We booked AND PAID for a room at this hotel 6 months prior to our visit on July this year. Due to ‘their’ error they overbooked and sent our reservation to a neighbouring hotel, with no views or ‘Swiss ambience’. This practice should be outlawed where rooms have been booked and paid for in advanve

We stayed at the hotel for four nights, we found it excellent value, and the staff were fantastically helpful and pleasant. The room was small and cosy, and we had a couple of problems as we found temperatures in the hotel too high, and we had a problem with the bathroom which we decided to live with but advised them to fix it for the next client. We solved the bedroom temperature problem by keeping the window open and the radiator off, but be warned, when using the restaurant, don’t over dress. Without asking, we received a discount on the bill because of the bathroom problem, which we thought was top class customer relations. The cost of everything in Switzerland is very high, and so we thought that Fr.37 for the three course evening meal was not unreasonable, and were very pleased to find that if we specified half board the cost was reduced to Fr.30. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinners; you are asked to select the main course at breakfast, and we would recommend you take advantage of the opportunity. The choice at breakfast was excellent, and if you want eggs of any description, just ask. To get the best value out of a trip to St Moritz, you need to do a bit of research and ask some questions, probably best addressed to the hotel. We found that by staying more than two nights we had free passes that allowed us to use all the local buses and trains and all the lifts up into the mountains; this is tremendous value but obviously only for the low season, but a great way to see the area. Transport in Switzerland is of course top-class, and with a bit of research, you will find plenty of buses take you the few minutes from the hotel into the town centre, the railway station, or beyond. If you’re staying at the hotel for more than a night or two, if asked, they will even provide taxis to and from the railway station for free!

Had a lovely one night stay at Hotel Nolda. The staff were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Our room was small but comfortable. The hotel is about a five to ten minute walk from restaurants, the lake foreshore and shops. The wifi was free but the connection was not secure so I would recommend appropriate software on your device to prevent any issues. While the hotel's restaurant was quite expensive, the food was of a very high standard and was very tasty. The hotel is some distance from the train station but there is a public bus service available for about three euros one way. My only negative that the reception had stated there was a special arrangement with taxi's from their hotel to the train station for a flat €12. After exiting the taxi at the train station, despite assurances from reception staff we were charged €15. The taxi driver had stated that since we had not paid at reception before departing the deal would not be honoured. It was the only sour note of our stay.

Free parking right in front of hotel. Friendly and polite receptionist. Sound of ringing cow bell can be heard from the room the whole night because there is a cow pasture right beside the hotel. The room and bathroom are very small.

For some this hotel will be located too far from the centre of St Moritz which in itself is very small but with six bus lines running through Signalbahn Station it was actually a great choice. The number 3 bus terminates here and at the HBF and travels through the middle of town but number 6 was equally good. Best thing about the hotel was the Engadin travel card they give you for staying two nights or more which gave us free cable cars (did three) and free extensive bus travel even out of town saving us a fortune on getting up to the mountains. The hotel itself is situated at the base of Signalbahn cable car and during winter can ski right back to the hotel. We forked out a little extra and got a balcony overlooking the stream as cable car and would do this again. Only gripes included the wifi which constantly need logging in after inactivity and really needs to change to a better system and the lack of tea/coffee maKing in the room. A simple breakfast was included and this was a good start to the day it the pleasant breakfast room. Highly recommended especially if staying two nights or more.

Hotel is beside a mountain stream which just made me feel good. Room was large and comfortable. Good beds. Bath was a bit small but perfectly usable. Only negative was common problem - no A/C and heavy down quilts on beds, which are great for coldest winters but useless in summer. So one is either too hot under the quilt or chilly without it. Breakfast was very good. Short drive to St Moritz center for large choice of places to eat. Free parking right at hotel was a nice plus.

We arrived at the train station and made the mistake of taking a taxi to the hotel. (22 CHF for a mile drive, crazy!) Taking the bus would have been a lot easier and simple once we found out where/how. The staff at the hotel was great. Very friendly. The room was small, but perfect. The bed and pillow were comfortable. Rooms were quiet. Wifi worked great. It was an enjoyable stay and would stay here again. We did walk to the lake, it wasn't too far and a flat walk. To town the center of town it was about a 20-25 min walk and escalator ride.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Check in was seemed with Daniel. We even got 2 cards at check in that gave us free bus rides as well as rides to the top of Motta views! First of all when arriving at the train station take bus 3. The very last stop puts you at the hotel. Breakfast is very good. Very good value. Make sure to order eggs any way you like and as many capaccino as well. Very good coffee. Mayo gave us tremendous service at breakfast and at dinner.

Where everything in Switzerland is expensive, this hotel was the best value for our money. Super tiny bathroom and a single mattress was placed on a squeaky wooden frame. Had WiFi access as mentioned but you need to constantly sign back in. It doesn't stay connected after a very short idle time. It was hot during our stay in early June even with the windows open. Breakfast buffet was not included with our overnight stay. Enjoyed hearing the Swiss cow bells nearby. The bus service was efficient with easy access.

Stayed at Hotel Nolda and enjoyed great services and support for a weekend of hiking in the local mountains. Near everything and a short walk to shopping and local grocery in town. Hotel provides Engarden cards that give free bus and lift services for skiing, hiking and trekking. We purchased breakfast with our reservation and was quite pleased. Strongly recommend Hotel Nolda.
