I can only recommend staying at Apartmentos Las Gondolas when visiting Gran Canaria. We stayed here for a week at the end of June with family. The location of the hotel is perfect, the beach and restaurants are only 2 minutes walk, there is a big supermarket just across the road, Yumbo shopping centre is 10 minutes walk and all the apartments are overlooking the ocean. The staff was excellent, Maxi the receptionist went above and beyond to make us feel welcome at Las Gondolas. He has learnt our names upon arrival and called us by our first names throughout the holiday. He advised us what places are worth to visit, greeted us with a big genuine smile and engaged in small conversations with us every time we walked past reception. Thank you for your excellent hospitality Maxi. :-) We received a bottle of wine and an additional bottle of champagne on arrival. The room was very clean but basic, and it was cleaned almost every day. The only downside might be that there was no air conditioning, however it never felt unbearably hot inside. We also rented a car and used the parking space in front of the hotel, however bear in mind that you can only use it Monday to Friday as most of the owners of the apartments usually stay here on the weekends and use up all the parking spaces. We were charged 20euros for 5days and it was easy to find a free parking for the weekend a bit further up the road. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay, and me and my family would not hesitate for a minute to return to Las Gondolas when visiting Gran Canaria again.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Gran Canaria - great location (only 5 minute walk to the beach and strip of shops/restaurants), very friendly staff and clean. The staff helped suggest things to do in Gran Canaria (e.g. camel riding, boat trips) and the apartment was equipped with pots/pans/dishes etc. The elevators weren't very big and the pool wasn't the biggest but was a great week there overall.

Never been to Gran Canaria before and read some negative reviews on here. I have to say they are totally unfounded - we booked through 'on the beach' (again new for us) and from the minute we booked to the minute we arrived it went smoothly. We flew from Gatwick and booked Valet Parking so just walked across to S Terminal. Checked our bags in ourselves and although plane was slightly delayed Norwegian Airline kept us fully informed. On arrival we were met by our private taxi (best option as they can drop you right outside the hotel whereas coaches are not allowed) - Approx 30 mins transfer. On arrival reception was really helpful, couldn't do enough - highly recommend. Really clean. Apartments done daily - I saw people moaned due to lack of oven etc but a 3 min walk away are approximately 50 restaurants. We were approx 3 min walk from the beach and restaurants and shops. I was a bit concerned as it said pool was on 6th floor but what a sun trap and no sunbed hogging. Across the road is a supermarket that has absolutely everything we needed including really helpful staff. We have had a fantastic time here and can't wait to get back. I will say that you can't control other humans - we all have our limits and what is acceptable but Apartments Las Gondalas should be at least a 4 star in my opinion 😀

We, I and my family stayed at the Las Gondolas for a week in last January. The location is perfect with a 1 min walk to the beach and restaurants. Hygine is perfect and the view is great. Maxi and his crew at the lobby were fantastic, willing to do everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. When im traveling back to gran Canaria i will indeed look for an apartment at Las Gondolas!

Sometimes the say ' it is all about the location' well this appartment is located near the beach and at walking distance from the Yumbo Centre. The staff is friendly. The appartment is a little bit old but clean. There is a swimmingpool at the 6st floor and a sunroof at the top. The breakfast is at sahara playa hotel, it is located next to the appartment complex. Breakfast quality is good! :) With the 2 stars this appartment it is very good.

We have booked a two bed apartment in this place for 5 people. Apartments are not very big, but it was enough to fit 5 people easily. The accommodation is provided with everything you need (a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, cutlery, tv etc.). The reception staff was very friendly and they speak perfect English. On our last day, even if we had checked out at about 11am, they've allowed us to use the swimming pool for the rest of the day until the time of our flights, Furthermore, they have provided us with the key to the shower near the pool to wash and fresh clean towels to use afterwards. Even though we have been quite loud in the apartment and several neighbours have complaint about noise from our rooms, the staff was very understanding and we had a very polite conversation which sorted out the issue. I take this opportunity to thank the staff from Las Gondolas who made our stay very pleasant. We would definitely go there a second time should we have the chance.

