Relax in the open concept upper level featuring a queen size sofa sleeper (new in May 2025), vaulted ceiling, etched and stained glass windows, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave, a charming living area with gas fireplace, tasteful regional artwork, log furniture, HD Smart TV, a full bath and a closet with cedar shake roof. Step out thru the atrium door to the upper deck and enjoy the large hot tub, gas grill, plants and birdhouses where woods and the National Park serve as your back yard ensuring privacy and peaceful moments. Carpeted stairs lead you to the lower level featuring a new king size bed with new Simmons Premium mattress, casual furniture, a glowing electric stove, jacuzzi tub, washer and dryer, HD Smart TV, another full bath and full-length deck with rustic furniture. Candlewood Cottage is conveniently located just 25 yards from the pool. It offers privacy without being remote, personality in its decor, and all of the candlelight, firelight, sunlight and moonlight you might desire. The cabin was very cute, and I really liked their decor. The property owner seems kind and was very responsive to my messages. The hot tub felt amazing. The cabin was overall clean. However, we did see a few cockroaches in the cabin. I saw two upstairs in the kitchen area, and I saw two downstairs in the bedroom. I notified the property owner, and he said that he would contact pest control. I know that cockroaches can be difficult to get rid of, but I would have liked to know of their presence before my stay.

We loved the cabin! The decor was amazing. It had everything we needed. Only thing I suggest is if you're a coffee drinker bring k-cups or a reuseable k-cup insert. Our host was amazing and responded quickly. Super cozy and gave you a warm welcome.

This was our first time to the area and we loved it. The cabin was super cute and cozy. We chose to sit on the front porch one evening and got to see a bear, which is one thing I wanted to see! The next morning, we discovered one tried to get in our truck. Not sure why, we didnt leave anything in there to attract it. We will be back!

Place had roaches. Messages owner and he claims to have stayed there and just left the day before and saw no bugs. We ended up leaving early because of the bugs. There’s no way you could stay here and not see them unless you’re blind. They were on the fridge, counter, floor and even in the dishwasher. Ants all over the counter and sink. I can deal with ants but not roaches.

We always enjoy staying at Wayne’s cabin. The outside view is beautiful from the two back porches. If you like watching and listening to wildlife, this is the perfect place for you! A small bear came to visit a few times and we also saw a larger bear walking down the road at a distance. They didn’t pose as a threat. You will enjoy your stay in this peaceful cabin!
