The hotel was very nice, clean, quite, and the staff was great. However, August in Garmish is hot during the day. There was no A/C in our room and it was miserable at times. I could not find that explicitly mentioned in the hotel description and I did not realize that fact before booking. If I had known, I would have not booked this hotel.
No AC is no fun on a HOT summer night, especially If above the staff and locals smoking area with your windows open. On the plus side the restaurant wait staff was very friendly. Otherwise didn’t find the staff to be welcoming or accommodating.
Overall very nice facility. Excellent location. Great breakfast; included.

Booked this hotel after a long day of skining. We couldn't wait for the heated pool which turned out to not be anywhere near the steamy 86 degrees. We opted the extra money for the privledged room. Don't go for it, it was nothing more than a coffee maker delivered to the room and extra bathroom soaps. The pictures are exactly how the rooms look which is always a plus. Compared to the hotels in the area I would say it's about the same instead of the step above you would expect. It's still a great place for the weekend when everything else is booked, but not my first choice.

We spent 2 nights in the very small room of this name brand hotel. The room and the bathroom were too small and crowded to be comfortable and to be considered as 4-Star quality. I was disappointed that I selected this property when there were other quality hotels available that I know had bigger rooms, but I chose the Mecure because of their name brand recognition and reputation. I would not stay at this property again. To the Mecure's credit, the Customer Service delivered by their staff at both Check-in and the Breakfast Buffet was excellent.
