Room was very run down and needed to be painted badly. Bathroom wasn’t too bad. The water pressure was good. No hot water to the basin. The carpets up the stairs were dirty and needed to be vacuumed and cleaned. Cutlery looked old and well used. From the outside it looked great until you got inside.

No hot water in our room, dishes were not cleaned properly when we arrived, and no-one at reception to speak to about our concerns when checking out. Keys to a lot of rooms all just scattered on the front desk when we left so I gather there wasn't anyone on duty all morning.

Arrived at check-in and there was nobody in reception, except an irate guest who had been kept waiting. When staff finally arrived after multiple 'translated' phone calls they did not speak english, at which point the other guest became very aggressive. The staff retreated into a locked office, saving themselves and leaving me in the lobby to fend off the violent guest until police arrived and restrained him. Absolutely appauling service and complete disregard for my safety leaving me alone in this dangerous situation! And after all that that my key did not work! All up, after making police statements, and more calls to obtain a working key, it took me 2hrs to check into my room. No compensation was given and no-one answered the phone to discuss it. I want a refund!

There was no mention about renovations n with people that were leaving noisily, having no respect for anyone else trying to sleep. Every hour. They took money out on the day before I got there? Very underwhelming and very basic accomodation.

Quiet area and that is the best aspect. Toilet seat broken and it was obvious that this had been broken for a long time. Toilet had not been cleaned. Soap dish in shower had not been cleaned for some time. Lights in bedroom did not work. Not able too read in bed.

Travelling through the night from Queensland to Melbourne we were in desperate need of sleep as it was 11.00pm and we had been driving all day and were extremely tired. Unfortunately, I hadn’t read the reviews before booking but tried to stay optimistic before arrival. When we got there there was a weird smell and I jokingly said to my 14 year old daughter, while pulling the bedspread back, see no bedbugs. As I said this a cockroach ran out from inside the bedsheets to greet me - possibly trying to keep the bed warm for us. All jokes aside - I told my daughter and husband not to get under the covers as there might be something else in there and we put towels over the pillow cases 😩. There was another cockroach running around the bench, also some on the floor. Although I do like watching Oggy and the Cockroaches - I didn’t particularly enjoy their antics of (a) Oggy keeping the bed warm for us and (b) his many mischievous friends running around the floor and walls. At approximately 2.45am in the morning there were people outside our unit saying “Should we just knock on the door”, I then heard knocking and luckily it wasn’t our unit 😮. My husband woke up at about 3.30am in the morning to go to the toilet which then woke my 14 year old daughter. When she woke she said mum can we go as this place is gross. I said we have to wait a bit longer to which my husband said, “I want to go too as this place is creeping me out”. We hastily sped off at 4.00am in the morning 😷
