Relaxing atmosphere, very friendly staff, lovely service and a great food experience making your stay feel like HOME! Thank you guys for making our stay so welcome and so kind! Thank you & tack ska ni ha :-)

We stayed at the Hotel Odin on May 5 and 6. We were delighted with the size and comfort of our room and the bathroom. The hotel is ideally located, a very short distance from the main railroad station and a short distance from the heart of the city. Breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed the dinner. In addition to the main course (both of which were delicious on the nights we stayed) there were a very nice selections of sides. We found the staff to be courteous, helpful, and really warm. I would recommend this hotel for any stay in the lovely city of Gothenburg.

Close to city centre. Evening meal included but could be more choice. Helpful staff. Good breakfast but not as much choice at the weekend. I missed having waffles! Environmentally friendly, which is important.

Had yet a great stay but this time it was with my 15 year old brother! This will probably be the only hotel I will stay at when I come and visit Gothenburg. The best things about the hotel is that it's close to all the things I like to do here, included meals and the service minded staff. Another nice thing is that you can work out for free at the gym on the 1st floor, you just have to talk to the people at the front desk and they'll give you a card(havent used it yet but if I would stay longer I probably would!)

Situated just round the corner from the train and bus station and major tram stop the hotel is very convenient. The park/gardens diagonally opposite is another bonus and is a nice place to have a stroll and maybe a coffee and cake. The bedrooms are fine and typically Swedish, bed table chair sofa rug mirror with nondescript wall colour of sludge grey/ brown but probably called evening mushroom or taupe. Bathroom fine and good shower the only criticism would be that the towels are a bit small or maybe I'm too tall. There's a good vibe in the main room on the second floor which houses reception bar lounge and dining room. Tea coffee and water are on tap here all day. Buffet breakfasts are good with scrambled eggs and bacon or a vast spread of cold meats and cheeses, vats of yogurt and loads of different breads. However as a newly diagnosed coeliac, and belive me there is nothing worse than one of these except perhaps a reformed smoker, there was a gluten free cereal and rolls everyday. There is only one choice main course for the buffet dinner each night. This could be either cod, pork or chicken with various bowls of salady things. There is soup to start and cheese or pudding. Just let chef know if you can't eat gluten as she is brilliant. The food was really good for mass catering and was part of the nightly tariff. The hotel is nice and quiet and I never once heard a car, train or Friday night drunk. The few staff are really friendly and helpful.

Super large and luxurious room. Bed was so comfortable with twin duvets and soft pillows. Even though our room overlooked the train yard, you couldn't hear a single sound from outside. If only other hotels could somehow discover such soundproofing. The free dinner was an unexpected bonus and made life easier after a long travel day.

I have been a frequent guest at this Hotell for years and NEVER been anything but extremly pleased. The staff is the best, they truly LOVE people and service. And as a guest, they always make me so happy. Rooms are spotless, big and have a scandinavian design palete. Breakfast and evening meal are included in the rate and are always best quality and flavorful. Location couldent be better, super central. Overal great value !!!

I had a short visit to Gothenburg and needed a reasonable priced hotel, but with facilities to work without sitting on my bed. Clarion Hotel Odin was in many ways a good choice, but definitely with its ups and downs. I have been there before, but it’s quite some time since the last visit. Driving up to the front door there was a 10 minute parking available. The board inside said that the Reception was on floor up, but I counted two floors. I was issued a code for the parking garage plus the key to the room. I also ordered a wake-up call at 5:15 and a Breakfast-to-Go. Getting into the parking garage was easy, but finding my way to the door to the hotel was a lot more challenging once down there. There were two signs in the ceiling – I spotted the one, but missed the other. The door was in an unlit part of the garage and undistinguishable from several other doors – I was guided by the next man coming in. The elevator (with clear floor signs) took me straight to my floor, the corridors are light, but one can hardly call them inviting. The room – on the other hand - was very spacious and nice looking with a separate kitchenette and good working space. But no internet code to connect. A trip to the reception and the problem was solved. Later in the evening I also enjoyed a small supper; very tasteful and nice chicken casserole. I had a late shower, just to find that there were no towels. The hairdryer did turned out to work fine, the bed was superb, and I slept like a baby. I woke at five got dressed – and noticed a red blinking light on the phone at 5:15, but it disappeared before I got there. No messages. Upon checkout at 5:30, the receptionist was happy to see me, apparently he had tried to call me, but my phone had no ringing tone. The breakfast bag was fine, and I could hit the road on time. In summary: some ups like a nice room, a good bed and a nice supper and very friendly staff. Some downs like missing information boards/ marking, hick-ups (internet code and towels) and finally a non-ringing phone. It leaves this traveler with a mixed impression. Would I try it again? Probably – just out of curiosity. And you do get value for money. Would I recommend it to friends? Not yet.

A 3 star hotel with inconsistent service depending who is on duty. Waching and training possibilities. Not to far from the central station Dinner and afternoon coffe are included in the price. A hotel that is good for a quick stay and if youre not looking for good service - then this is a hotel for you

Stayed here for one night. The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the Train/Bus station. It's in a good location to explore the city. Staff were friendly and welcoming & the room was clean and fairly large for Europe. The organization of the hotel is a bit odd because the hotel is in a building that has other uses but I have seen that before and it really isn't an issue. It's just different from what we might be used to in the U.S. Breakfast and dinner were good. It was kind of odd that the meals were located in the lobby/common area but the hotel can't really help that. Overall, I thought it was a good hotel at a very good price and I would definitely stay here again if I were ever to return to the city.
