We absolutely loved our stay at the Sandman Hotel in Glasgow. From the moment we walked in, the staff were welcoming, kind, and genuinely happy to help. The hotel itself has a great artistic, modern vibe with stylish design touches that make it feel creative and cozy rather than cookie-cutter. Huge bonus points for being so dog-friendly! Our pup was treated like a proper guest, and it made traveling so much easier knowing pets are truly welcome here. Comfortable rooms, great atmosphere, and a fantastic central location for exploring the city. Would happily stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow (especially fellow dog parents!).

Exactly what you expect and need upon arrival, Chop restaurant needs some atmosphere and more staffing: getting away with one server on "quiet" nights is a very cheap and obvious scene, where it only takes one or two 5 tops to enter and they will be easily overwhelmed, particularly as they are running the bar too. Not a good look for those in the know - I almost walked out and it was close to EMPTY and I hadn't been offered a glass of water, drink or menu for twenty minutes: I was seconds away and the server was not at fault but too busy. Your card reader also does not offer a gratuity; I had to ask and make a new transaction.

Stayed in twin double room. Unfortunately, first room we were given stunk of vomit in the bathroom and room was poorly cleaned. Dirty mugs, carpet not vacuumed and bathroom stinking, was moved to a new room the following day. Room too small for two double beds, do not recommend for more than two people as no space for any luggage or movement. Only one lift working for the three days was stayed. Waits of up to 15min for a lift. With over 10 floors it became an issue.

Room was superb two big comfy beds, fridge, microwave and kettle with all tea,coffee biscuits etc. Bathroom was big with a lovely hot waterfall shower and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast buffet was tasty with plenty to choose from. Definitely stay at the Sandman again.

The hotel was gorgeous, clean and in a great location. Staff were friendly. My only issues were 1. The car park was incredibly small and difficult to park in, it’s a very narrow car park and you can very barely get cars in and out, we saw many people encountering the same issue. 2. Only one lift was working and having a buggy this was our only optio. To get to our room on the 3rd floor. At check out time we had to do two trips to the car and on one occasion I was waiting about 20 minutes to get in the lift as it was so busy and being a tiny lift it couldn’t fit more than a few people. Very inconvenient and frustrating with a bang in tow.

The check in was smooth. The rooms are ok. We had booked 3 rooms for family and friends getaway. We wouldn’t rate this hotel 4 star due to number of issues. One of the lift ( out of 2) wasn’t working and therefore we either had to wait 10-15minutes in queue for lift or walk up to our rooms on 6th floor. The rooms were fine, bed was very comfortable. However we expected shower caps etc in the toilet which weren’t provided. Lastly, when we checked out, we were asked to make the payment and the receptionist was insisting that we hadn’t paid. Her colleague checked the system and said he had checked too even though on check in we were told that all 3 rooms were paid fully. When the receptionist finally realized after 10min of discussions, she wasn’t apologetic about it at all. Lastly there is some construction work going around the hotel, so you do hear construction noise( it wasn’t a huge bother for us as we only stayed 1 night).

Hotel was very quiet, however, we stayed midweek so not sure what weekends would be like. Room was a little small with 2 double beds, not a lot of space at the sides for getting on and out of bed, although the beds were very comfortable to sleep on. Large, bright bathroom with a great shower. Had a drink in the bar which was large and welcoming with plenty of seating available. Local bars were a 5 minute walk from the hotel with the main city centre shopping area about 10-15 minutes wak. Overall a nice hotel and I would stay again.
