Stayed here many times. Nice hotel. I’ll stay again. But today the hot water took 20 minutes to get to my room. Not good when you are trying to be time efficient in the morning. Also the sight of a foreign guest clearing out the buffet bar and taking 3 Self made packed lunches with him after having eaten a full breakfast was not welcome. Bed and breakfast. Not bed breakfast and lunches, therefore keeping prices high for everyone else!
Stayed 2 nights in April. Drove up to hotel and found no parking outside to unload luggage. Ended up getting a parking ticket for parking 10 minutes while checking in. Minimal amenities in hotel. Crowded breakfast area. Ended up eating breakfast out both days. I do not recommend this hotel.
This hotel for us is perfect. The location is ideal for visiting Glasgow very central.breakfast or lovely. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This was my fourth time staying here. Actually went to the sse hydro to see dancing on ice and if you have never been to the hydro for concert or show wow it's fantastic. Thought oh my god it will be full of people pushing and shoving but not at all. Great stress free night.
We were visiting Glasgow in order to surprise my partners twin sister on their birthday. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 2 nights as part of a British Airways deal. We were very confused at first when we arrived because there are two holiday inns next door to one another. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable with a power shower in the batchroom. The rooms had complementry WiFi and the price included a great breakfast. The location was good, very close to Buchanan Street Bus Station and a short walk to the City Centre. The staff were very cheeful and helpful and we will definitely stay again.
My wife and I stayed at Holidy Inn Express Theatreland overnight Wednesday 4 April 2018. We were in Glagow to see Jersey Boys. This hotel is ideal, close to city centre and Buchanan Street bus station. The room was in great condition, clean and warm. The staff are all very friendly and helpfull. We will use this hotel again for our next trip to Glasgow.
Holiday inn expresss was close to shops, restaurants, cinema and bus station which services Glasgow airport shuttle. Room and bathroom were clean. Writing Desk and iron in room but limited space to hang clothes. Tea and coffee supplied. Buffet Breakfast included cooked items, cereals, fruit, fruit juice and hot drinks. Room had adequate heating and noise insulation. Would stay here again.
I was going for the Holiday Inn and NOT the Express but I got confused. Both hotels are literally next door to each other. That was my bad. The HI Express is a typical basic business hotel. Nothing much to expect. Helpful staff (I loved the Scottish accent by the way although I had serious problems understanding them). The rooms were warm and sleep quality was OK. Internet speed is also good. There's a parking lot right across the street. At walking distance from all major attractions.
I recently stayed her with my 8 year old daughter as a treat after going to the cinema nearby. The room was very comfortable and warm. We were on the second floor, the reception staff were very helpful on arrival. The breakfast was good, my daughter enjoyed the selection of jams available. There wasn't a great selection of hot food, scrambled egg, sausage, bacon and beans was all that was on offer. I've stayed at many holiday inns throughout the country and there's usually a wider selection. Still, adequate for the price I pad for the room and my daughter was happy. The only downside I have is that the underground train can be felt rumbling till around 11:30pm and starts back up at 6:30am. This was frequent throughout this time period so if you are a light sleeper I would avoid this particular hotel or request a higher floor where it may not be as bad. All in all a pleasant stay and I would consider staying again
Well my first trip to Glasgow never nearly happened because of the storms of late, but as luck would have it everything from the flight from Cardiff to the excellent service given on arrival by the bus operative, we were in the bus station in no time and a brief walk round the corner to the hotel. The reception we were given was very friendly, efficient and a joy to behold. the rooms were nice and warm (especially when you turned the radiators on, beds very comfortable. The location to the shopping area and centre of town was great . The breakfast was good choice and very good quality and I have to say the whole of the staff were exceptionally friendly. Indeed as a footnote we found that where ever we went in Glasgow, everyone was hugely friendly and helpful.
On arrival we were greeted with a smile on a freezing cold day everything was explained where restaurant was breakfast times bar & how lift worked the reception area was very clean we were checked in in minutes on arrival to our room we were very pleased with the layout no complaints we stayed for two nights breakfast was very good and free would recommend this hotel.
