What a total find. Saw this Hotel mentioned as one of 10 best places to stay on Tenerife. Absolutely lived up to that. Would say best place to stay. Staff were incredibly helpful, and went out of their way to be so. The rooms are lovely. It's really quiet. Lots of places to sit outside, on the terrace, or around the inside courtyard. Breakfast was lovely, but dinner - wow.

Lovely boutique place, very comfortable, jacuzzi bath, nice natural products, great service, lounge areas, small pool for a dip and roof terrac, good quality restaurant Really smashing breakfasts. No coffee machine in the room which I would have preferred.

We booked for a week at the end Sept/ beg October and had a perfect stay. With around 20 rooms, the friendly and informative staff made sure that we were looked after from the moment we arrived. With our plane arriving late we did not get to the hotel till after 9 but the hotel ensured we could still get a meal. The hotel is beautifully furnished, features a large open atrium and the meals are served around the swimming pool in a beautiful courtyard area. The rooms are spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. a. The hotel is located just a short walk from the rock pools and the sea front and also close to the main town square and the various shops, restaurants and cafes Garachico has to offer. The hotel is peaceful, features a small library room and drinks and refreshments can be provided in the public areas. What makes the hotel special is the service. We were always greeted with a smile by the reception team, given information on how and where to get tourist bus passes and places/beaches to visit in the area and all the staff ensured we were well looked after. My wife has specific dietary requirements – gluten free and vegan – and we contacted the hotel in advance to confirm they could cater for this, Every evening she was provided with surprise starters and main courses, the the staff always taking care to check her food preferences.

Amazingly friendly hotel with fabulous staff.

This is an amazing hotel with beautiful rooms. The food was excellent and the staff were so professional, helpful and friendly…nothing was too much for them. This is an ideal location for exploring the local countryside with a variety of walks and trails. Highly recommend San Roque, it made a great contrast with our earlier beach holiday.

I cannot thank the Hotel San Roque enough for our incredible week in Garachico. The staff are AMAZING. No request was too much, and they were all so kind and caring towards us. Special thanks for being so wonderful with Alex (my husband) who’s just been diagnosed with coeliac disease and so eating out is slightly terrifying for us! (they got in special food and drinks just for him!) The chef(s) needs a special mention too as the food is fabulous! The hotel itself is beautifully done out and really stylish, bed was super comfy, lovely vaulted ceiling, nice and quiet. Garachico is charming and quiet and the rock pools are stunning for a morning swim. All in all the experience was one of the best stays we’ve had and we won’t forget it. Thank you all at SAN ROQUE! 💕

Brilliant Boutique Hotel with great staff

We wanted to go somewhere hot or cold this Christmas. Hot won out. 4 nights at this hotel. 22-24 degrees all day. Ate at hotel first night. food and service were great. We wanted something of the native Tenerife experience. Chose lovely hotel in Garachico. The rooms are spacious, have beautiful furniture. Each room is mindfully decorated. The hotel has a large courtyard, a lovely poolside breakfast area and makes the best scrambled eggs. The coast is a two minute walk away, has lava formed natural pools and provided interest for all the family. The village is picturesque. Travelled with the good lady, 22 old son and 7 year old daughter. Holiday was excellent for all party. Alenjandro who took our booking was most helpful for local guidance, what to do, where to eat etc. We will go again

Oasis of calm -- The other side of Tenerife

On a cobbled street in the sleepy town of Garachico, Hotel San Roque offers a truly unique experience for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of resorts, and stay in boutique comfort. The rooms are spartan but comfy. We stayed in one of the duplex rooms and the split-level layout made it feel spacious and unique. The staff were amazing -- helpful, patient, friendly, and accommodating. Not only would I recommend the place, I'd probably go back. Its a five min walk to the ocean and you can sit in rock pools dotted on the ocean-front of Garachico if the sea's quiet enough. There's some great restaurants around the town and the hotel's restaurant is among the best. There's not much to do in Garachico and you benefit from a hire car to get around to the local beaches and to go hiking around El Teide. Also, the drive from Tenerife Sur Reina airport is not for the feint-hearted at night (narrow winding rounds on a mountain) but by day the views on that journey are stunning. Also, the hotel and town are worth the effort!

Great Hotel and Staff

Great hotel, a real Spanish feel to it, inner courtyards, wooden balconies. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Garrachico has a beautiful square lovely churches and museums, would advise a car for a couple of days if staying for more than 4 nights. If you're looking for a place to relax it's ideal.
