A stunning wall of windows in the 82" Smart TV Theater/Game Rm brings in the breathtaking Great Smoky Mountains. Surrounded by mountain and forest views, you'll experience the GSM and the abundance of nature and wildlife in a way many only hope to enjoy. Completed in November 2020 enjoy a multitude of spaces to gather or meditate w/ Vaulted & 9' Ceilings with Beams and fresh Solid Pine Walls.
Summit Solitude’s Gatlinburg location is a peaceful escape into the Great Smoky Mountains and yet is within easy driving distance to all the attractions and the national park. In the Summer months, typically Memorial Day through Labor Day, our guests have access to three nearby swimming pools, pickleball, and basketball courts. Bent Creek Golf Course, which was designed by Masters and British Open winner Gary Player, is also located at the entrance to this beautiful community.
Game & Theater Room:
Our cabin is great for family and friends alike. We have an 82” Samsung Smart TV in the Theater Room and 2 Serta Dream Convertible sofas that recline in 3 positions providing the perfect place to watch your favorite movie or use the installed HDMI cable for gaming. A beautiful Foosball table, 7’ Pool Table, Electronic Dart Board as well as several family friendly board and card games round out this space.
For those who like to explore we have a loft up high above the theater room, the perfect spot to read a book or escape on social media. Please reach out to us if you would like access to a lock for additional safety of all guests. The adult booking the chalet will be provided with the combination.
Kitchen & Dining:
The kitchen is outfitted with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware. Experienced cooks will feel at home as they create and those who plan to do little more than brew coffee and reheat leftovers from the previous evening's restaurant meal will feel right at home. The dining room table is set to seat 10. You can also cook and dine outdoors.
Bedrooms:
There are two Master Suites. The main-level has a king bed and the upper-level with a queen bed layered in luxurious bedding with fluffy blankets and down comforters. Both suites have an attached private bath with 6’ stone, tile and glass showers with dual rain shower heads. The third bedroom has a custom built in bunk bed with 2 full size beds on the lower level and 2 twins on the upper level. Each sleeping area has its own reading light with USB charging port. There is additional headroom for the lower level allowing adults to sit up with ample head room. There are fluffy blankets and comforters to round out this stunning space. This bedroom also has direct access to a beautiful bathroom. Both upstairs bedrooms have private access to the upper-level deck.
Additional Sleeping:
There is a pullout queen size sofa bed on the lower level which functions perfectly as a guest room with the ½ bath just around the corner. Additional bedding can be left in the downstairs bedroom closet if this additional sleeping area is needed. Bedding for the queen sofa bed can be found in the upstairs bedroom closet.
Decks:
The Main Deck hosts the newly installed, Luxurious Hot Tub. You will also find a new gas grill and dining table that will easily seat 8. There is nothing like eating outside, surrounded by mountains and the sunshine as warblers and sparrows serenade you!
The Upstairs Deck has 2 lounge chairs located directly off of the upstairs Master Suite. There are also 2 adult Swing Chairs inviting a deep conversation or a lazy nap while swaying back and forth. There is also a large seating area on this deck where you can sit around and enjoy the beauty of the forest view.
Wildlife:
We feel very fortunate to be surrounded by the GSMNP. As mentioned in our listing our home is often frequented by wildlife. About every other day we see a family of Bears. This summer we saw a new mama bear with her darling little cub! If you see bears do not panic, simply go into a secure space (house or car) and allow adequate space so the bears do not feel crowded. Never approach the wildlife. Never leave garbage or bags of any kind outside! Immediately place all garbage inside Bear proof cage which is located just outside of the kitchen side door. Do not leave garbage or food in your cars and do not leave car doors unlocked (the bears can open car doors.) I personally have been surprised by the mama bear only 10' away while doing some gardening (I think she was surprised by me too.) I simply stopped and backed away while facing her and spoke in a calm voice. She did nothing but watch until I had gone back into the house and then continued on her way. Please remember NEVER Feed the bears! During the winter months the bears are mostly hibernating but if you see them, please respect that we are in their home. Area:
Downtown Gatlinburg area is alive. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is open. Roads and hiking trails are open.

We understand cleaning is now more important than ever. Our cleaners are using an enhanced cleaning routine to ensure the property has been thoroughly disinfected prior to your arrival. Our cleaners are using an antiviral/antibacterial cleaner on all frequently touched surfaces such as countertops, door handles, light switches, and other frequently touched surfaces. We are also leaving a bottle out for guests to use during their stay to help maintain a healthy environment for all. We hope these extra measures make you feel comfortable during your stay at our cabin.

We provide a small starter kit of essentials in each of the bathrooms and sinks. Please feel free to bring your favorite soaps, shampoos, etc. to feel right at home. You are welcome to use any remaining propane in the gas grill. Refills are not provided, but if needed you can obtain more propane at the local Dollar General or Food City.

Note: No RVS are allowed at Summit Solitude or anywhere in the Cobbly Nob subdivision. No exceptions. Multiple security cameras are located on the exterior of the Chalet & are actively recording the exterior grounds, parking areas and main entrance of the cabin. None of these cameras are pointed toward private areas. There are no cameras located in the interior of the cabin.
