Moon Hill is a unique oasis of seclusion, escape and serenity that is located on 2 acres at the foot of a rainforest, on the eastern side of the island of Nevis. The property is accessed through a private gate and is situated at the top of a hill.
Moon Hill welcomes our guests from the moment they enter the gate, leaving the daily worries and routines behind and settling into ultimate relaxation. We have created an atmosphere of tranquility, presence, and peace that permeates the spaces in and around the villa. We appreciate living in the heart of nature and it is important for us to use all natural products , and avoid hard chemicals wherever possible.
The House The house itself is located on the site of an old existing Great House of a sugar plantation. The house overlooks the old estate property and many of the stonework found in the house were hand cut from the existing centuries' old buildings on the estate.

My wife and I stayed here for a week, and really enjoyed it. The house is beautiful and well kept. The view is fantastic. The housekeeper was super nice, and an absolutely amazing cook. The pool was nice and clean. The area is nice and quiet. Very close to a market, and not far from Charlestown. And the host was very helpful and responsive. Awesome experience overall, and a great place to stay.
Perfectly relaxing week in a comfy villa with awesome views. Jonathan gave great advice when welcoming us to his home. Tessie, the housekeeper, is a princess and cooks like a dream. Thank you for sharing Moon Hill with our family
Jonathan paid attention to every detail from transport from the airport to the water taxi, to transportation to the Villa. The portfolio of information he put together is the most complete and helpful we have ever received. Jonathan checked in with us before, during, and after our stay. For this, we are grateful.
The views from the property are stunning and the location is close to some of the best restaurants on the Island. We enjoyed meeting Tessie and she cooked us some lovely meals.
All in all an excellent experience at Moon Hill.

Moon Hill Villa was a delightful place to stay. The stunning 2-bedroom house offered breathtaking views, including the majestic mountain, which was equally captivating whether covered by clouds or seen on a clear day. On sunny days, the views of the sea and distant islands such as Redonda and Montserrat were spectacular. Overall, the scenery in all directions was beautiful.
We experienced nature at its finest, with the sounds of various animals like donkeys, sheep, goats, and roosters, and the soothing chirping of crickets at night. Sitting out on the veranda and gazing at the stars was a truly magical experience.
Tessy, the Chef, treated us to wonderful meals, adding to the charm of our stay.
Moon Hill Villas is superb for travellers who enjoy outdoor life, Caribbean style!
My friend and I had a lovely stay at this just right-sized villa with sea views from the front and mountain views from the back of the property. The beds are comfortable and the home has updated furrnishings and a large bathroom. There is ample outdoor seating. Moon Hill is toward the windward side of Nevis, so driving to the more popular beaches is about a 20 minute ride. There is a large supermarket just down the road and plenty of restaurants nearby, however. Jonathan was full of recommendations of things to do and see. And unlike most other rentals, there are ample seasonings and staples in the kitchen as well as a housekeeper to cook for you! Enthusiastically recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at Moon Hill. The house standing on a hill on a gated property felt isolated, but still part of the neighborhood. The house enjoyed almost constant cool breezes eliminating the need for air conditioning. Go to sleep to the with the cool breeze and wake up to all the animals in the morning. No need for clocks. The pool was great and we used it every day -- sitting by the pool was a highlightTessie the cook / housekeeper was outstanding and made the trip special. She helped with our entire stay. Jonathon, the host provided extensive and complete information concerning restaurants, markets and beaches. No need to find what you needed on your own.In all a great two weeks. We look forward to returning in the future.
Moon Hill is a unique and magical place. The house is clearly loved by Jonathan, the owner, and it is full of little touches that make it truly feel like home-from-home. Before we even left home Jonathan sent lots of useful information about the restaurants on Nevis, the beaches and even the best supermarkets. It was much appreciated and we felt very well prepared to enjoy our time on Nevis. After a long day travelling we were greeted by Tessie, the housekeeper and cook, who had prepared a delicious meal for us. Although we didn't get to know her well, Tessie is very friendly and we enjoyed more of her cooking during our stay. The house is on a hill so catches the welcome breezes and we enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio watching the wildlife and enjoying the views, even the goats who weren't meant to be in the extensive grounds but found their way in occasionally! There is a morning orchestra of roosters, donkeys and suchlike but very soon we were sleeping through and it just added to the charm of Moon Hill. The weather was a little changeable during our visit meaning we didn't use the pool as much as would have liked, but didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. We were sad to leave after 10 days but felt thoroughly relaxed and refreshed and will cherish the memories of our stay.
We had a ten-day stay. From arrival to departure, the property, ambiance, location and amenities were to die for. Another special plug for this incredible property is that it came with the services of a cook three days a week. That value alone, was priceless, as it allowed us to settle in and focus on adventure, relaxation and renewal.
The property is located on a large piece of land that allowed for near total privacy. It had several spots with beautiful mature trees for writing and meditation. Our one regret was wishing we had brought a hammock. We had many days of watching the sunrise over the Caribbean sea and the sunset over Mt. Nevis. Nature and its beauty could be viewed and experienced from the two bedrooms, living/ dining room, kitchen, bathtub and incredible pool, veranda and gazebo. The property manager Jonathan was amazing and generous. He had a zoom call with us prior to our trip and answered all emails promptly. He provided great local suggestions that made for one of our best vacations ever. The cook Tessy cooked up the storm and nurtured our beings with eye catching, nutritious and fresh meals.
It was hard to leave Nevis and this property fondly known as Moon Hill. As the saying on the metal gate says - Carpe Diem (Cease the moment), we are planning to cease the moment and return in 2024. Thanks for the memories.

Neighborhood animal noise keep us awake pretty much every night.
Nice property but in a neighborhood where there are goats, roosters, dogs and donkeys that bleet, crow, bark and bray most of the night. The bedrooms are not air conditioned so you can’t close the windows. There are ceilings fans that are old and ineffective. When I talked to the owner about the bedrooms being so hot he told me to open the all the doors and get an ocean breeze. Unfortunately the bedrooms are at the rear of the house. There is a breeze on the porch and I ended up sleeping out there on a sofa but had to contend with the animal noises and the mosquitoes.
There is a local housekeeper that comes in and I mentioned it to her and she says everyone complains about it.
After the first night we found another house on the island but decided it would probably get better or we would get used to it. It didnt get better and we didn’t get used to it.
Also to a lesser degree it would have been nice to of had a microwave and a washer and dryer.
If someone else who stayed here would have written about this in their review it certainly would have been appreciated and saved us many sleepless nights.
