Needs an Iron and Ironing board actually in the room. Could do with a smart TV and a coffee pod machine. The towels smell like paint. It would good to be able to get plates and cutlery from reception when having takeaway rather than walking over to the restaurant.

Good hotel

The room was clean, warm witha comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities in room with a basket of tea and coffee sachets at reception if you need more. Only issue was that the shower wasnt the best, not very strong flow and didnt stay hot for long.

Could do with smart tv’s, an iron/ironing board actually in the room and a coffee pod machine + biscuits. Also, it would be good if you could get plates and cutlery for takeaways in the hotel rather than having to walk over to the restaurant. Also, the towels always smell like paint. It’s like the laundry is adding a small amount of white paint to their process.

This was a really difficult one to rate. We specifically like that this room had a sofa bed, but there were no linens or blankets provided for that, and when we asked at reception, they seemed bewildered as to why we would ask for something like that. Eco-friendliness was top notch; you needed to insert your key into a reader into the wall to activate the power, and they collect recyclables at the end of your stay. Tea kettle and tea bags/instant coffee were provided. The parking lot is big, and parking was included. There is a family restaurant/pub associated with the hotel, and the food for dinner was really good. Luckily we didn’t pre-pay for breakfast, as the one time we tried it, it was pretty bad. The hotel chain website advertises “cooked to order” as well as continental options, but this place was doing a buffet that was… not good. We went once and regretted it. The location was good if you’re exploring with a car or needing to use the train. I can’t really think of anything else to say. It was completely average. But, if you’re going to have a sofa/trundle bed, please include the linens for it, or at least make them available at the desk.
