Super fresh and very big rooms. Cleaning isn't handled the best, we stayed 4 nights and didn't get our room cleaned once. They said that they can't clean rooms if you're in them when the cleaning lady comes but they weren't willing to come back if you said it wasn't a good time since "they have too much to do". Otherwise, the room held a very comfortable kitchenette, a bathroom with a big shower and big windows. In the morning they serve a very broad and classic breakfast with many options and fresh fruit. The "afternoon sweet" was everything else but sweet. They served the same small and dry blueberrycake at least three days in a row. The coffee was boring and simple and they also had some tea and cold water. They also served an evening meal with a different menu for each day of the week. The food wasn't anything to hype over but if you feel the need to fill your stomach, it's a very good option. You could also buy some extra food and drinks. The reception and the staff were very helpful and kind. They had free toothpaste, advil etc plus a very overpriced little boutique for snacks etc. There is a Grocery store 10 min from the hotel entry, so it was easy to shop for food. The best thing was the location. We lived close to the Central train station and also very close to Nordstan and NK - where you could find restaurants, shopping and busses that go all the way around town. The gym here was very good, fresh and big. A great way to start the day! The Wifi sucked 90% of the time, but it was available. Overall, the hotel was big and spacious, the staff were kind and the hotel was very close to everything. It isn't a very luxurious hotel, but it was a great option!
We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were well above average size and very clean. A bonus was that we had both a refrigerator and kettle which is unusual for most Europe hotels. We had breakfast included but were pleasantly surprised to find we also could have a complimentary buffet for dinner as well. They even accommodated for food allergies. Also close to the main station and a major shopping centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay.
Excellent organised hotel; excellent price-performance ratio; nice location, very nice staff; Evening meal was also very good; I know that is probably not possible, but the only thing that could be better is to reduce the noise of the ventilators (for the whole building) at the terrace, so you could open the window at night.
We recently stayed in this hotel in a luxury room with a bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom. The location was excellent and right near the central station and Nordstan shopping centre with all trams stopping nearby. This hotel works out better value for money than most others because afternoon tea and evening meal was included in the price of the room. However, beware that the vegetarian option in the evening is very limited, mostly consisting of a soup. The rooms were quiet and comfortable although daily cleaning could be better. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others wanting to stay in central Gothenburg.
Super nice and helpful staff and comfortable rooms. The supper and breakfast are great! I love staying here when I come to visit Gothenburg. It's really close to the station so you don't have to walk that far to get here.
We stayed in a superior double room which had the advantage of a kitchenette and seating area which made all the difference for a longer stay. Our room opened to the outside and I would recommend you ask for this ( some open into the atrium which would feel a bit claustrophobic to me). There's a supermarket on the ground floor so you can stock your kitchen and get some teabags which will be your best chance of a decent cup of tea if you are a Brit visiting Sweden! Breakfast is excellent and varied. The evening meal is a set dish plus salad soup and bread. If you have special dietary requirements I suggest you contact them in advance as a lot of the food is prepared in advance and the first couple of nights they had a struggle accommodating my husband. They were very willing but just didn't have alternatives available. The staff are all very cheerful and pleasant and those on reception speak excellent English. The situation is very central and convenient for public transport. Considering how central it is it's fairly quiet though, with the window open you can hear noise from the railway and station announcements. Our only major disappointment was that the roof terrace which is advertised on the website was not available. It would have added something to our stay if we could have sat out there when we came in from sightseeing. The alternative place to sit outside was the courtyard behind the hotel which, being between tall buildings, was very dark.
Lovely hotel. Enjoyable stay. The best possible breakfast: several kinds of herring (you are in Sweden), soft- and hard-boiled eggs, omelette, meats, cheeses, very good farm chees, pancakes, you make waffles too, etc. Huge room with full kitchen and big fridge, nice bathroom and shower, bead, coach and chairs. Supermarket literary next door. We opted for stay with evening meal. And it was a very good decision. Tasty meals, homemade bread, etc. Hotel itself is very close to Central Station and Bus Terminal (easy walking distance) and historic centre of the town. Big shopping mall – Nordstan – is also close (just pass Central Station). It includes Systembolaget. Although for beer you can go into Supermarket (described above). We would stay in this hotel if/when we come to Goteborg (Gothenburg) again… and again … and again.
This hotel is good enough, but nothing special. The staff is friendly and helpful but this place lacks in personality. The rooms are clean and neat, but small and the decor is bland - you don't feel "at home" here. The food is good, but not amazing. The location is great though, close to the train station and the city center. All in all a good experience, just not a great one.
Good quality accommodation and very helpful staff. If staying for more than couple of nights there's not much wardrobe space to hang clothes etc. The room rate increased from 1700kr to 2900kr for each of two nights when Coldplay were playing nearby! An increase was to be expected but not by that exorbitant amount.
Relaxing atmosphere, very friendly staff, lovely service and a great food experience making your stay feel like HOME! Thank you guys for making our stay so welcome and so kind! Thank you & tack ska ni ha :-)
