The room and the building were very nice. I appreciated the breakfast voucher for the hotel next door. That said, this place has some serious security issues.
First, upon checking in, I was not asked for an ID. This has never happened to me, even in the seediest of motels. The back and side doors to the building were not locked. There were some people that appeared to be living in campers out back; they were partying loudly and made me a bit nervous as I had to walk close to them to get to my car, and then enter the unlocked building.
The next morning, my key stopped working, so I went to the front desk to have it reprogrammed. The lady working the desk asked what room I was in, then fixed the key without verifying who I was!
Now, I am not a timid traveler. I am a female traveling solo, and it takes a lot to make me worry about safety. This place managed to do that. Since it appears to be a new business, I figure it just has some kinks to work out, but I would stay elsewhere until they sort out these issues.
