We have spent here 3 nights and it is a very good hotel. Main looby is huge, there is a lot of gold and marble with three glass lifts in the middle giving you panoramic view. Feels like place from Dynasty and you expect to see Blake Carrington or Alexis any minute. If you like such style - great. You will not get local atmosphere here, this hotel could be placed anywhene; Scandinavia, Germany or Portugal. However if you look for a good place to stay you will not be disappointed. Huge lobby makes you expect huge room; well, not exactly but room is fair size and very clean. It is really very good hotel; it doesn't have a "wow" factor but gives you all that you need. The only disappointment was staff at reception desk. We have asked for directions and help in navigation through the city but guy who was working there wasn't really interested. All he said was " yeah; you can take a bus" and that was it. Fortunately old town is just 10 minutes away. Anyway, this hotel will not let you down, it ticks all basic boxes and is a solid base to explore Granada.
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel about 4 weeks ago.The hotel, despite its name is not in the centre of the city and is a 10+ minute walk to there. While the hotel might bill itself as a 4-star hotel, it struggles to make that grade. This is not to say that the hotel is poor, but the decor needs an overhaul. The hotel room was clean and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, but unexceptional. Talk from the next door room was audible. For the price, something closer to town might be preferred.
We stayed just one night on business, the staff were very friendly. The room though dated in decor had a very large comfortable bed with cotton linen and a well stocked bathroom with large bath towels, It was also very clean. The mini bar item were very expensive. WiFi was good as was the TV but with just the regular foreign channels. In house parking was expensive, to be expected. Nice cafe in reception area.
The hotel is clean and very spacious, staff speaks good English. Room rates are very competitive and the hotel offers parking at 15 euro per day. The city center is 10 minutes walking distance, a safe and interesting walk. We highly recommend this hotel.
The name sugests that this hotel is central, it is not. The room was okay but the bathroom was in need of updating. The WiFi signal was terrible and we were told it was because the system was being changed. Not enough restaurants nearby.
Our welcome was warm and friendly, Xavier the conceirge was so helpful with directions to restuarants, attractions etc. Breakfast (extra cost) was good value and there was an extensive choice of continental foods and would suit almost everyone, unless you have specific needs e.g. gluten free. The room was spacious, the ensuite bathroom was well fitted but could do with somewhere to hang the towels. Air conditioning was vital as it was hot, but was not as effective as we would have liked (turned off during the night). Public spaces were pleasant and cleverly designed for a city centre hotel, keeping out the traffic noise. Situated in the University quarter, it was convenient for the old city, 15 minutes walking.
The Hotel Granada Center is now called Hoteles Granada. It must have been bought out and is now part of a larger hotel group in Spain. I took the bus to Granada and the hotel is 1000 meters from the bus station, so I was able to walk there. However, the hotel is not within the city center, which I tend to prefer because you're amongst all the tourists. It's about a 20 minute walk into the city center, so if you don't mind that, the location of this hotel may be just right. I walked about 40 minutes to the Alhambra up the hills from the hotel. I would not recommend that unless you are really looking to get some exercise. Taxi's seem pretty cheap in Granada, it was 9€ from the Alhambra back to the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located near the city center. It features clean rooms, good restaurant and bar, and friendly staff. It offers good value for money, especially if you are travelling on budget.
A very comfortable hotel with a very good breakfast and such pleasant and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay here. However, it is not very close to the center. It is about a 10/15 minute walk to the center where all the action is. If you have a few days I would advice staying close to the center - However , if you prefer to be out of all the action - but still a few minutes walk away I would highly recommend this hotel. Once again I cannot say enough about the great staff!!!!
We stayed there one night whilst visiting Granada. The lady Mar at reception was wonderful and helpful. Hotel, though it needs a bit of updating was lovely. Room clean and airy with comfortable beds. Parked car in the underground car park and a very nice gentleman brought it out to the front of hotel when we were leaving. Only gripe was the dreadful service at the terrace bar - but wait we didn't receive any service despite going in and asking for drinks and waiting 10 minutes. Thank God we weren't desperate for a drink - we left. Easy 15 minute walking to the center and would definitely stay there again.
