!! I even over heard her calling her clients idiots The owners need to wake up
Stopped for lunch and ordered conch and beef. Service and food were great and location overlooking beach very pleasing. Easy location to get to and would go back if I ever visit the island again. Nice outside seating.
Our daughter was married at our home on Green Turtle Cay and had both the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception a the Bluff House. The rehearsal dinner included over 80 guests and was a beach BBQ at the Tranquil Turtle, the great beach bar at the Bluff House. The food was amazing and the evening included a huge bonfire on the beach. The following evening the wedding reception was held at the Ballyhoo restaurant at the Bluff House Marina. THat setting was simply magical and the buffet which included local specialties was outstanding. Molly McIntosh, the Manager personally oversaw every detail of both events and made sure everything was perfect--it truly was a once in a lifetime event and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a destination wedding!!
We have traveled far and wide throughout the Abacos. Green Turtle is a special island, Bluff house is a special place on the island. Molly the Gm and her son Char are genuine nice people who treat you like family. Not your kind of family, the kind you wish you had! ALL the front office staff make an effort and put on a smile regardless of the kind of day they may have. We came by sailboat again after having been away for several years. So familiar, so friendly. Andrew and Fernando the dockmasters are absolutely the best staff you could ask for. Don’t ever lose them, they know your name and boat and are actually there to help. What a great first impression. I hope they will soon have the old building atop the hill open.. views were great and we really enjoyed the formal atmosphere island style! The beach bar is staffed by absolute winners...they are working their butts off in a fast last environment and yet always smile, they like our dog Yoda and banter with my wife on how useless I am! So great. And, shocker, they actually have a meaningful happy hour 241.... clearly they get it ( take note Nippers, Grabbers and others) wish they had food specials! Take our word for it... it does not get any better than Bluff House on GTC We are headed back after doing Spanish Cay, Guana, Marsh and Hopetown. So much better here.
We were sailing through the Abacos and stayed at the Bluff House Marina. From the minute we docked, we were pampered with the wonderful staff catering to our every need from: servicing the boat with water and electricity; access to washing machines; wonderful showers; RESTAURANT; awesome beach bar; and gift shop. Of course, the best aspect of Bluff House is the awesome staff!!!! Molly helped with any issue we had and her son Char directed us to wonderful spots to visit. I have to mention two shinning stars. Alicia, our waitress, was beyond a doubt, a great ambassador for the Abacos! She has a wonderful personality and a great smile. Alicia made sure we were taken care of. The second is Katie at the beach bar. She was such a great person to talk with. Always smiling and bantering with our crew. To top it all off, Katie is a wizard at concocting wonderful drinks to delight everyone's palate!!!!!
