The first thing we were struck by is how friendly the staff were. From check in to check out the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The rooms themselves are suitable for a short stay, lots of wood and could maybe do with a bit less furniture so as to give you a bit more room. However they are warm in winter and wonderfully sound proofed. Breakfast is very comprehensive with loads of options, all of which are delicious. There were also a number of handy extras included in the price, like the minibar and transfers too and from the train station, that made for a lovely stay. We just wish we’d brought our gym gear to make the most of the spa!
My wife and I stayed at Crystal for one night and were very pleased with our stay. Check-in was swift and easy. The room (superior double) was very clean, so was the bathroom. Room temperature was a little warm but that wasn’t much of a big deal. The cabinet was surprisingly big, something you hardly see these days. We were delighted to hear that the drinks in the mini-bar were offered free of charge, very nice. The hotel is located in the heart of St. Moritz. Breakfast buffet offers plenty of choices. We‘re looking forward to returning to Crystal, hopefully next time our stay will last longer.
We spent one fantastic week in this hotel. Location is excellent; only a few meters from ski train, stuff is friendly and proffessional, breakfast offer is maybe not so wide but everything is very tasteful, piano bar is the best bar in st moritz.. Big recommendation 👍👍 BR Denis
Good: Great central location, excellent staff and adequate breakfast. Bad: Bathroom had no exhaust fan (!) only a small ceiling vent hole above the shower which didn't help. Actually there was no ventilation in the whole room except windows. We had to open the window a couple of times during night to get fresh air. Also when we asked reception how to regulate the heat they told us that a technician needs to be sent to our room to adjust the temperature (!). The king bed was not a true "king" but rather two single mattresses side-by-side and they were very, very firm.
Excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Very good lunch menu. You can walk to the ski lift from the hotel in just 5 minutes on foot. Parking for cars only paid, 25 fr .Not very good soundproofing in the rooms&
Centrally located, friendly staff, good & clean rooms. Very poor restaurant: small buffet breakfast assortment, dinner meals, especially meat, have really low quality & are badly cooked, waiters are inattentive & indifferent to clients. You can leave most of your meal on the plate, but they don't even ask you why. This shows their professional level on the one hand and the level of cooking quality on the other hand. All in all I'd say this hotel is overpriced.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and booked through a deal on booking.com. Our first impressions walking into the hotel were that it seemed dated however after staying there for a couple of nights we found it just more of a traditional style than the contemporary hotels that we usually pick. We booked a superior room which was a little on the small size but still large enough to cater for a couple and our baggage. To our surprise the minibar was completely complimentary however as we were unsure we didn't take full advantage of this as we didn't want any additional charges. Each evening our bed was turned down and small biscuits were placed on each of our pillows which was a nice touch. The staff also replaced any shampoo, body wash, etc that was used daily. They also provided a small sewing kit which was unusual but very handy as we did have a couple of repairs to do. As part of our package we had breakfast included which was also well catered for. The hotel also had several staff members waiting on the breakfast tables which provided a nice level of extra service. The hotel was situated in the centre of town so was walking distance to the train up the mountain and to numerous restaurants. In summary while this hotel appeared 'dated' on the surface we found that the services provided and cleanliness of the hotel meant for a decent stay at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers coming to the area.
Stayed a couple of nights at the Crystal hotel. The hotel is lovely and very traditional with all the natural wood one would expect. The rooms were comfortable and had everything one needed. The service was friendly and efficient with the staff dressed in traditional attire. Maybe a bit much and the breakfast was not the best we had during our travels in Switzerland. All in all a lovely stay. Had fun in the piano bar with all the locals and the entertainers.
This hotel in St Moritz ticked all my boxes....A smart first class hotel with great rooms and staff. Within a 7 minute walk to the station (although through short cuts and not main streets), this hotel is ideally situated to all areas of interest at St Moritz. The funicular to Corvigiia is very near and so are other places like the leaning tower and market place. There is also a Coop and a bus station at the door step of the hotel. The room was impeccably clean and had a great air scent (possibly from the wood used in the room). Good wifi too. The room price included free access to the minibar. The bar at the hotel was also lively with a crooner on show and we could see the locals enjoying themselves. They mixed up our food order there and were very apologetic about it and refused to charge us for our first round of drinks, as a gesture. Breakfast was very good with good hot and cold choices. If only they could replace their wafer thin pillows with sturdier ones! My neck still feels sore!
Al though I was only there for a few hours to attend a event and stayed a night at the hotel. The place is well located, the staff is great, always happy to help. The Piano bar was a cheerful place after 9.00 pm. Clean and sincere hospitality. The beds were clean etc but did not like the quality. That’s my only critical feedback to them. Rest was great. Recommended to all.
