The home itself is beautiful, spacious, and very accommodating for a large group. The host was responsive and communicated in a timely manner when contacted. Overall, it’s clear the issues we experienced were not entirely the host’s fault.That said, our stay was impacted by ongoing neighbor complaints, even during daylight hours. We were unable to fully enjoy the rental because we constantly felt like we had to be on alert. What crossed the line for us was being reported for playing music briefly in our vehicles at 2:00 PM while leaving for the beach—well outside of the stated quiet hours (9 PM–9 AM). Because of this, any noise really needs to stay indoors. If you’re looking for a very quiet beach house experience—sitting on the porch, relaxing, and keeping things low-key—this home may be a good fit. Otherwise, it may not be ideal.A few additional notes: the downstairs lighting was very dim, and several lights were not working, making it difficult to see at night. Although the host was notified and responded promptly, the lights were not fixed during our stay. The trash cans were already very full when we arrived (possibly due to the Christmas weekend), there was not enough toilet paper provided so we had to purchase our own, and there was only one roll of paper towels.While the house itself is lovely, we would likely not return due to the neighbor situation. I do wish I had read the reviews more closely before booking, as I was drawn in by the 7-bedroom layout.
