Diversión en el río! Bienvenido a nuestra casa de vacaciones en West Virginia, a la que llamamos cariñosamente "The Nest". Nuestro sitio de inicio de 2 acres está situado en un prado privado de veinte acres en las orillas del río Cacapon a solo 20 minutos al oeste de Berkeley Springs. We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful chalet! It was incredibly private and located right on the water, which made for a peaceful and scenic escape. The amenities were top-notch—everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, and the owners’ attention to detail and cleanliness was truly impressive.The fire pit was a highlight for cozy evenings, and we had a blast kayaking and fishing right from the property. The house itself was very comfortable and relaxing—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature.If you're looking for a serene getaway with great outdoor activities and a well-maintained, welcoming home, this is it. Amazing Home on the River

Clean, comfortable house on a large piece of land with direct river access. Beautifully decorated. Amazing firepit, outdoor games and huge mowed yard surrounding the property. Looking forward to coming back.

A Place Away From Busy Life

My friends and I loved Jack’s cabin. It was peaceful and close by to nearby parks. The cabin itself was very clean and had a lot of included amenities, including kayaks, which we were grateful for. The check-in process was easy as Jack met us at the property to hand us the keys and go over onboarding. Check out was very easy. We would definitely recommend this to small families or friends who are looking to get away from the busy world of urban or suburban Maryland.

A beautiful area

Very clean and organized. Lots of things for inside and outside entertainment. Wonderful fire pit with wood provided. Very secluded and quiet. It was easy to communicate with the hosts. Very nice people.

Amazing Place, Great Host

Jack was an excellent host and his place was awesome. The check in process was easy as Jack met us at the door and provided driving instructions to his wonderful home. Wonderful Thanksgiving!

My family enjoyed our stay here over the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything was wonderful: clean; an over abundance of sheets, towels, pillows, and bedding; fully equipped kitchen; firewood chopped for the fire pit; kayaks ready for use; and more. We were welcome by the owner who was friendly and informative. I am looking forward to a summer stay!

Hidden gem

I don’t have enough good things to say about staying here! We stayed for 6 days and were so sad to leave. Jack and Jeannie have put so much thought into the house. It had everything you could need! The property is so beautiful and peaceful and was a great place to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The river access is like no other. We saw a couple groups of people further up the river but only had 2 kayakers go past us the whole time we were there. It was like having our own private river! We loved getting to use the kayaks, but also enjoyed just floating around since the current was not very strong. This place is truly a hidden gem and we can’t wait to plan our next visit back here!

Best Girls Weekend Getaway

This home is clean and fully stocked with everything you need for a relaxing time by the river. The 2nd fridge is a great addition along with several outdoor activities and an amazing fire pit. Jack was very responsive and his detailed instructions prior to, and during check in were perfect. Jack is very friendly and we enjoyed the guided tour upon arrival. We have been staying at river front houses for 15 years and this by far was the BEST one we have encountered. The location is secluded and beaming with wildlife. We saw a bald eagle, deer, river otters, fish, many types of birds and a great array of butterflies. It was simply the perfect weekend.

Rest, peace and quiet

We really enjoyed staying at the Nest. Great location for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives to rest, reenergize, enjoy and marvel at God's wonderful creation outdoors.
