Cozy Cabin Illusion
Let me start off by saying we had EXTREMELY high hopes for this cabin! We are a family of 6, and usually stay in something similar, but not usually this "high-end" and expensive. It was quite costly, but I justified the extra expense with all of the bells and whistles featured in the pictures.
We arrived at the cabin a few hours after we were texted that it was ready at 1:30 PM.....which was earlier than our original check in time of 3 PM. Upon arrival, the first thing my kids did was run to see the hot tub. It was 62 degrees. I was convinced something had to be malfunctioning, because clearly that isn't a "hot" tub. The fire pit area was completely littered with trash, one of the hot tub jets was lying out in the leaves and ALL 3 back sliding doors were left unlatched! One of them would not lock at all. We contacted maintenance and he arrived fairly promptly. He cleaned up the litter,(which I wouldn't have minded doing at all, just not sure why it wasn't completed after the last family departed) and explained that the hot tub had been drained to be cleaned and it was in the process of heating up. I appreciated the fact that it was cleaned, but this meant that it was completely unusable our first, out of only 3 night stay here. My kids were beyond bummed. We didn't realize the back door wouldn't lock until we went to leave for dinner, so it definitely made me uneasy to leave our things in an unsecured location. Maintenance promptly came by the next day when we called them and fixed the issue first thing.
The decor was very sparse and wasn't very cohesive throughout. It has the potential to be a beautiful cabin. The bathrooms are beautiful conceptually, but not quite executed correctly for functionality. There is no bench in the HUGE 2-head showers, or even a place to hang a washcloth. The back bathroom shower is what we used and only one shower head would produce hot water. The other stayed cold the entire time. Also, in that same bathroom, the sink bowl was so wobbly, I thought it was going to fall off.
The game room was large and unfortunately was missing the motorcycle game that was VERY clearly pictured on the advertised pictures. I feel that is extremely misleading. The view is unfortunately of a street off the back porch-something the pictures fail to show. The river is beautiful, but it is not secluded and private like one might think from the pics. We wanted to love this cabin, but we won't be back. I would much rather go elsewhere.

Amazingly Relaxing
I absolutely loved this cabin. There was enough to keep the teenagers busy while my husband and I sat on the deck enjoying the peace of the flowing creek behind it. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommended it to everyone.