got back today after a week in these apartments joining family who do not live near us. we had two apartments one on the second floor and one on floor 5. Would recommend the higher floor as the views were better also the noise from the road was less. So yes there is noise from the road that runs past, but not enough to spoil the break. These apartments were mostly used by families of all nationalities and were quiet at night with a rule of no talking after 10pm which was a bit of an issue for us as a family who had met up and wanted to sit on the second floor balcony with a drink once the children were in bed, we were just chatting and were asked by reception to be quiet as people had complained that we were preventing them from sleeping. The apartment was well enough equipped with a kitchen, lounge bathroom and two bedrooms. All rooms have a balcony with a drying rack for towels etc., you can get beach or pool towels from reception for a deposit a bonus when weight in cases is an issue. There is a large supermarket a few strides away that sold everything you could want. The swimming pool was adequate for the size of the building and there was also a roof terrace that was set up as a solarium. A right hand turn from the hotel and a 3 min walk to the beach and all the eateries and bars you could wish for or turn left out of the hotel and walk up the hill to a large shopping and eating area, so lots of choice. The beach is massive with the Maspalomas dunes to the right.

The location of these apartments is perfect; just 100 metres to the beach and a supermarket across the road. The apartments are not really spacious, but large enough for 3-4 people. The beds are comfortable and the shower is firm. The kitchen is very basic. There is hardly any cutlery and in most of the apartments there is just a small stove. No oven, dish washer or what so ever. The swimming pool on the 6th floor is large enough and there are enough sunbeds. WiFi is only strong at the reception. Don't buy the WiFi in the room.

I have no negatives about these apartments. They are located about 100metres from the beach front which is ideal. We had a 2 bedroom self catering apartment which was perfect for our family of four. The living room was of a decent size and the TV was flat screen with one UK channel but it did have an HDMI port if you wanted to plug in laptop etc.We opted to pay 45 euros for TV,safe and Wi-Fi in the room. The signal strength of Wi-Fi was sufficient to update Facebook and keep in touch with Messenger. I labour on these points as we did spend the majority of our time out and about but we being Scottish need some shade during the day and evening. The staff were very helpful with directions, phoning taxi companies etc.We booked a Catamaran trip via hotel for family of four it cost us a 120 euros . That may seem a lot but we were out from 9am until or return at 1630 so a full day. We got directions for boat trip and it was a 10 minute walk to another hotel. Then the bus stopped for us as I shouted across to the rep "dolphin trip" we then spent an enjoyable 45mins touring the other hotels in the area which me and the wife enjoy as you are getting a free tour. As said catamaran trip was great well worth the cost. Aqua land cost 100 euros great park but not worth £100.We also visited Crocodillo park 33 euros entry fee very good value for money. Once again got great directions from hotel staff to another hotel bus pick up. Bus was running a tad late and only runs tue and Thursday but it was a sunny day so we waited the extra 10 minutes. Crocodillo park is well worth a visit. We also spent loads of time at the apartment pool which was never to busy. The beach at Playa del Ingles was fantastic busy but not overly busy. We walked from Playa del ingles to Maspalomas took us just under 2 hours and it was fantastic we just looked straight ahead passing the nudist beaches and it was all very respectable even for us conservative brits. We then had a late lunch in Maspalomas and then a 6 euro taxi back to Las gondalas apartments. We also pre booked moonlight cinema in Maspalomas a great night. I feel I need to mention the locals whether they were selling sun glasses ,offering massages on the beach, bar/restaurant staff, hotel staff or the locals they were just so friendly and were not pushy in the least which is a refreshing change. So glad to report this is as we had been to AL Cudia previously and we found the hard sell in that resort really annoying.

Currently staying here and thoroughly impressed with the apartments, staff and location. Our apartment is beautiful, it seems like new. Refurbished with a lovely modern feel, all spruced up. The bathroom is out of this world, huge shower and smart decor. The view is amazing, definitely recommend room 601. A lovely bottle of wine gift awaited too. The staff are so friendly, the cleaners are lovely and the maintenance man rescued my daughter's rubber ring without us realising as he'd seen it with us and knew it was ours. Such a kind thing to do. Can't fault Las Gondolas. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you all at Las Gondolas for making our holiday even more enjoyable..... and we haven't finished yet!
