Lovely bedroom , bathroom & toiletries . comfy beds , good quality bedding, great staff , loved mixture of old and new decor in hotel . Fabulous breakfast menu and buffet . Bottled water should be included in room . Down side is restaurant food is way to expensive for food received and let hotel down .
We stayed with friends for a post Christmas night away - beautifully presented, modern hotel with a lovely welcome. Room was cosy and clean, great bathroom with an amazing shower - fantastic breakfast. A great little find that we will most definitely be returning to.
Excellent hotel, great staff. My only complaint would be that I could have used a warmer duvet. I could probably have got one if I had asked. So no great problem. Conveniently situated for the town and the Racecourse.
great hotel , loved the mix of old and new decor , very clean , warm and comfortable. lovely bar area with good range of wines and spirits. staff are very friendly , helpful and efficient . good location and ample parking. we were upgraded on arrival and given a lovely big room with superb bathroom with bath and large walk in shower and good quality toiletries in bathroom . room was clean , nice furniture , really comfy bed and good quality bedding. we had been in our room for 15 minutes when a lady knocked on the door to check if the room was ok and did we need anything , what a great touch and good idea. only downside in room was the dressing table mirror needs to be lower for doing makeup and some bottled water would of been nice , apart from that we could not fault it . Breakfast was lovely , good choice on buffet , meats , cheese , cereal, juices , fruit , yogurt , pastries and the cooked food menu was among the best i have seen in a hotel . we decided to eat in the restaurant , menu sounded good but pricey but the choice was good so we did not mind but although the food tasted the amount we got on the plate was really bad for the price we paid and we were disappointed., we have eaten in some excellent restaurants , rick steins , the Ritz , Rules of London but the prices reflected the quality and amount of food we received. but this is the only fault we could find in this hotel. would comeback and recommend 100 %.
As the doubles all in the basement are very small , however they are fresh , clean , lovely linen , only a very small single wardrobe , lovely bathroom with power shower and tea/ coffee making facilities . We were staying for 2 nights. Lovely welcome on arrival by Vanessa and all the staff were attentive , polite and professional . We choose to eat in their restaurant on the Saturday night , we were requested to choose off the evening menu whilst having breakfast that morning , the evening meal was delicious , the pork just melted in your mouth , scallops cooked to perfection however disappointed not to be offered any form of bread , also 2 members of our party had to send their main courses back as cold , replacements came back out quickly and despite this we still had a lovely night and stay . Great position and would recommend but don't forget go for a bigger room !!!!
Lovely hotel in excellent location within a short walk to the centre of Cheltenham. On arrival we were greeted by a very helpful member of staff, who made us feel very welcome. He asked if we wanted to dine at the hotel, but was not pushy, and went on to recommend lots of restaurants when we declined eating in. On arrival in our room we were greeted with an envelope on the bed. It was a card from my sons and the Cotswolds Grange hotel telling us to have an awesome time (lovely touch- they paid for our stay as our Xmas present) ! The room was tastefully decorated, with a bathroom straight out of an interior design magazine! Lovely crisp white bedding and gorgeous fluffy towels. Rooms had gorgeous sash windows and high high ceilings......class. Breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful menu to choose from. Lots of cereals, fresh fruit , cold meats and Danish pastries to choose from also. On both nights we returned to the hotel for a nightcap before bed, and enjoyed a lovely hour in the bar. The second day, we spent the day in Cheltenham and came upon an Indian restaurant in the Montpellier area which boasted that it was the number 1 in Cheltenham. So on returning to the hotel we asked lady on reception about it, as we love Indian and were keen to go there. She shook her head and said “ try the Curry Corner instead, it’s excellent !” It’s was only a 3 minute walk away, and I have to say it was the BEST Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Even the menu had reviews from the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein !!! Whenever I visit Cheltenham again, this will definitely be my “go to” hotel......can’t fault it.
I’ve stayed here a couple of times now, as a lone female travelling for work, I was made to feel really welcome. They lock the front doors at 10pm so only residents can get in after then. The staff are friendly, the food is really good, bed’s comfortable and more importantly it’s really clean. It will be my first choice when I come back to Cheltenham.
Really lovely hotel and stunning rooms, service from the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the whole of our stay, situated very local to the centre. Has own bar and restaurant and brilliant breakfast.
Just had a wonderful night away at Cotswold Grange Hotel. Hotel room was cosy with a huge walk in shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was outstanding by head chef Tim Townsend. So tasty and presentation to match. In the morning the choice of breakfast was great and freshly cooked to order.
Great hotel, location and extremely helpful professional and friendly staff.. We stayed for just one night, wish we had longer but just passing through. We had our little dog with us and unlike many”dog friendly “ hotels, Cotswold Grange Hotel genuinely was friendly and made us and our beloved canine feel very welcome indeed.
