The Park Calangute Goa

We stayed a week, finishing up a month long tour of India. Every place we stayed had outstanding service but the young staff at the Park outdid even Kolkata’s Grand. Ea evening they even deliver a taste treat to the room! Good breakfast. The “boutique” hotel could use a little TLC - terrazzo tile missing on the deck here and there, and toilet tile a bit stained, but good WiFi and TV. The only real negative are the bathrobes. One size fits all but that size was way too small for my 5’7” and 173 lbs. Not a big deal.

We came here for the first all the way from Lucknow . We were passing by the hotel. We just entered in the hotel just to see and staff pampered me to stay with them. Very good staff. Spic n span . Nice fragrance all over the hotel. Huge pool with nice music. Good food. Specially they served us bento box. And it was just amazing. We will come back to this hotel.

We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children and stayed for 3 nights, including the New Year's eve. The hotel is located on the Calangute beach and has a beachfront, making it an ideal choice for people who want to enjoy both the beach and the city life. The beach has many shacks, serving food and liquor and has water sports, both of which we enjoyed during our stay. The services of the hotel are good. Priyanka and Narayan made our stay very comfortable. We managed to get a Car on hire, baby sitters and some customised food from the chef for our little ones. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one being an open bar. The breakfast offered on all 3 days had good varieties. It has a gym and swimming pool too. The New Year eve party was decent. We felt the hotel was overpriced but all in all, it's a small, cozy and vibrant one, at a good location, and offering decent services.

This hotel is touching the calangute beach. The back door of the restaurant of this hotel opens up to the beach there. The place has amazing lipsmacking food (the quantity was less though), touches the beach as well as the swimming pool is really cool. And the best part is the pool dining. They provide dining table and chair inside the pool, as they have 2 long platforms to place the tables and chair. Rooms were classy enough but were not spacious and they were not that clean enough. The bathrooms had no latch. They had a good view, food, swimming pool, but i was a bit disappointed by the room. Elsewise place is nice.

I am from Kolkata, where the first hotel of Park Hotels was established in 1967, when Taj Bengal and many other 5 star hotels also did not exist. In my childhood, Oberoi Grand and Park (and also Great Eastern to some extent) were the only luxury hotels in Kolkata. So, I always had a special respect for Park Hotel (though I have never stayed in Park Kolkata). Later, after entering my professional life, I had multiple opportunities of staying at Park Hotel of New Delhi. And my experiences were really good. So, now when there was an opportunity for a visit to Goa, along with my wife, I did not hesitate to book Park Calangute for a stay of 4 nights. Finally, we reached there on an afternoon of November 2017. The hotel is located at a proper location, that means, it is not a deserted area. It is very much a crowded place, which I actually like, but it is not situated right on the main road either. You will find plenty of restaurants and shops around, giving you the feel of a vibrant tourist spot. The first thing we noticed is that the entry of the hotel is very unimpressive. The gate of the hotel is inside a narrow lane, and there is (almost) no parking space. These are certainly not plus points for a reputed hotel. Inside the premises, it is not very specious, still managing to maintain some typical features like a small swimming pool, open air lounge, restaurant, etc. The biggest advantage is that there is an approach way to sea beach directly through the dining hall, and you can safely enjoy sitting on the sea shore till late evening. The room is not spacious at all. More disturbing is the way their bathroom/basin/toilet enclosure is designed. It takes unnecessarily more space, yet uncomfortable. A well designed bathroom would have been more desirable, and it would have increased the size of room also. Plastic made chair in Park Hotel is the last thing that we expected. It gives the feeling of a cheap roadside hotel. Far from the standard of Park Hotel Delhi. Dirty sofa in the reception lounge also does not glorify a hotel. Price appears to be on the higher side (not fully justified). The hotel staff are excellent; at least we got a very good treatment from everyone. Very nice behaviour and always willing to help. We liked the dining space also, and their people in that area were also very nice. The day we went to visit Dudhsagar, we left hotel before 6:30 in the morning, and they prepared breakfast packet for us. Food was very good. The mutton curry was excellent, in particular (in a-la-carte menu). However, I must say that in their buffet spread, the number of veg/non-veg dishes could be more. I am making this comment based on my experiences in many other hotels with nearly similar or even lower rates. Finally, I would like to inform about one specific aspect. During our stay, one group of guests stayed there for a day (may be two days). All the time they were shouting in corridor in drunk condition and they were also playing football with empty bottles of mineral water. The hotel administration should be more careful about this kind of disturbing and uncivilized people. Overall our experience was good. Thanks to their excellent staff.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Our room overlooked the swimming pool area and had a nice balcony. Its a fun sort of place to stay right on the beach. They have pool party's on Sunday a little bit of Ibiza vibe in Goa. Enjoyed the stay so going back February 2018.

Loved the hotel and the view. Had an infant and the chef specially made separate baby food everyday. The staff was very polite. Good ambience. Good food. Clean rooms. Overall a very good and relaxing stay.

We had an awesome experience during our six day stay @ THE Park. To start of the location was excellent just on the beach. Could'nt ask for anything better. Other restaurants, and food outlets way within walking distance. The hospitality was welcoming. Great staff especially Ankush who I will recommend to be kept more customer facing and Shuboo who was great. They knew how to take care of the guests and make an impression. Food was nice would have liked to see more variety maybe options with buffet dinners to lure guests in. The cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was worthy of being noted considering the challenge of keeping things white as per the hotels theme colours. Room service was happy to clean up as many times as required. This is something we've never seen often. I would however expect a bit more persona and zest at reception. We've observed the service throughout and were happy with the customer service. The staff was attentive, polite and would help anytime. The pool could be upgraded to be temperature controlled considering the weather in Goa. There could be benefits of looking at loyalty rewards and complimentary room upgrades. All said and done we will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Look forward to visiting again. Thank you people @ THE Park you were fabulous.

Do not look for another hotel in Calangute, because this is the best !!! From walking through the front door, we realised we had chosen the right hotel. Every single member of staff was friendly, polite and could not do enough for us. The start of the day was a wide and varied chose of breakfast, with freshly squeezed juice , perfectly cooked omelettes with Indian and continental choses available. The location is perfect with the beach and amazing sunsets on one side and you are in a quiet street location, so avoiding the noise of any traffic. May biggest recommendation, when booking this hotel is try to upgrade yourself to one of the superior rooms, it is so worth it, as they are amazing. We stayed in Room 212 with the most perfect view from the balcony and so much space and facilities within the room. One of the best I have ever stayed in, throughout the world. When I come back to Calangute, this is the only place I will to stay.

We stumbled on this building just walking along the Calangute/Candolim beach and didn't actually know anything about other than it looked impressive. We wandered in and asked if we could look around. It was lovely. Great clean toilets, good size pool and lounges around it. Upstairs is a bar area where we bought drinks and free WiFI is offered. On a Sunday is a brunch day costing around £15 with fully inclusive food and drink. Lots of English tourists attend week on week and rave about how good the brunch is. A must if you like food, drink and good music.
