Pięć gwiazdek to kompletne nieporozumienie. Zimne grzanki z sadzonym jajkiem, też kompletnie zimnym. Pan z obsługi, prowadzący nas do pokoju szedł przodem, a za nim 2 kobiety z walizkami. Żadnej z nas nie pomógł. Dużo podróżuję i znam wiele hoteli czterogwiazdkowych ze znacznie wyższym standardem. Zdecydowanie nie polecam. Five stars for Dwor Oliwski is a complete misunderstanding. The owners have no idea that it obliges. The beauty of the place is not enough. Dirty walls, the room was cleaned after the intervention, late afternoon. No trash was removed, the bathroom was not washed, just the towels were changed. There were no bathrobes in our room, the shower handle was broken, so the water was running from side to side, there was only one small bottle of body lotion for 2 guests and we didn't get any on the second day. Cold toasts with fried, cold eggs for breakfast. A service guy, leading us to the room, walked ahead, followed by two women with heavy suitcases. He didn't give us a hand. I travel a lot and know many four-star hotels with much higher service. I definitely do not recommend it.
I am glad I’ve chosen this hotel for my long weekend in Gdansk. The surroundings are relaxing and quiet, beautifull romantic garden, Oliwski park near by, wellness is worth to visit. People are friendly, that’s nice.
It is not a pleasure but feels like a duty to share my really bad experience of the Christmas Eve dinner in the Dwor Oliwski. I chose the hotel basing on the lovely location and my sentiment to Oliwa and- previous good reviews on Tripadvisor. From the very beginning when all the guests were senselessly waiting to be shown to their tables just by one staff member which took ages, to the sad reality that the buffet ran out of food in barely minutes and groups of hungry guests were more like hunters and gatherers looking for food. Ridiculous and embarassing- somebody from the management should rethink their career path. It did not get better. In my package I had housewine included. The manager insisted it is not the case, and after I asked she would check her notes, whithout an apology agreed that I was right. The waiting staff was reluctant to pour it though and did not even try to catch eye contact. The cake was gone before most people finished their main meal and when I asked for black tea I got Earl Grey without a spoon or an option of sugar or milk... If the Hotel entered a competition how to go out of business they are doing well. Avoid this restaurant at any cost. My Christmas dinner for 2017 a crap memory forever.
We had our family Xmas Eve dinner at the Dwór Oliwski restaurant. We did this last year and it was fantastic. We were therefore surprised how things changed. Starting from the rather stern and unwelcoming discussion with the director of (anti?)marketing where everything we asked for seemed to be a problem to the actual party itself. The restaurant was full, including all private rooms, and within 15-20 minutes all self service tables practically run out of food. Almost all cold starter plates empty, hot dishes gone, soups there but no soup bowls so that did not help much either. Guests were moving upstairs and downstairs searching for food - all rather upset that during this once a year magic moment (Xmas Eve dinner is probably the most important meal of the year in the Polish tradition) they had to spend time searching/queueing for food. The stated of disarray continued for about an hour after which - as people satisfied their hunger on whatever was available - dished started to reappear. I felt rather sympathetic for the waiting staff who rushed around trying to fix things. The problem seemed to lie rather with the kitchen being completely unprepared logistically to handle the volume (all rather surprising as all places were booked long time in advance and there was a set menu). In this context it was even more surprising that the person we booked our table with (director of marketing?) was absolutely against us starting our dinner earlier than everybody - surely, spreading starting times of different tables would have lowered peak demand and make handling the volume easier. Well, they seem to know better. It is deeply upsetting to have such a charming place like Dwór Oliwski drop their service standards so much. Especially we simultaneously the level of arrogance when taking our booking went sky high (last year they were super nice). Hard to say - bad day or new management that seems to care a bit less. In any case, I recommend extra caution when booking the place for larger functions... Probably our last time there. Pity.
Lovely, quiet place, nice rooms, friendly staff at the reception. Nice swimming pool and sauna opened till 10 p.m. What I would highlight is comfortable bed and one of the best breakfast I had in hotels. They have everything, what you want. You can also play table football ☺️ nice.
We looked forward to spend some time in this hotel but we were little bit disappointed. We ordered food in bar because the restaurant was closed. I ordered beef tartar - it wasn´t nothing special but the worst thing about the food was that waitress gave me frozen pastry! He brought me 4 pieces of pastry and it was totally frozen! I cant change it immediately because there were no staff more than 30 minutes. When he finally came I told him that the pastry is frozen so I couldnt eat it and he didnt apologize at all. Choice of alcohol is excellent. The hotel is nice but little bit used - the armchair in the bar was dirty and old. We stayed in junior suite and it was really small size. The best thing in this hotel was masseuse - we had wonderful massage. The spa is also nice but nothing special. There is a lot of young staff in this hotel without any experience and its shame for the hotel. I thing that the hotel is overpriced.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay here, with the beautiful location in the forest, nice rooms and amazing spa! We want to return! The personal did there job nicely and the food in the restaurang was very good!
stayed for 3 nights, and can't grumble.service is very good.polite and helpful staff.food is good.rooms ok.a most enjoyable stay.lovely surroundings.not far from the ship yards which is well worth a visit
Just stayed for two nights for a friends wedding. Twin room was spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly and food in the bar, and at the wedding itself was fantastic. The hotel is set in stunning grounds and just a short cheap taxi ride from the airport and central Gdansk. Highly recommended.
Myself and my husband stayed there for a one day mini spa break. The hotel has lovely pool, sauna and sun beds. We used the spa facilities. The hotel is in a lovely location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant is excellent and deserves top stars. One drawback is the charge for the car park, seems a bit excessive considering the hotel is situated in a rural location.
