I am sure I chose this hotel based on other Tripadvisor reviews and I am SO glad I did! My family of four spent three nights in Glasgow earlier this month and I am grateful we stayed at the Blythswood Square hotel. From the moment we walked into the property we were made to feel welcome. Incredibly friendly staff and beyond helpful! As we were a family of four we had two separate rooms. With teenage boys we aren't comfortable letting them stay in room alone so I stayed in one room with one teen and my husband stayed in the other. My room, 207, was perfect! It wasn't super big and it didn't have a view (my husband took that room) but it was incredibly comfortable... AND dark! Scotland, like northern Europe, has the sun up at 4 am and it doesn't go down until 11. It can be hard to sleep when you're not used to it. The breakfast was delicious. Complete with a Bloody Mary bar! The bar upstairs was our favorite place to be! Our bartender, Danny, was incredibly friendly and fun to talk with. The drinks he made were out of this world! One of the best Negroni's ever. The concierges, we dealt with 3, were ALL so helpful. From restaurant reservations to directions - all with such friendliness. And Johnny the doorman was the BEST! Honestly, every single member of the hotel staff we interacted with was truly warm and welcoming. We left Glasgow for St. Andrews and were incredibly disappointed with our hotel experience there. I'm not sure anything would have been able to compete with our stay at the Blythswood Square at that point. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. You will not be disappointed!

We have visited the restaurant at Blytheswood Square several times but had not been in a while. I am pleased to say that we had a lovely evening and, if possible, things have got even better. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. In the past the staff have perhaps been a little dour. Only criticism is the distance of the gents' rest room from the restaurant. An excellent night out.

Best hotel Ive ever stayed in, food was amazing and not that expensive (I was expecting it to be), rooms were amazing and modern, planned to go into the city centre after our dinner but didn't bother as the bar and restaurant were good enough. Def returning soon

This is 5 star hotel in a fantastic location, but it is really missing some of the finishing touches needed to make it a a fantastic hotel. On arrival our room wasn't ready and although we were 30 mins early we had to wait well over an hour before we could get into our room, which meant spending money in their overpriced bar. During the wait we were never at any time updated on the status of our room. The room itself had a few minor issues, such as dirty smudged mirror, over bed lamp shade not replaced properly and chipped woodwork on slide, separating bathroom from bedroom. We were definitely less than impressed with the quality of the cooked breakfasts, although the buffet breakfast was very good.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Glasgow and ten minutes walk from the station - easy to park outside as well. Lovely welcome from reception and smooth check in and went up to the most beautiful room with a gorgeous bathroom. Had a dinner in the hotel with some guests and the food was excellent and a great choice of starters mains and deserts. This is one of the best hotels in Glasgow and worth a visit. The attention to details from the welcome at the door by concierge in the tartan trousers to reception staff and bar staff - is really second to none!!

We popped in here for a drink as we had heard that the first floor lounge was lovely and I have to say that it met our expectations, a beautiful very comfortable lounge , nice Bar , attentive staff, and great selection of Whisky, what more can a man ask for !!, Two large glass of Whisky was £20 OUCH, but it was worth the experience.

Attended a business networking evening. I arrived early and was taken to the room where the event was to be held down stairs. It was a beautiful sunny evening, the staff member arranged for me to have a glass of wine outside whilst I waited on others to arrive. A great venue with great service.

Our first stop on our honeymoon was Blythswood for a spa package and a night's stay. We were greeted by John in plaid pants and all! He was so helpful and kind. Our spa experience was unbelievable. We received such warm hospitality from all of the employees. We will be back one day, we hope!

First time visit to the Blythswood Square Hotel for my husband and I. We arrived too early for our booking so decided to have a pre lunch cocktail in the Salon. We were seated immediately with menus, water and popcorn while we had a look at the cocktail menu. Decision made the cocktails produced quickly, nicely presented and tasted delicious. After our cocktails we were escorted to the restaurant by a lovely girl for our lunch booking where we got to choose our own table. We ordered wine and cider and plumped for the market menu which is 3 courses for £22. Husband chose the ham hough terrine and pork belly with all the trimmings while I opted for the mackerel starter and the coley with potatoes, veg and a lemon sauce. I finished with a white chocolate cheesecake and the husband a coffee with shortbread. Overall a fantastic visit to Blythswood Square Hotel, food was lovely and well presented, service was great, staff were nice and cocktails were fantastic and to top it off were serviced in such beautiful surroundings. Will return for more food and drinks and would recommend

it's a winner. classic, elegant hotel but with original and fresh decor and a laidback vibe. interesting and challenging contemporary artwork in the salon. beautiful relaxed super comgy bedrooms. brown marble (?) in the bathrooms. and as always, above everything else, friendly staff throughout. from cleaning to the bar to the restaurant. doorman has a radiant smile too.
