If you are in the area and are looking for an extremely good Taylor Imam is your guy. His shirts, suits, dresses are beautifully made. He had just made me a partially made sari - I’m short and after tucking everything into my sari petticoat I look awful. Imam has sorted it so that I feel great, comfortable and confident.
It is a perfect hotel for those who wants to be on north Goa beach and still away from hustle bustle, a quick walk to the beach and you are welcomed with greens all over just before you touch the soft sand. Inside they have a nice clean pool and most of their rooms are pool facing as well, the suits have a lot of space with sitting and dining area; although a TV in sitting area is missed. Given 4stars because I was billed for liquor serving while we never consumed outside liquor in the hotel, and carried a carton of bears inside on the last day so that we can take it to the tempo traveler booked for our return travel to airport. These sort of things can be handled pretty easily, but on confrontation manager was not available. Would come back for the location and rooms on offer, but i hope management looks into the small issues and stay away from cheap money making tactics. Why spoil such a good client base with such a beautiful property.
This place is tucked away from the main road and has a beautiful ambience. A one minute walk from the backyard takes you to the beach, and this patch is particularly very serene. The rooms are placed in blocks, ideal for a group of friends or couples or large family, so that everyone is close by. All the pool facing rooms have a balcony and a nice view. The rooms are very spacious and well kept. Staff is courteous. The buffet breakfast has a decent spread, but the space in the restaurant is very restricted. A good place to stay if you want to spend quality time on the beach.
Arrived on a Goa Experience package. Flight with Thomas Cook delayed 3+hours for 'maintenance' so not a great start to a 10 day holiday. However Sonesta Inns certainly went a long way to make up for the poor start. Everything about this small 3 star hotel was excellent, from the room to the pool, the location on the beach and particularly the staff. The pool attendants were so helpful and the waiting staff were great, especially Sumanta who made us feel like honoured guests. Not sure we will be back to Candolin in the future, so many other places to see, but if we do the Sonesta will be the place to stay. Can't recommend it enough
After a disastrous start to our holiday at the hotel we were very encouraged by the efficient way that Vashha and her team sorted us out, got us settled in a lovely room and made the promise that our holiday would be excellent. It was ! A lovely relaxing break which started with a quality breakfast (compliments to Ajay Patra who cooked a good meal with a smile) Room was spacious and kept very clean and any small problem with the room was dealt with swiftly. A short walk through the well maintained gardens by the lovely Ash down to the beach with a good choice of shacks. Judas, the pool man kept us comfortable and the pool was cleaned each day. So good we booked for 4 weeks next year.
The coach from the airport was a bit of a relic as is normal in India. Arrived at the road that goes down to the hotel and was met by a bell boy who took my case on a 10 minute walk down to the actual hotel and was booked in very efficiently. The morning showed a great hotel with pool set in great gardens and just a 5 minute walk through the gardens to the beach. The room was large with separate lounge area, fridge and tea making facilities. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and the Christmas and New Year gala dinners where excellent. Candolim town center is just a 20 minute walk away all be it along a very busy road but certainly worth it as there isn't a great deal in the immediate area of the hotel. Would I recommend this hotel? most certainly

We were 7 people and we booked a villa from 27th Dec to 31st Dec at a price of nearly 1.1 lakhs . The villa is located outside the hotel with the back on the road . They are cheating people by name of villa , it is kind of a very basic apartment . There is no kitchen , no private sitout area , no garden views , practically nothing . The room on the ground floor is like a store room with the height of the bathroom only 5.5 fts . It is very congested room with no ventilation at all . The hall is so small that you can not sit more than 6 persons . The other rooms are so small that you can not even think of putting an extra bed over there. The villa seems to be out of the hotel with very poor service . They provide only 2 wifi connections per villa. There will be offcourse 6 people in a villa with 3 bedrooms. One bedroom has a bathroom outside the room . They have no customer support at all . They keep blaming you for everything. They can not even arrange a taxi to airport. When we called them for wifi not working they ask us to come to reception instead of coming to the room and checking the problem. We are extremely disappointed by booking this villa . Feels as if we are cheated . There is nothing near the villa and the area nearbuy is very dull. We went to use the jacuzzi and they denied saying it is not included in the villa. What's so hype about the jacuzzi . I am attaching a picture of their confirmation copy which shows the description of the room as I have mentioned . Before you book this hotel you will not get this detailed description from them . So better read it and then go . I will 200% not recommend it to everyone. It is not a villa at all.
Very nice Room Size... Most rooms have a Balcony opening to the Pool area and the garden. The food quality is good to middling.... Service is also great.... Cleanliness is good overall for the entire resort... It does not have an all night restaurant as last orders are before 10.30 pm.... However the central location and the reasonable pricing offsets any small niggling defects... If rooms are available they do have late checkout facilities for a small cost so that is a great plus when your flight times and checkin and checkout times do not match....
