Jurys Inn Glasgow

Loved the hotel and the location was super convenient. The staff was great and super helpful. Would recommend staying here if you want to stay in Glasgow by the shipping and train

We stayed at the Jury's Inn, Jamaica Street, for 2 nights in September 2016. It is close to the rail station, which can attract some unsavory types loitering in the area. It is an easy walk to a number of shops and restaurants, however. We had an Executive suite, which was a corner room, and was lovely. Great view of the river, and the complimentary waters, cokes, and KitKats were appreciated! The breakfast buffet was ok, nothing spectacular, and I would think you could get a less expensive and better breakfast elsewhere (ours was included). Parking is in a garage across the street for 7 pounds/24 hours IF you get your ticket validated at the hotel desk. Also, don't forget to take your parking ticket with you, you will need it to enter the parking garage structure doors when you return.

Convenient to some restaurants and stores and walking distance to some main locations.

I have traveled to Europe on several occasions. Jurys Inn, Glasgow was a marvelous experience. In fact, I have had none better. The rooms were large (by European standards), comfortable and clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. There is a genuineness about those who work there that lets you know they put their whole heart into serving their guests. The rooms and amenities were very good. The staff far exceeded expectations and that will lead me to always choose Jurys Inn when I am in Glasgow.

We only stayed here 2 nights but it was a great place for a great price. Rooms were pretty basic, but large and comfortable. I'd say the rooms are comparable to the new Motel 6's. The lobby is great. Free wifi. Walking distance to everything.

This is a nice hotel with friendly, but not particularly efficient staff. The room is OK, but the double bed is too small and way too soft.

This was the start of a tour of Scotland. Hotel staff extremely welcoming. Room pleasant and spotlessly clean. Great downtown location. Ate in the restaurant. Food very tasty and well prepared.

Pretty good hotel close to train station and main shopping area

good value for the money. Very accommodating front desk staff who let me change rooms when the first room was too noisy. great location. would stay there again. Only caveat: avoid rooms by the railroad tracks - noisy!

The Hotel and staff at the Jury's Inn worked very hard to make sure our stay was wonderful. I would like to go even further and say Claire and her team went beyond the norm to help us with parking and other needs. When I go back to Glasgow I will definitely stay at the Jury's Inn.

The hotel is smack dab in the center and close to Central Station and the subway. The room was a decent enough size, with two double beds and a view of the River Clyde. The staff were so accommodating and gave me a free coffee/tea voucher while I awaited the availability of the room. Wifi worked well and is free. The restaurant menu was very affordable, and we had a delicious complimentary drink at the bar. The only complaints I had were that there was some construction taking place on Sunday morning (we could hear hammering), and there was only one outlet next to the beds. Fortunately, I brought an extension chord in anticipation.

The staff is very welcoming on your arrival and quick to respond. We had a lamp that needed a new bulb and they sent someone up right away to take care of the problem. Likewise we were short a set of towels and they had someone deliver them.

Warm and friendly welcome maintained through all subsequent interactions with staff. Quite exceptional.

I had a lovely 4 night stay here. I arrived by train so the location near the Central Station and in walking distance of many of the main areas and good restaurants was the main reason I chose it. But it turned out to be a lovely, clean, friendly and affordable place and I would gladly stay there again. The breakfast buffet while not included in the price was still extensive and delicious. The staff was very friendly. My room was spotless and I would recommend requesting a room on an upper floor. I had one with a view of the river and even though it looked over the train tracks as well, the double glazed windows kept it extremely quiet. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very well situated in central Glasgow, less than a ten minute walk from the high end shopping and restaurant scene on Buchanan and George Square. It is also directly on top of the main train station, so you will feel and hear trains coming at all hours. While the rooms and lobby look newly renovated, the same treatment was not offered the slightly older bathrooms and heating/AC system (which makes an impressive racket). Well worth the stay for the location, but probably on the lower end of what you'd expect for 4 stars.

As I had to go to Scotland on a very short notice, I didn't have time to change my phone over to the international phone (Verizon). I need to use the phone in my room. I ask the person at the front desk, "how much it would cost to call locally)? (In Glasgow) She told me that it wasn't that expensive at all. So I made four calls with a total amount of time of less than 10 mins. Upon check out I found out the cost was $31.15 U.S. I couldn't believe my eyes. I am still dumbfound that it would cost over $30 to make 4 calls that took less than 10 min for all (Local calls). The person at the front desk told me that they couldn't do anything about it since they are charged by the telephone company. I ask to see the rates from the telephone company but she couldn’t provide me with any. So word of the wise it might be cheaper to use your cell phone. Two more things to say, the hotel can be noisy at night due to the fact that building is adjacency to the main train terminal where all the train lines met. The second thing was my heat in the room kept turning off every two hours I could almost see my breath. All in All it was located in the heart of Glasgow and I would stay there again, since I am wiser now.
