Nothing much in way of amenities, but rooms are drive-up and have microwaves, fridges and good tv. No in-room coffee, and internet was down until morning. Quiet, comfortable night's sleep at a good rate, cordial reception, meager breakfast. Rated 3 mainly to offset other reviews - no evidence of drug dealers, gangs, hookers, roaches, etc. Decent for quick one-night stay close to town and I-81.
This is another Asian operated hotel where the owners have absolutely NO training in the hospitality industry and whose sole concern is the money that is collected. The breakfast is minimally acceptable and the welcoming atmosphere that one might expect in this industry is totally non-existent at this location. Save for the seldom available manager, nobody working here speaks passable English. Any questions one poses is considered an interruption to their existence and is met with a minimum of interest or assistance - if not outright hostility. This is a favorite haunt of drug dealers and their customers which inevitably leads to police raids and, on one occasion in particular, the death of one of these criminals. If you enjoy being treated with disdain and gruffness, this is the establishment for you! Otherwise, drive on for a much more pleasant stay at any another hotel. Southbound on the Interstate is the city of Chambersburg and northbound has several towns far more welcoming of the traveling public. BTW, the nearby Best Western is also owned and operated by these same people! In-room telephone service and internet connection are sporadic. Highly unreliable! Same can be said for air conditioning, heating and hot water availability. The rooms need some serious wall painting and professional carpet cleaning, none of which seem to have been done in many years. When I first moved in, the toilet seat was broken! It took 2 full days to have it grudgingly replaced!
Old and getting to need some attention but a Great Value for a Cheap Price . Room has Fridge and Micro Too . Easy In and Out for a Quick Road Trip Stop . If Your Not Picky Do Stop By and Save a Few Bucks .
Small Single Building Motel directly off Interstate 81 . Has Drive-Up Rooms . Rooms are Older and Dated but a O.K. Value for the Price Paid . If your looking for a Cheap Road Stop Motel this place works . If you want Fancy or Newer don't book $49 Motels . You Do Usually " Get What You Pay For " .
First room smelled so bad and one bed wasn't even made. Second room had a smell but wasn't too bad that you could stay in the room. The walls were dirty, mold under the sink, toilet leaked and raddled when you got off it. The shower curtain had mold on it and the drain took half an hour to drain after a shower. The air conditioner/heater casing was falling off. The ice bin was filthy. Never stayed in a worst place before.
We found this motel to be clean and comfortable for a good price. Its very basic, just right for an overnight stop. The staff is friendly and helpful and the property was well kept. We would stay again.
I was given a second room it was worse than the first. This place is not fit for human beings to live in. They refused to refund my money and so did Expedia. Expedia should check these places before listing them. Horrible place urine smelling.
Office and room smelled like old curry. Bedding had brown and yellow stains, holes burned in blanket, and springs poked thru dirty stinky sheets. Carpets were stained black and made socks black. Furniture was old and worn. Breakfast consisted of very weak coffee with powdered creamer and very stale sweet buns in wrapping. I had to spray everything with odor neutralizer and disinfectant. Said had free wifi, but didn't work.
I was looking for a low cost overnight stay and found this hotel in the coupon book from the welcoming center when I crossed into Pennsylvania. The room was ok without any surprises. The hotel offered free coffee and a complimentary continental breakfast. I would probably stay here again If I am just travelling through.
Travelling late without my wife, and most typical hotels were sold out. I just needed a place to sleep and pulled in to the Rodeway Inn. About half the cost of the more standard hotels and you do get what you pay for. My wife would have never stayed here, but it was fine for me to just get some sleep. The front office guy was very nice and helpful. Outdoor facing rooms which can be a safety issue but I had no problem. Very basic bed and linens. Not my preferred hotel, but ok in a pinch or on a low budget.
