Very impressed with our 2 night stay. Room had all we needed & nothing we didn’t. Comfortable bed and request for a quiet room away from the road was met. Staff friendly & helpful. Great shower pressure & possibly our only gripe was that it was too hot & we couldn’t seem to make it any cooler! Breakfast adequate for being included in room cost. Great location for transport links, shopping & theatre. Highly recommend.

Can't complain about this place, great location, comfortable bed, nice shower and nice staff. It is very basic but for me it is all I need a room with a nice bed and a nice shower spot on. For breakfast it had all the usual foods you need.

Holiday Inn Express, 165 West Nile Street is my favorite hotel in Glasgow. The hotel is very well located to Sauchiehall street with most of the major retail outlets like Marks & Spencer, Boots Chemist and others. But most of all the best thing this hotel is offering is very friendly staff. Most member of my family have spent some days at the hotel and they are all very satisfy

This hotel is very convenient for shopping as in great central location, room was clean and bed comfortable, However, every minute the alarm censor flashed like a camera bulb the full night and was SO annoying it made it almost impossible to get to sleep. I complained at checkout only to be told this was normal. I wont be back!! shame as this was the only fault. Car parking across road is also very expensive, at £14.50 even with hotel discount.

Walking distance to Buchanan station and Glasgow Central. Very convenient location, clean room with breakfast provided. Near to Sauchiehall street with most of the major retail outlets like Marks & Spencer, Boots Chemist and others.

Stayed here as we had a booking for the theatre a couple of yards away, rooms are spotless( although small), with tea/coffee etc, tv with plenty of channel's, iron and board, hairdryer, toiletries in the bathroom with heated towels. Some road noise earlier in the evening but cosy and quiet throughout the night. The restaurant downstairs served a beautiful 3 course dinner which I would recommend, breakfast was both hot and cold buffet ,it can get busy at certain times but the staff accommodate your needs

Lovely rooms, nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. Room was a good temperature and road noise didn’t seem to be an issue given the hotels location. Overall a comfortable stay and one to bear in mind next time we’re visiting.

As my daughter had I were going to the theatre my husband booked an overnight stay for us and, as I have stayed several times, I was not disappointed. We had a great room and everything was ideal. The breakfast was really fresh and the girls in the breakfast room are friendly and welcoming. The desk staff are always friendly but welcoming too.

Our first visit to this hotel and we were not disappointed, friendly welcoming staff complimentary drink so a great start to the weekend. Our room was on the second floor looking out onto street and car park opposite, which is ideal for guest parking. The room was not large but provided everything that we required, tea, coffee, small TV, ironing board, hairdryer, and shower with toiletries provided. A very good selection at breakfast offering both hot and cold buffet, a very busy time but staff were quick and efficient dealing with guests as they waited for a table. there is a restaurant attached to the hotel which on this occasion we did not try We thoroughly enjoyed our one night here as it was comfortable, friendly and close to all the theatres and shops. We shall look forward to returning again for a longer stay.

We stayed at the HI Express Theatreland for 2 nights at the end of November during a short trip to Glasgow. Getting to the hotel from the airport was extremely simple by using the Airport Express bus and getting off at the end of the line at Buchanan Station. From the station its a very short walk up the street to the hotel; however, its important to note that the HI Express is behind/beside the Holiday Inn so don't get confused as there are in fact two different properties. Check in was quick and straightforward with my IHG status acknowledged which was nice. Our room was on the 3rd floor far from the elevator on the back of the building so it was relatively quiet although the interior of the property appeared to be in need of a refresh as the finishes appeared quite dated both inside and outside of the room. Breakfast is included and as was expected it was quite busy from 0800hrs until 0930hrs but there was a fair selection of hot options (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans) and other things considered as part of the usual 'continental breakfast' although it would have been nice to have even the most basic selection of cheeses and cold cuts as opposed to just bacon and sausage. The property is a short walk to the centre of the city at George Square and as the title suggests there are both live and movie theatres very nearby. Until the property gets a full refresh i might reconsider returning and/or try the Holiday Inn next door as it appeared to be quite a bit more modern and better maintained.
