Positives Excellent location a 3 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle with plenty of shops nearby to buy food and drink. Very cheap Generally comfortable, nice beds, very clean, warm rooms, good shower Negatives Breakfast was hugely disappointing. The staff seem disinterested and reluctant to restock items. The watering down of the juice is an embarrassment and both orange and apple juice tasted like drinking water from a dirty puddle every day. The toaster is broken, bread and pastries were fresh on only a solitary day, baked beans always cold and tasteless, and the fruit bowl contained fruit well beyond being ripe and inedible. Our mini bar was permanently empty, we were never given any milk, and the hair dryer is so old it was like having an asthmatic blowing on your wet hair. Restaurant food is scandalously priced and mediocre at best Overall our stay was acceptable, but below what I had anticipated.

Great reception/bar/breakfast area. Our room looked a little tired by comparison. Overall the room was fairly clean but the carpet was stained in a few places which is never a nice thing! Discovered trying to close the curtains that one of the lights in the room near the window didn't have a back to it - just wires. There was a loose ceiling tile in the bathroom and the bathroom fan didn't switch off at all. However, staff were friendly and helpful and the location is excellent. Breakfast was great apart from the toaster that pretended to work (2 minutes waiting for cold bread). We had a meal in the restaurant on the first night as we arrived late and it was excellent as was the service. Nice to have a menu with clearly marked vegetarian options. Would stay here again because of the price and location. None of the above issues bothered us enough to raise them with members of staff.

The hotel a few minutes walk to the old town. The tram stop is across the road which takes you to the main station so travelling from the to the hotel from the airport is relatively easy. The hotel staff at reception, at the breakfast area as well as housekeeping were all very nice and friendly. Hotel was clean, internet was good. We received a 500ml bottle of still and a 500ml bottle of sparkling water everyday. Bathroom was very nice and bright. Breakfast was plentiful no matter if you were vegetarian or non vegetarian. The garden at the back looked nice, would be great to sit out there in the summer. We had à great stay & would look forward to being back in the future.

Rooms 141 and 143 close to the service door (morning supplies) and the cleaners carts..Very noisy in the EARLY morning!! Bar staff had never heard of cocktails, ordered 2 soups, long wait, and, when I enquired, they admitted they had lost my order!! Bar Ice Machine broke down for the 4 nights I was there..Ordered a stir-fry that was only look-warm!! Friendly staff but full priced room for a single use of!! Would not go back!!!

This is a standard (older style) Novotel in the Center of Gdansk. While the surroundings don't seem very appealing at first, it is in a very good location with pedestrian access to everything interesting. Everything was very generic Novotel, thus of decent standard and no surprises. Would stay again if in town.

Stayed here for 3 nights and I would highly recommend it. Rooms were spotless clean and comfortable. Staff all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good with something for all tastes. 20 min walk to main train station or tram stop is right outside the hotel if you don't feel like walking.Taxi to airport was 65 zloty or you can catch a bus from the main train station. Literally 4 min walk to where the big wheel is.

Stayed for two nights, great location close to the old town. Room ok, clean and had everything you need. The breakfast was good value and had a really good choice. Tram stop straight outside so easy to get about. All staff were really helpful.

Stayed here for 4 nights, Hotel is in great location, short walk to main square. Rooms lovely and clean fabulous shower, breakfast lovely good selection on Hot &Cold food's (Gluten free bread available on request) if you are doing the Hop on Hop off bus get the red and blue as one goes in the morning and the other in afternoon and you get to see a lot,do the boat trip over to Sopot nice day out lovely Beaches. Reception staff lovely and helpful. I would stay here again.

This hotel brinks me mixed experience. I am very happy with it’s location (walking distance to old town, pubs and restaurants in the city). The service at the reception was warm and dedicated (both on check in and out). Unfortunately the room, although was very clean, did not bring me best feelings (destroyed curtain and hinted room service menu). What was also mixed to me is the breakfast. Very wide selection of food, exceeding the expectations, but service was focused on cleaning tables but did not recognized that there are hotel guests waiting to be served. Overall, bearing in mind bargain price, this hotel is worth to consider.

On arrival at this fine hotel we were warmly greeted by Artur at reception. This man is an outstanding advert for the Novotel Gdansk Centrum with his friendly and extremely professional attitude to guests. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had an enjoyable stay in Gdansk which Artur is rightly proud of with good reason. We were allocated a great room with every possible comfort including a fridge, safe, wide screen TV, free wifi and tea/coffee making facilities. The standard of housekeeping was wonderful with our room and bathroom kept in immaculate condition by the hardworking room maids. The hotel itself is in a terrific location with the historic old town of Gdansk just a short walk away along with most of the visitor attractions. Gdansk is a beautiful city, clean and very safe.We even found it very good value for money notwithstanding the recent fall of the pound sterling against the Polish Zloty. We would definitely recommend the Novotel Gdansk Centrum to friends and other visitors as our experience of staying there was so positive.
