Cotswold Grange Hotel

We stayed at the Grange because we wanted to tour around the Cotswolds. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful with where to go and things to see. The hotel seems quite central to everything we wanted to see. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The room itself is a little smaller than what we are used to in North America but more than adequate. The breakfast was fantastic and most days kept us going till the evening meal. The bar was a great place to relax in the evening. A special thank you to Andrew, Richard and Dorothy for making our stay memorable. The kitchen staff and servers who were so accommodating as one person in our group was vegetarian.

We recently stayed at this lovely hotel. It is in a great location; very near to the centre of town and has parking which was a huge bonus for us. All of the staff we met were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room, which was a standard double in the basement, was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the range of lovely biscuits and toiletries available to us in our room. Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. We will definitely be staying at Cotswold Grange whenever we are in the area and would thoroughly recommend it.

Great hotel, comfortable stay. Excellent food both bar and restaurant. Plesent & friendly service. Good on site parking, no problem. Would stay again.room I had looked across to cotswold hills. Quite area no traffic heard from room I had at rear of building (No2)

As a family of four with two under 10 we usually stay in a PremiereInn because they are so convenient and spot on for a family stay. Making the jump to the Cotswold Grange however was a jump in the right direction! A gorgeously decorated and presented hotel that is very adult in appearance but very welcoming to families. Our family room was fantastic, lots of space, the bathroom was sumptuous and the many, many shower options drive our son to distraction - he’s never got washed so often and so well. Great breakfast choices! Superb hotel for grownups that caters very well for families - thoroughly recommend!

I have just come back from an amazing weekend away at this hotel! Excellent food, fabulous spacious rooms with very modern and stylish bathrooms. The décor is modern but in keeping with the period features of the house. The hotel is a short walk away from Cheltenham town centre and not far from the race course. The thing that really made my stay the most enjoyable were Chris, Drew, Rich and the team at this hotel. I had many conversations with them and anything I asked wasn't too much trouble - from booking a taxi, researching local events and marking down on a town map the best route to walk to the train station. They provided a home from home experience for myself and my family and we hope to visit again very soon!! A MUST HOTEL TO STAY IN WHEN IN CHELTENHAM!!

We were warmly welcomed and our room on the second floor was very pleasant with a lovely outlook to the rear of the hotel. Fabulous bathroom! It was a short walk to the Pittville park and the Pump House (closed!) so onwards to the fabulous Wilson Art Gallery. Dinner at the hotel was simply outstanding and special mention to Dorota, our delightful waitress. All staff were welcoming and professional and we would definitely recommend Cotswold Grange.

nice comfortable .with pleasant staff. good car parking space and convenient position for a 10 minute walk into town .The one way system is not easy but thank goodness for our sat navigation system. Would stay again if in the area.

I stayed at the Cotswold Grange for 2 nights while traveling on business in Cheltenham. I've struggled to find a really good hotel in Cheltenham and thought I would try the Cotswold Grange based on the reviews. I arrived at the hotel just before noon having arrived on the red eye into Heathrow followed by a 2-hour drive into town. Unfortunately I could not check in early so I went to our local office to work for the afternoon. The hotel is a cool building in a nice neighborhood. There is ample parking in front of the hotel. I came back and checked in later in the afternoon with no problems. I was given an old fashioned key for room #2 and carried my stuff up the stairs (no elevator and no offer to help with my luggage) to my room. I had a standard double room and my first impression upon entering was, "Wow, this room is small - I mean really SMALL. Even by European standards. There was a double bed, a small desk and chair crammed in between the two and that was about it. The room was so small that it didn't even have a closet, just a small rack to hang up a couple of items. The bathroom was nice with a walk in shower. The room was so small I measured it and it may have been 150-160 sq. ft. (14 m^2) max. In hindsight, I probably should have gone back to the front desk and asked for a bigger room. While the room was clean, it lacked a refrigerator, a clock, laundry bags, ice (no ice machine) and there we no plugs by the desk to plug in my computer. There was a thermostat which was not operative. I could open the windows but there were no screens so the bugs could get into the room. There also is not fitness center in the hotel either which was disappointing as I was hoping to work out during the trip. I could also hear the people in the neighboring rooms as well. Breakfast is included with the room but they don't start it until 7:30 which makes it tricky if you need to be somewhere for an 8:00 meeting. Many hotels start breakfast at 6:30. The first day I had an omelette which was excellent. The second day, they were late opening breakfast so I didn't have time to order anything so I just grabbed some fruit and yogurt. Overall the Cotswold is a quaint place but it didn't meet my needs as a business traveler.

This hotel is in a nice part of Cheltenham, an old and respectable looking mansion. The staff were friendly, and the room roomy. Bath both with tub and a large shower. The hot water, I suspect, is pumped so when many people showered throughout the house in the morning, it wasn't very powerful. The sink faucet didn't fit the sink (too short) making it a bit awkward to wash ones hands. The

Really lovely and helpful staff who were always welcoming. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good and made fresh. Overall a great stay and will definitely go back to stay again.
