beautiful place, outdoor pool and indoor pool, good breakfast Problem was that our room was in the "farm house", 3rd floor, no elevator, had to cary luggage at night, husband had right arm surgery. Also the room had low ceiling being close to the roof
Excellent & well run hotel. Our suite was exceptional. Everything clean & new. Hotel was minutes from the town too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. Hope to return soon.
We have stayed in beautiful Garmish over a dozen times and decided to try this location based on orbitz reviews. Unfortunately they were off the mark for our four night stay. The Reviews were spot on with the check-in....very disorganized & staff was unaware of the room ammenties (fan in the summer). Definately not a warm welcome feeling, more like a dollar amount to be made in a tourist trap location. Of note, there was mice in the food/bar area (alarming to me). Our room was in the attic with 3 foot ceilings above your bed to bump your head on. No one was available or willing to help us get our luggage from the room in the attic (3rd floor of a hot building in the summer). Our TV was broken, the internet was basically unusable, and the shower door would not shut (no privacy from the family). Pool area was cozy (minus the nude folks walking around with kids in the pool). The bike rentals were a nice touch (when they were available). Definately missing the family hospitality we were expecting. Before I wrote this review I reached out to the owner, Mr. Staudacher, to let him know our issues and his response matched the feeling of our stay exactly (not there problem and they already have your money up front). We won’t be staying here next visit and I hope others learn from our mistake.
