I was in Goa for business, and booked this hotel without really comparing the other options. I knew it wasn't on the beach, but I wasn't on vacation so that didn't really matter to me. What surprised me was how far away from the main area it is. You wouldn't want to walk down to the main tourist area at night on the narrow roads. They have cabs available, and they aren't very expensive, but figure it into your plans if you are going to go for holiday. (The hotel cabs are pretty fairly priced, you'll have to negotiate with the cabs/tuk-tuk drivers from town to get back.) The main problem is how bad the wifi is. It's 2017, internet isn't really a nice to have for most of us anymore, it's kind of a basic need to have at the hotel. My LTE sim card was far faster than the hotel, and a couple of times I had to go to the lobby to get enough bandwidth to email a file. Skype/WhatsApp/facetime calls didn't work on their wifi network. I was given a room on the ground floor with a little terrace towards the pool, I assume it's a nice room because I'm a Diamond member with Hilton. The main issue was the sound, the doors & walls are so thin that you can hear everything. The neighbor next to me left their tv going all day and it was crystal clear in my room. Every car that goes past to pick up or drop people off, crystal clear. The employees who like to hangout and chat outside the rooms at 8am? Crystal clear. The oddly loud speaker in the hallway playing music for the lobby? Absolutely crystal clear. The breakfast was surprisingly paltry. Green bananas, papaya and melon were the fruit options 2 days, and what looked like all three combined as a fourth option. (On the last day there was also pineapple.) In an area known for fruit I think they could have done a little better. The breads were pretty low quality (cake-like croissants.) Juices were non-existent. Coffee was pretty low quality. The egg station was decent, and the dosa was good. The bathroom was kind of old and tired, but the water was hot and pressure was good. The king bed was basically two beds pushed together, you could feel the split in the middle. The AC worked well, but you basically have to push a bunch of buttons on the remote to get it to kick on. Service was basically friendly. My only issue was that the little deadbolt on the door shuts off the magnetic key card vs operating like a deadbolt does at every other hotel I've ever stayed at... My first morning I opened the door, went to breakfast, and when I came back my key wouldn't work. I went to the front desk, they explained that my door was "double locked", and said maintenance would need to come down to open it. It took about 5 minutes to get someone to come and open the door, and then the guy wanted to stand there and explain why the issue with the door was my fault. After a couple of minutes of him talking about the lock, and explaining the features, I told him to leave and closed the door on him. (I don't like to be rude to service people, but I needed to use the bathroom and he simply wasn't getting any of the normal hints of "Thank you", "Ok, thanks!", "Great explanation, Have a good day.") The best thing I can say is there is a little barber shop outside and to the left a couple of doors. If you haven't experienced an Indian shave, haircut and head massage, it's worth the less than $10USD you'll be charged for the works. Basic summary- A low cost hotel with hot water & cold AC.

Good rustic ambience. Big Ground floor pool facing/opening rooms. Good Breakfast spread. Location is excellent . Baga on one side and Anjuna the other. Helpful staff . Overall property is worth the price

Stayed at this property on 1st Week of November 2017 and regretted immediately. The rooms are standard with standard amenities. The Washroom is basic, small and not very comfortable. The food is sad and tasteless. The buffet which is laid for lunch and dinner is basic and very very limited. The variety of food does not complies with the name HILTON. We were looking forward for the breakfast as the food did not entice us, but we were again shocked to see the minimal variety offered. Incident No 1: Asked for Brown Bread, the server quickly denied that they do not have brown bread. Sadly, we took white bread only to find Brown Bread after 15 minutes on the table. Incident No 2: Asked for Iron and the board, the housekeeping promptly complied and delivered. Knock on the door and left the board and Iron on us to carry, assemble and find the plug. These minor incident speaks volume about their service and attitude. The location of the hotel is north of North Goa so everything is far away or minimum INR 500 away by Taxi. The sleep quality was good as bed are soft and comfortable so was the air-conditioner.

Had one of my first terrible experiences in a Hilton property. Starting with a mediocre breakfast with a small spread. The same items were repeated for 3 days. Tired of eating the same sambar and idli. Next, had the best room of the property, but still dint meet the usual Hilton standards. Full of mosquitoes and to top it all, had a frog in the bathroom. Complained but they don’t care either!

A good hotel resort, with very co-operative and friendly staff. Nice ambience & rooms. Need to look into the pool issue and maintain it regularly. Rest everything was very comforting and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay there and kids loved it.

I was looking through my Trip Advisor profile and realised that I failed to provide a review of this hotel after we visited the hotel in January 2017. This is by far the best place we have stayed in Goa and we have booked to return in January 2018 for 3 week. The food is awesome, the staff are so friendly and the location is unbelievable. There is even a bus provided to take you to the beach at Baga. I would like to thank all the staff for sharing my 50th Birthday and making it such an enjoyable occasion even though there was a government ban on late night drinking due to the impending elections. The only slight we had was the lack of free wi-fi because we had to go to a small local restaurant to access it even though we had spent a lot of money in the hotel buying food and drinks. My wife and I can't wait to return in January, when I will be celebrating my 51st birthday with you all. Many Thanks to all at the Double Tree Hilton xx

A good hotel with well appointed rooms however it's not close to the beach. Service is prompt and staff is cooperative, however the front desk needs to be a little more diligent with keeping the guests informed when the room is ready for check in. Had to follow up a few times even though they promised that they'll get back to me when the room was ready.

We loved the property. The hotel staff was extremely warm and helpful. They were concerned and kept asking if we were comfortable no if we needed anything. The spread of buffet breakfast was sumptuous and tasty. My son enjoyed a lot, there is a kid's play area and swimming pool was clean and we loved dipping ourselves with some chilled beer. They stick to the policy of making it right, and in the real sense they try and make everything right and pleasant.. Highly recommend for family with kids. The shuttle service is a USP though we don't use it. Everything is in the vincinty so exploring by walking is a better idea. Thank u to all the staff for making our stay superb!!

This hotel is quite far from Madgaon railway station. However, it is near to Baga beach. The hotel provides a shuttle service to this beach starting 11'O clock, though I didn't get a chance to use this service. The staff were very courteous and welcoming. There are not many restaurants around, save for the one immediately next to our hotel. And this neighboring restaurant seemed like a themed one. So, we stuck to the our own hotel restaurant. The breakfast menu was very wide, albiet a little pricey. I will go to this hotel again if I get an opportunity.

We stayed here on a Saturday, having stayed in many Hiltons around the world we were still pleasantly surprised by firstly the polite efficient staff reminding us there is another level to Goa. And secondly the airy feel to the place, All the communal areas were spacious immaculately clean , a tribute to housekeeping. The pool area was relaxing , our only negative was no signs to tell you how slippery the surrounding tiles are. Could be a hard lesson to learn. Our suite 423 was once again immaculately clean , and every wish catered for. The Jacuzzi was fun , and the balcony very private. We dined in the restaurant where chef provided very tasty food throughout . Then after a comfortable nights sleep as always with Hilton. We enjoyed a very mixed breakfast , enjoying the different varieties available to us. All in all a great little hotel , very good staff and super clean everywhere. Thank you all.
