It was a beautiful cabin and very close to town. They would need to update the tv in living room, but that’s no big issue. Only thing was they never came dump our trash and we had to leave it in the cabin. They need bigger trash cans for outside for a cabin that host 14 people. Also they did have a bear to get in our car. So remember to lock your doors!!
My family and I really enjoyed our time at Cub Path Lodge. The check in/check out process was very easy, great communication with the host Brittany at Bliss Vacations, and the cabin was spotless upon arrival. The pictures are accurate of the cabin and we were able to park six vehicles as we traveled from FL, IL, GA etc. We were a group of 12 (10 adults, 1 teenager, 1 toddler) and the cabin fit us comfortably. We enjoyed the amenities of the game room, hot tub, etc. A huge bear even came right up to the cabin deck (by the hot tub) during the day and at night looking for food, make sure your car doors are locked - so that was cool to experience up close! As other reviews say, the cabin stock is limited on utensils, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags etc, especially for large groups. Because I was aware of this when booking, we just made sure to bring extra stuff with us such as paper plates, plastic utensils, laundry detergent, extra paper towels and toilet paper, shampoo etc. There is a Food City grocery store about a mile away which was very convenient to grab food for the cabin and charcoal for the grill and anything else you may need! Overall, would recommend this cabin to anyone!
The house was great overall as the setup with 2 master suites on the main living area were ideal for 2 families or if you had older parents traveling with you. 3 additional bedrooms for kids meant everyone had their own areas.Communication with the host was quick and easy. They took care of any questions or issues that we had.The game room was a huge hit with the kids and we all enjoyed the hot tub.It was really great to see huge black bears up close as they mad their rounds each morning and evening looking for food and open trash cans.A local grocery store is within 10 minutes of the property which was very nice. The community pool is not heated which is unfortunate for late summer. Our biggest complaints would be the lack of assumed home items included with the rental. For instance, there is a single set of silverware which includes maybe 4 forks and spoons. We didn't have enough silverware the first meal. We ended up buying plastic silverware. Also, there are no real kitchen knives provided, only steak knives. This makes cooking difficult and limits your options for menu items.Additionally, there was very few toilet paper rolls, no real trash bags and no hand soap at the sinks. We'd definitely go back. The house was great. You should definitely stay here, but be aware of these missing items and come prepared to better enhance your stay.
