Nice hotel in las Palmas with a nice terrace on the beach with very friendly staff ...and with a view..daytime and sunset...Easy acces to restaurant.... and super market....And taxis available outside 24/7

Great location by the ocean and the long promenadeby the sea. Walking distance to bus stop and shops. Also to the harbour. Our room was at the top with balcony overlooking the ocean and some surrondings. Breakfast good, just missed fresh vegetables. Very friendly staff. Lots of restaurants and bars along the promenade.

The hotel itself was very clean and well kept. Did not have any disturbance or problems. The room was very spacious (224) on the second floor and we were kindly given a sea view room overlooking Playa de Las Canteras by receptionist Daniel. They have a Spa (Spa Kinesia) located on the ground floor with a hydrotherapy pool that guests can use for a discounted price of 9 euros. During our stay, we visited Palmitos Park and Aqualand and were helped by reception to get there from the hotel to Maspalomas. Had a lovely holiday in Gran Canaria and would definitely use this hotel again in the future. All staff and housekeepers were very friendly and hospitable.

Had an excellent large sized room with sea view - breakfast taken in restaurant was excellent - staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful, but some lacked adequate knowledge of English - totally inadequate parking facilities and if one wants to explore Gran Canaria by car - this is not the hotel - fairly close to local bus routes and some long distant routes - no details of excursions seemed to be available - perhaps we were too early in the season - ideal for walks along to promenade or just watch the world go by.

After reading the opinions here, I expected it to be a pure tragedy. Which it wasn't. I admit it's probably not exactly 4 star hotel, but it's not that bad. The view is amazing, since it;s just by the ocean (attention light sleepers- the waves WILL wake you up probably, so take ear plugs). Staff is nice and helpful, not sure about the spa (at the time we were there, sauna and swimming pool were closed, and you would need to pay for them anyway). Breakfast was very tasty.

Just returned from a 7 day break in the hotel. I have travelled all over the world and this hotel is no different in standard or ammenities to others in the price range anywhere.Room very good (509) and brilliant reception staff who advised on bus routes and restaurants. A great buffet breakfast really sets you up for the day. All in all a great experience with a taxi rank right outside for our return to the airport. I would cetainly consider staying there again.I am of the opinion that other reviews are either extremely harsh or totally incorrect, so delighted to share my honest opinion of the establishment.

We have been to this hotel many times and because of the room 601 we will not return. We asked about another room but is even worse if at all possible. I don't understand how this hotel can be a 4 star rating more like a 2 star. The only good thing about this is the location. We stayed out most of the day to avoid going back to the room. Had to buy ear plugs as the noise at night was horrendous. Never again

We booked the hotel due to its location and seaview. The room didn't have any seaview, and in order to get a room with seaview they would charge 35 euro extra per night. There is no outdoor pool which is a big minus. The hotel is expensive in relation to what it has to offer. Breakfast not included and was mediocre. Nice view though for breakfast. Wouldnt recommend the hotel for those that want a nice quiet relaxing vacation with sun and bathing.

This hotel sells extremly overpriced rooms with a view into a wall...it is like cheati ng people when they market seaview..they do not see it them self ...only look at the short term income....stay away

We booked on line and selected a double bed room. First surprise, according to the manageress on arrival they only have twin rooms. If so why do bookings.com ask you to choose twin or double? The horror now follows. They authorise your debit card before arrival, that's ok but in our case, they took the full amount and then refunded it so we could pay on arrival. Sounds good but oh no, the refund appeared in our account 1 day before the payment and, as a result the two transactions didn't cancel each other out and I had to pay my bank nearly £20 for 2 overseas payments and the difference in exchange rates. Bearing in mind I still needed to pay the hotel before leaving and would therefore incur another £20 of charges I took up the matter with the manageress. Big mistake, she refused to see the error that her bank had made in the timings of checking the validity of out cheque card and although I politely offered to settle the bill less the sums I had already suffered as a result of their or their banks fault she was not prepared to negotiate and threatened to call the police if I paid the bill less the unnecessary charges incurred. In my opinion, she was very aggressive, a trait we had noticed in the way she took over from her colleague when we first arrived. In view of our difficulties I copied e mails to her head office and thankfully they must have told her to be reasonable and as a result we left and paid our bill in cash less the disputed sum. The argument with the manageress has undoubtedly spoiled our stay. Would we stay again? Well the hotel is ideally situated the other staff are friendly but after our experience, I don't think so and why pay good money to be treated the way we were? Other travellers be very wary!!!
