Quality Inn Heritage On Lydiard

This venue is accessible and in a convenient spot with car park and close to some nice restaurants. The room I got felt small in space and a little vintage but more like my grandma picked that wall design. There was a lot of space for unnecessary items like a couple of tables and chairs in the room and a desk, there was also a very large bathroom, however not much space to make a cup of tea or to do the ironing and such. Check in quick and the lady was friendly however the check in desk is separated from everything else as you go through a car park to get to the lifts that take you to your floor. I rate this venue 3 stars due to: The tv that sticks out of the wall is misaligned with the bed (the tv is to the left side) which I found not so comfortable. Also the bathroom looks just like a disabled bathroom with large spaces and bars to hold on to, etc... The ironing board cover was of cheap quality and leaves marks on your shirts... Overall a good venue for a quick visit to Ballarat, however, I wouldn’t book long stays there.

Too expensive for what you get, A lot of dust in the room , beside table cover with dust, now I am sick because of the dust. Aircon was not working properly and the temperature was 37 degrees so the night was horrible to sleep on that heat. The only good thing the staff is friendly and nice. But it is expensive for what we got, I was waiting for something better . I wanted something special for my husband in his b-day but I feel really bad with all this things. I was not expecting that. unfortunately , Never we back to this hotel. I don’t recomend it at all.

We stayed in a heritage room over Easter. The room was split in two with a bathroom hob a seperate installed room splitting the bed from the desk and entry area. The room was clean and tidy and the view over Lydiard St made us feel like we were in a Dr Blake Mysteries episode. There were two lounge chairs in the bed area but it was not a room you could lounge in. The ambience of the room was lovely. I had stayed here before in one of the rooms in the newer section which were more spacious as they are purpose built. I would probably ask for one of these next time. The hotel is well positioned in town. Lovely hosts who make you feel welcome and good parking. Parking can be hard to find as it is down a lane way at back of hotel so ask for instructions when you book.

Stella and the other staff were exceptional!! From the minute we walked in at check in, to the minute we checked out and all our other interactions were friendly, attentive, great local knowledge of things to do and places to eat, it was such a pleasure!! I mentioned briefly whilst booking over the phone that it was my husband and my wedding anniversary and we arrived to our room to a complimentary bottle of wine and the sweetest note wishing us a happy anniversary!! So impressed! Will definitely stay here again!! Thank you!!

We stayed here for a night on our visit to Ballart and found this place to be wonderful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the stay, even though it was just a single night. If you are travelling by car, suggest you find a parking on the street first and walk upto the reception. The staff will help you in finding the entrance to the hotel parking.

In town for a spur of the moment night away we didn't plan on staying the night till we got to Ballarat. Looking through the places online i came across the Quality Heritage on Lydriard and the word Quality really does describe the rooms. Our room was beautiful the bed was comfy the amenities were well stocked. It was a perfect stay the hotel is central to all restaurants, cafes, cinema's and shops. They offer a private entrance for guests with undercover parking. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming would highly recommend this hotel to anyone couples, families and friends.

We had an impromptu opportunity to visit Ballarat. Booked in to Quality for one night. Trevor and staff were amazing. The rooms are just gorgeous. On leaving Monday morning we checked out and went to breakfast. We came back to fetch the car & I wanted to quickly feed and change our baby girl. No parents room, but the lovely staff allowed me back into our room - no problems. Much appreciated.

I stayed here for business and the rooms are of high quality, excellent bedding, spacious and homely, quiet too. Close to all restaurants, cafes and cinema. Will stay here again and can recoomend it highly.

After paying $260 per night for an apartment style room we arrived late afternoon to check in. The people managing the venue were helpful however it was obvious due to the high noise level in the building that a party was well underway. We were checked in and they advised that the party would finish around 12 o'clock. We had just driven 6 hours for the day, and were expecting to find a quiet place to stay, a nice soak in the bath, find a relaxing place to have ameal close by and early night to bed before driving 3 hours home the next day. This wasn't to be the case! After checking a few room options offered, the noise wasn't any different. Their suggestion was earplugs! After paying out $260 per night for the room, the humour wasn't appreciated. We have stayed at the Astonia just up the road and thought this accomodation would be of similar quality; again this was not the case, so very disappointed. After dinner we came back to our room and the noise level had increased! It was obvious the alcohol had kicked in as the people standing around the back area smoking were obviously drunk. The description of this accomodation venue on the booking sites does not advise they have a leased out function room in the accomodation venue. Apparently it operated at a restaurant in the past. The people managing the apartment complex offered us a free breakfast the next morning which was appreciated. However if you are looking for a quiet place to rest and recuperate, don't book this accomodation venue, try astonia, just up the road, Ballarat premier apartments or Oscars, you will at least receive what you pay for and have an enjoyable night.

I stayed overnight in a standard queen room. I was warmly welcomed at check in. The small foyer was elegantly appointed with heritage staircase and crystal chandelier. My room was in a modern wing attached to the original former bank. Being in the modern wing at the back, it lacked some of the historic charm of the original building, but the mix of the old and new worked quite well. The location is great, right in the heart of Ballarat, amongst the beautiful heritage of Lydiard St. My room was large and overlooked the furnished terrace and plunge pool. The room was luxuriously appointed and well equipped- Mini bar, large flat screen TV., safe, leather sofa etc. I also had a look in a few rooms in the original building and although they were all lovely, they did lack the size and comfort of modern wing. I highly recommend the Quality Inn Heritage on Lydiard!
