The rooms are quite nice and large. The breakfast is wonderfull and the staff very friendly and helpful. The street outside can be noisy, so don't come here if you like your room to be very quite. The only minus: when we arrived our bathroom floor was dirty and though housekeeping came by everyday, it never got cleaned.
My husband & I booked this hotel for the Marathon weekend on 21st January as it had been recommended as 1 of the best hotels for the event. We arrived on Friday 19th January & checked out on Monday 22nd January. We were very impressed with this hotel. It is located right in the city centre. You can get to the port easily within 5-10 mins by foot and the beach on the other side within 10-15 mins. For the Marathon it took about 25 minutes to walk to the start of the race which was a nice walk up to get blood pumping in the legs so suited us both very well for that. The hotel is opposite a big shopping centre and there are lots of shops, restaurants and nice bars very close by. In the evenings we had no shortage of fabulous restaurants within a few minutes walk. Regarding the hotel itself it is nicely presented on the outside. The reception service is good/staff friendly and you do not have to wait long to see somebody. Our room was on the first floor. We paid a bit extra for the room but it was massive & had an exercise bike in it- nice touch & my husband enjoyed using it. The bathroom was fabulous and looked stunning. The shower was terrific- really powerful & hot. Plentiful complimentary toiletries. There is a bottle of shower gel attached to the room wall which the maid re-fills. They also provide complimentary water and replace this daily which was great. We had a fridge in our room & the bed was really comfortable. The only slight negative was there was no air con in our room & if you opened the window the noise from outside was very loud. You could just hear very noisy mopeds whizzing down the road- that horrid screeching noise. The hotel has a small gym on 7th floor as well as a roof top hot tub and a sauna. You have to go up some outside steps to the top. My husband is scared of heights so wasn't oo keen on that. Was fabulous using the tub after the race -very relaxing. Tip with the sauna- is often turned off so if you want to use it go up & switch it on a hour before you want to use it to make sure it's hot enough. There are male & female showers by the gym with complimentary toiletries. You cal also hire a towel from reception which they charge to your room bill if you don't return but not if you do give it back so is fine. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. fresh fruit, different juices, very nice cooked food, really fresh. Freshly cooked pancakes, a beautiful selection of pastries which were really good. A nutella machine-wow!! Loved that! Hot drink machine- the coffee was great & lots of ingredients to produce your own milkshakes which I also did. Lots of beautiful fresh bread, hams & cheeses. We really enjoyed our breakfasts there everyday is 1 of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel . The food was very fresh & absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel & feel it is worthy of it's 4 stars!. Thank you for making our stay great 'Hotel Fataga'.
I stayed here with my husband for four nights on a winter sun city break. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. The bedroom/ bathroom was very clean and spacious, but we found the decor somewhat austere. It would benefit from some extra furnishings and perhaps paintings/prints on the walls. The bed was comfortable and shower excellent. The breakfast buffet was very good, with plenty of choice and kept replenished. It is well located in the commercial centre and an easy walk to Las Canteras beach. The rooftop jacuzzi/ seating area was a welcome place to sit after a long days walking. All in all we enjoyed our stay here and round be happy to recommend it.
An unexpected stay at this very pleasant hotel. Sadly my parents were medically disembarked from their cruise ship. My father was taken to a local hospital in Las Palmas and my 86 year old disabled mother was transferred to The Fataga Hotel. I joined her two days later to care for her and visit my sick father. Priscila on reception was absolutely amazing, a real star ⭐️ She was always welcoming, happy to chat and helped me with all my correspondence to the insurance company. Her English was excellent and what a delightful lady. A real credit to the hotel and my stay definitely wouldn’t have been the same without her! “Thank you Priscila” The hotel is a stones throw away from the main shops, supermarkets, restaurants and beach. Rather noisy but our room 205 was airy with clean towels, daily water and air con. The breakfast restaurant offered a great variety and Frank in food and beverage remembered my chamomile tea every morning, helped my disabled mother up and down the steps.he was totally charming, very smart and polite. ‘Nestor cafe’ adjoined to the hotel offers delicious apple cake (which my mother had every day) as well as light snacks, beverages etc. Very friendly staff especially Miriam and Daisy who always gave service with a smile, again Was helpful with my mother and regularly asked after my father. All in all, although not a holiday or hotel of my choice it managed all my needs with a warm and friendly service.
Hotel was well situated only 10 minutes walk to Canteras beach and Calle Sagasta. Was quite noisy from outside traffic on Tuesday morning. The room had no air con so the window had to stay open. No Balcony to step out onto. The beds were comfortable and we had to push them together as there were no doubles available. Breakfast was included and it was nice and enough. Good choice of the usual suspects. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy too. We ventured up to the roof garden, it was ok, but I cant imagine spending too long up there tbh. The car park was a national run group one. A bit like NCP here. It cost us 11 euros per day as the hotel had an agreement with the company. Make sure that you get the plastic card from the car park, otherwise it could be extremely expensive.
All the staff went out of their way to ensure that your stay was as enjoyable as possible and that you wanted for nothing. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional in the rooms and the public areas. Rooms were a good size and had everything that you needed. The breakfast had something for everyone and was a good way to start your day. Well located to get to anywhere in the city. A holiday that we really enoyed and a hotel that we would have no hesitation about going back to. Although not an issue it would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room. There are a lot of restaurants with various menus within easy walking distance and the beach was 10 to 15 minutes which was excellent and also had a lot of places to eat. The sightseeing bus is an excellent way to get your bearings and layout of the city.
Perfect place for a business trip, it is located in front of the mercado central and one block from Mesa YLopez where you can find El Corte Ingles and several stores. You can book a conference room, they have several. Great staff.
Very friendly staff, spacious rooms and a wonderful jacuzzi. Delicious breakfast and very friendly cleaning service. Perfect central location. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Close to all stores and also a small walk away from the beach.
my wife and i stayed at this hotel in feb for 10 nights we found the staff so nice our room was 317 its was very clean fresh towels and water every day its was on the front of the hotel so you could hear all the noise from outside we could not change room as the hotel was full however the breakfast room serves a great buffet breakfast all fresh food staff all goodasond nice in the restaurant it is only 10 mins walk to the beach esther the general manager is so nice they also have a great lounge up on the 7th floor where you can relax and sunbade this a fab hotel and will be back in sept thanks to all
The location of this hotel is fantastic, sits in the central of the shopping area. The market is across the street where you can get everything. It was clean, the room was big even with two single beds and two roll out beds we required there was still much space to move around. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was included too. Great selection. Don't expect much from the wifi as it was pretty weak at some areas of the room. Aircon was a little warm especially during the summer. There was no coffee machine in the room either. So you'd have to buy your own water for the room. But all in all worth the money.
