So clean, big rooms, attentive staff, beautiful view of river, very tasty breakfast, great location in a cool city, fantastic barbecue place next door, close to grocery store. Best stay I've ever had!

On the river. Booked it in time for a considerable savings

Great place to stay for visiting the mountains. Located below 8000’ (so as to avoid altitude sickness.) breakfast was juice, coffee, and delectable pastries Would definitely stay here again. Only complaint: the lobby door was not opened on time for breakfast.

Cleanliness.....the sheets on the bed were not clean.....filled with a grittiness. They had obviously not been changed. Cannot recommend this place.

dead bugs in the light fixtures in the area where breakfast was served. Also rates at the front desk where lower than the orbitz bucks you made me pay. You may be paying less than the orbitz bucks you deducted so I am thinking to cancel my orbitz credit card as a result.

The rooms were very nice and clean, and we had a room overlooking the creek. Staff was welcoming. Air conditioning worked well in a 90+ degree day. Breakfast could be better. We were heading off to a tennis tournament, others were heading off to fish, hike, bike, etc and could use more variety for breakfast (or don't offer it). Location is terrific, and if the outside got a face-lift, this would be a great hotel. We would definitely stay again though!

This is a nice property. If I return to Idaho Springs, I would likely stay at Argo again. The property has a very nice sitting area adjacent to Clear Creek and it is relaxing. The property does little things such as giving a comb, toothbrush in the room. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is fresh and clean. It is "pricy" but when you are in the Colorado mountains, everything is "high". I would recommend this property for both couples and families.

We slept with the balcony door open (screen closed) and loved listening to Clear Creek rush by all night. Balcony had great views and was very private.

Excellent location and clean rooms. Continental breakfast was very basic but otherwise a great stay

I’ve been traveling for many years. My wife and I were visiting Idaho Springs for the triple bypass bicycle ride. Because of the reviews we selected our Argo Inns. I will experience it was extremely disappointing and I will take a moment to detail our specific concerns We paid more money for a room that had a Jacuzzi. The inlet Jets were completely black with mold so we did not use it. The toilet would not flush. We called the front desk several times and no one answered we ended up using a restroom in a nearby restaurant. The pillows were flat. They were holes and scratches on the walls where it was obviously missing art work. After we came back from dinner I wanted to unload the car for all of my cycling gear. The handle, the inside handle, of the door came off in my hand and I was not able to get out of the room! The handle was so beat up it was obvious that this had been an ongoing issue and it had never been properly fixed. I had to beat it back on with a heavy shoe in order for us to exit the room . The air-conditioner was so loud we could not possibly sleep can use it at the same time. The fan without the air-conditioner was also so loud it was impossible for us to sleep with it on. We tried opening the door but it was also very noisy because the creek which was very high was also extremely noisy. Because of all of these conditions that I’ve described we had one of the worst nights lodging that we’ve ever had in our 40 years of traveling. I am demanding a refund

The river running behind the property was very cool. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Very old and dated property.no hairdryer and soaps are terrible. Cute town for little shops and breakfast minutes away. Continental breakfast offered was donuts and muffins/coffee. Only would stay here as a stop over to somewhere else. A little costly considering the age and lack of amenities.

Clean and comfortable beds. Creek side rooms. Parking sufficient

Clean comfortable room. Nice staff . Great location

I really liked the river view room. My tv said no signal and I called the office. The guy at the desk came right over and fixed it for me. My stay was really good and I will go back.

Great location in Idaho springs along the creek Leave your window open and listen to the sound of the running water as you fall asleep Rooms have been remodeled, very nicely Fire pit, barbecue Reasonably priced

TV remote did not work. There was a hole in the door. Not really breakfast - apples, bananas and donuts. Should at least call in "continental breakfast."
