We were only staying one night at this hotel but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, gave us great recommendations for dinner and requesting a later checkout was no problem. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The terrace on their sister hotel was also amazing!! The location is good for convenience as it is so close to the train station (Piazza Principe) however I would recommend to be careful which route you take getting back to the hotel at night as we ended up walking down some streets which are near the hotel and we didn't feel particularly safe. Overall we felt this was great value for money with a charming feel in the heart of Genoa!
Fabulous room with a large tiled bathroom. Big wardrobe for clothes. Right across from the train station so convenient for day trips. Beautiful lobby, great free breakfasts, and an easy walk for sightseeing
Helpful friendly staff, excellent food in both restaurant, great choice at breakfast, including gluten free.comfertable, clean room.Very comfortable bed. Safe location and easy walking distance to main attractions. Do not miss the ascension behind the pharmacy, next to the hotel, which takes you up to the Castello d' Alberti.
We stayed two nights at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean and tidy. Sadly we got allocated a small room with a small window facing the light well, so not much light came in and we had to have lights on in the room every time we were in there. We were basically never sure if the sun was shining or not, as we couldn't even see the sky! We asked if we could possibly change but were told that this was the room we had booked - but surely there must be more of the catagory room we booked, but on a higher floor.....but there was no point in continuing the request. The hotel is really nice with lots of restaurants and bars all aound it and in an excellent location, so we would definitely return, but make sure we book a higher catagory room!
Stayed here one night before heading for the Cinque Terre. The hotel is literally across the square from the main rail station and a short walk into old Genoa and the harbour area. From the airport a taxi costs €36. It's a hotel of character, dark wood furniture, an old caged lift but it's of a good standard. We had a classic room, which was compact for two but fine for one night. There is a shower room and there are tea and coffee facilities in the room. It had good air conditioning and though near the station was well sound proofed for a night's sleep. The hotel shares facilities with the Hotel Savoia next door where there is a spa, gym and two restaurants. The staff speak good English and the room service was quick too. For a good standard, short stay in Genova it's worth considering, particularly if like me you are using the rail station.
This hotel is well situated close to the train station Piazza Principe and not far from the cruise port which was important to us because we arrived by cruise. The breakfast is not very rich but the food is of a good quality. rooms are spacious, staff is nice and helpful, free WiFi internet is available and is fair. But the building is old and so is the elevator, a modern elevator is available only from the 1st floor.
Just in front of the train station a very traditional building, nicely decorated and well managed with a very kind staff. Comfortable suite with view over the street. Great breakfast, walking distance from main attractions. Tralalero restaurant in the terrace to have great dinners and then go to sleep to you room!!!!
Great location, breakfast, water at the front desk for guests, complimentary coffee and jelly in the room, amenities like slippers in the bathroom. All clean And organized. Restaurant attached to the hotel very good. The receptionist answered us in Portuguese and was very attentive.
The room was lovely and close to everything we wanted to do. Loved having someone park the car for us. The staff was extremely helpful in getting us registered and with dinner and breakfast suggestions.
There was a minor faults our room, however the hotel was very good. The staff friendly. Access to the city and the station are good. Very solid option if you are visiting Genoa. The bed was very comfortable.
