Spend your days soaking in the large 8-person hot tub with lake views, gathering around the fire table on the deck, and spotting local wildlife like moose, foxes, and bears as they wander through the area.

Perfectly located, the home is 30 seconds from snowmobile trails, 3 minutes to Grand & Shadow Mountain Lakes, 3 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park and just 40 minutes from Winter Park Ski Resort. It’s hard to imagine a better mountain getaway.

Sleeping & Living Spaces:

The primary suite on the second floor is a true retreat, featuring spectacular lake views, a cozy fireplace, sitting area, and a dedicated workspace with desk and extra monitor—ideal for remote work. The ensuite bathroom includes a jetted soaking tub and separate shower.

Two additional upstairs bedrooms—one with a king bed and one with a queen bed—share a full bathroom.

The main level offers a spacious, well-appointed kitchen with bar seating, a dining area for gathering, and a comfortable living room with a smart TV. Step outside to the expansive deck overlooking Grand and Shadow Mountain Lakes, complete with a propane fire table, ample seating, and a BBQ grill—perfect for sunsets and evenings outdoors.

Lower Level Fun & Relaxation:

A large bunk room includes two queen-over-queen bunk beds (four queen beds total) and is paired with another full bathroom—ideal for groups and families.

Winter Access: AWD/4WD or FWD with chains is strongly recommended during winter months due to a steep driveway that may become icy.

Good amount of space. Kitchen could have been outfitted better. We’re very familiar with owning rentals and aluminum foil and plastic wrap and a coffee grinder are basic needs that were not provided in this rental. Upper bunk beds for kids were not safe. No safety railing on top bunks so they couldn’t be used. Condition of house was good. Views were amazing. Value for the money was just average…we’d give it a 5/10.

No propane in firepit, has to use one on grill.Tissue boxes were not full at end. no wash clothes in bathrooms upstairs. sheets smelled like they were not change in king room upstairs not master. dumped trash in public dumpster but did not seeor u derstand where to go not clear but other than housekeeping issues house and owner were great

Perfect in every way!

This house was perfect for my group of 6 adults and 4 teenagers. Plenty of room for everyone. The kids had lots of space to sleep and play on the first level. Very spacious and nicely laid out. The views of the lake and mountains were breathtaking. The location is very convenient to the town. The owners were easy to reach. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but our plans only kept us in Grand Lake for 2 days. I was sorry to leave!

Check in was easy as we used the code to enter the property. The home has an excellent view of both Grand and Shadow Mountain Lakes. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals. The lower floor has a game room with pool table/air hockey combo plus a deck with a hot tub. Walking to town was relatively easy if in reasonable health. Overall a fantastic property.

Easy check-in process. The house was beautiful with picturesque views. It had plenty of space for our big family. It was very clean and in a great location! We especially enjoyed the patio with drinks and games during the day and a fire and smores at night.

This is a beautiful house with a great view and close to town. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen amenities are perfect - lots of dishes, pots and pans and cookware. Everything we needed was available. We were very happy with our accommodations!

Great Stay at a Beautiful Property with a Steep Icy Hill

We had a great family weekend. The property was amazing and the views of Shadow Mountain Reservoir were amazing. The steep hill up to the house was noted in the description, but I think it could've been emphasized more. Good snow tires have gotten me throw a lot of mountain driving in winter, but they were not enough for this hill, and I ended up running my van into the drainage ditch on the side of the hill. While neighbors said this was about the iciest they've seen it in 20 years, that didn't mean that the tow and repairs weren't inconvenient. None of this was the host's fault; in fact while we figured our situation out she was so gracious as to say we could stay another night free of charge. While we didn't stay another night, we did take her up on late checkout as I had to get my van to a shop in Granby to get it assessed. Despite the car incident, we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this property. Great proximity to downtown Grand Lake, the city tubing hill, the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Grand Lake Nordic Center and golf course. Even if you have AWD, I would still recommend chains, and even at that we saw a truck with chains barely make it up the hill.
